“OMG! This cookie shop recently opened in Fairfield! These are the most disrespectful, amazing, and addictive cookies I have ever eaten! The Butter Pecan Cookie will make you hurt someone. Run and get some cookies! These cookies make no sense!“
“Beth did a very wonderful job for my dad’s birthday cake! I asked for a galaxy cake and she gave me exactly a galaxy cake! She’s super friendly, responsive, timely, and kind. The cake tasted amazingly delicious! So moist and rich! I definitely will want to order another cake from Beth again! Thank you so much again Beth! Much appreciate all your hard work!“

“I am a religious advocate of the Valencia location, so my first visit to this one was held with high expectations. I learned that each location is different and prices differently. I typically love the city sourdough rounds, but at the time I went, they only had longer, narrower loaves that were a dollar more. I also got a cheese roll. The bread was good and the cheese roll was acceptable. I generally like to get chai and a slice, but neither of these options seemed appetizing at the time. I went later in the day and the lack of foot traffic didn't indicate that the pizza was very fresh. The staff was helpful, but it wasn't as welcoming of an experience as I get at my main location. My brief transaction got me what I needed with no frills. It's certainly not a place I would lounge and enjoy a quick bite at. However, the product was satisfactory. Hard to beat that Valencia energy!“

“I recently discovered how much I love Empanadas within the last few years, so I was really stoked when they opened this location. They used to partner with another bakery next-door to the Y in downtown Oakland, so it was really nice to see this spot close by. The chicken empanadas are always my go to, but the Fugazzeta (cheese and onion ) has grown to be my favorite item on the menu! the staff are very friendly and help you figure out what’s for you if you’ve never been or are undecided on what to get. ( and if you have a sweet tooth, they tend to have Alfajores & sweet Empanadas sale as well! )Only downside is that there isn’t much indoor seating which could be a problem if it’s colder out, but this is minor in my opinion. Definitely worth trying if you want some good authentic Argentinian food.
Vegetarian options: they offer great options for both meat, lovers and vegetarians!“
“I was walking by and noticed this store seemed brand new, so I went and checked it out.I got a half dozen chocolate covered Oreos, and they are very good quality! The guy working in the store was very friendly. It’s a little expensive, but totally worth it for a special treat, and I’ll probably be coming back when I need to get a gift. Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in the area!“

“WOW!!! First time eating Indonesian food and although I've had Thai, Laos, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Malaysian food numerous times, I was surprised how different & wonderful it was. Nice staff and very generous Big portion, but really it's all about the flavor, which was Awesome.“

“Went here on a Wednesday morning 20 minutes after opening. Wasn't busy and no lines. Parking wasn't too difficult to find.
Loved the old school, no-frill vibes of the shop. They sold merchandise, olive oil, cans of tomato sauce, their own dough on the counter. I ordered a pizza focaccia and for the size you get it's absolutely worth it. The dough itself is very soft, fluffy and bready while the ingredients didn't exactly have a pizza flavor, but it was still delicious. I lightly toasted it a few days afterwards and I loved how it came out.
Overall, a staple in the neighborhood for a reason. Homemade goodness. Good customer service. Highly recommend going.“

“Felt the need to immediately write this review after trying their mango milk bun and almond cake. Where do I even start? The textures! The mango milk bun is basically a filled concha. When you bite in, the first thing that hits is the crispy cookie exterior followed by the chewy soft bun and then the start of the show.- the mango cream! Such a delicious and heavenly experience. I just took one bite of their almond cake, and the balance between the cripsiness of the edges and the softness of the middle of the cake make this a luxurious tasting experience. I haven't even finished this cake but I will be back tomorrow for more :)“

“I’ve had their croissants, sandwiches, and pastries (all good), but I just had a $2.50 Ciabatta roll from there and I can’t stop thinking about it. It hit the spot and would love to try their baguette and pizza dough next time! The bread is where it’s at!
They also have an adorable green outdoor patio space that transports you to a different dimension and time. Highly recommend!“

“Crumble & Whisk was amazing to work with and has DELICIOUS and AMAZING cheesecakes!!! ORDER FROM THEM NOW! I live in Florida and my best friend lives in Oakland, California. Every year I buy him a cheesecake for his birthday since we've known each other. The owner/chef Charles Farrier was amazing to work with and super accomodating! I was able to order and get the Cheesecake delivered to my friend as a surprise for his Birthday. I called several places in Oakland, California and the surrounding area trying to get him a cheesecake for his birthday and Charles was the only one willing to make it happen. My best friend was so surprised by it. My friend was so surprised by how big thick and heavy the cheesecake was. He said it was one of the most creamiest, thick, and mouth watering cheesecake he has ever tasted before. And I have bought him a cheesecake for years from many different places. I can't wait to go visit him in California to try one of Charles cheesecakes. I will be ordering him cheesecake from Charles and Crumble & Whisk exclusively moving forward! I also saw that they are a black owned business which is amazing. #SupportBlackBusiness“

“Holy Nata - 8 Trinity Place, San Francisco, CA
Let me be clear. These pastries? They're amazing. The taste? All I can say is this: walk over, order one, walk out, take a bite, and tell me if you didn't immediately turn around and go back for six more. It's that good. Holy Nata is not just a bakery, it's a walk-back-in kind of place. Don't say I didn't warn you!“

“Fun little shop! In and out, pick your diabetes poison, pay cash or card, enjoy outside. I had my mind on ANY of the buns. Just waited in line for a sign. Something fresh was brought out, the guy ahead of us ordered 6, I asked what's that, they said "the real pineapple bun", of course we got it, and 2 mini mooncakes (pineapple and winter melon)!
Bun was warm, suger crust, and ooey gooey middle with Pina chunks! HEAVENLY
Not vegan, probably vegetarian. I took one full lactaid.“
“Amazing food and vibes. The plumb crumb cookie is my new favorite cookie in the bay! It’s like a tiny fruit tart—I think the base is a short bread cookie, and it has a chewy crumble + fresh fruit on top. The other shortbready cookie with jam was also very good.
The two other things I tried were the nectarine chiffon cake and the plum tart. The cake was light and not too sweet, and had just the right amount of cream. The plum tart was also very tasty.
Besides the food, the aesthetics of the place are beautiful and unique. Just look at the picture of the menu!
Overall one of my favorite bakeries in the bay, highly recommend!“

“Without a doubt the best breakfast sandwiches on thee planet! I have referred a friend who said “it’s in a league of its own.” I will start with the buttery yet still flakey buttermilk biscuit. When you take a bite it’s just goes perfectly with the bacon and egg. It’s like a party in your mouth! They also have amazing blueberry & Apple cinnamon muffins that are unbelievably moist! The banana nut bread is just as fabulous. I can’t wait to go back and trie a scone. The best part is they also made fresh home made dog treats! So you can bring your friend along amd not feel bad eating your treats in front of him. While he looks droopy eyes. Your dog will love them too! We drive out from the eat bay(Pleasanton, ca) just to stop by!“

“Great spot. I'm a big fan of the Cheeseboard Collective, and this location of Arizmendi (basically a spinoff) does not disappoint. Also, this place is far more accessible than the original, including better parking and more convenient hours.
(The atmosphere is fine for what it is/I don't go here for the atmosphere.)
Parking: The lot across the street usually has something available and it's free for 2 hours.“

“Absolutely worth the hype. I've been looking for a good bagel place in SF for two years now and I'm so happy I finally found one. The bagels are crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside, and the whole bagel is coated with everything bagel seasoning (it's a pet peeve of mine when the seasoning is only on one side). I will be back many times!!“

“I love this place. It's a great integration of classic cantonese baked goods with modern baking sophistication. Her sponge cakes are consistently delicious; the flavour combinations work so well, my favorite is the black sesame jasmine. Today I got a mango passion fruit cheese tart that I inhaled; so creamy and yet light. A must visit on the weekends.“

“We had a grilled chicken sandwich that was excellent, and a chorizo omelette that was tasty but quite heavy. The service was friendly and welcoming, but it was slow—from taking our order to serving the food and refilling coffee or water, everything took a bit longer than expected.“

“So nice to see a gluten free bakery making items like croissants! I had an olive, ham and cheese roll, and the pain au chocolat. Other than the fact that they weren't warm (it was late afternoon and they'd likely sat in the case since the morning), they tasted very good. I really appreciated the pain au chocolat -- the dough had that golden, buttery baked color to it that gluten free flours have a hard time achieving. Is it as good as the gluten/wheat flour croissant? No, but when your allergies can't allow you to have that, this is a happy discovery in its place. Do they ship to Canada, by chance???“

“PennDel's is my neighborhood bakery, and it is so familiar that I almost forgot to write about their top notch delicious baked goods. Real French croissants (I lived in Paris, so I know what I am talking about), a Tiramisu to die for, and the best carrot cake that I have ever eaten in my life. Every single crumb is delicious. Apricot and pecan bars are a must-have for first-time visitors. Or just pick up a cake for a loved one, you can't go wrong.PennDel's was born from a love of baking and community. Thank you PD, for setting up shop in El Cerrito and help make it the inspired spot that we dream of.“

“I happened to hang out around the Mission District and looked up this neighborhood bakery. I tried their Mexican chocolate muffin, which is their signature bake goods. It was very tasty and not overly sweet. It has a strong coco taste and a kick of a spice. The little spice seems to go away after a few bites. Maybe even better if spicier. Like their house coffee for under $3. Most cafes tried to scam you for a $6 coffee. Bravo to the folks running the shop.“

“Honest, down-to-earth coffee with normal prices and if you're lucky like we were, a few neighbors sit together at the next table and talk about their everyday lives, which makes everything real and endearing. The coffee and cake were very good and the whole thing without shouting names, some of you will probably know what I mean.
Opposite is a park where you can watch Thai Chi groups and a few steps away is a great church, Peter and Paul, worth a visit if you like it.“
