“Amazing food and vibes. The plumb crumb cookie is my new favorite cookie in the bay! It’s like a tiny fruit tart—I think the base is a short bread cookie, and it has a chewy crumble + fresh fruit on top. The other shortbready cookie with jam was also very good.
The two other things I tried were the nectarine chiffon cake and the plum tart. The cake was light and not too sweet, and had just the right amount of cream. The plum tart was also very tasty.
Besides the food, the aesthetics of the place are beautiful and unique. Just look at the picture of the menu!
Overall one of my favorite bakeries in the bay, highly recommend!“

“We initially got one cupcake to split since we weren't 100% we'd love it. (Cupcakes can be such a hit or miss) My husband took one bite and said, " Yeah, your gonna need your own cupcake!" LOL. He's not even a dessert person, so that was saying a LOT! Best red velvet I've had in a long time. Super moist and rich flavor. Excited to come back to try more flavors!“

“Delicious morning pastries, and Cheesebord style (but better) pizza. If you get a chance, visit on an evening when they've got a live musician performing. I wish this place was in my neighborhood, but it's worth the drive, every time.“

“I love being able to get a snack before going in to shop. The cafe employees are so friendly, and the pop ups they started doing post pandemic is fun and brings an exciting variety of cuisines. The only fly in the ointment is that they recently started playing annoying pop music over their PA system, making it feel like Im at a Walmart instead of the best grocery store in the world. Please stop playing the corporate chain store music.“

“They are the go-to place when every other business is closed. If you're craving desserts, this is the spot! Whether it's cake or cookies, you can't miss out on their offerings. The customer service is outstanding, and Habeeb from Belmo truly excels at what he does.“

“This is a great bakery. Always long lines and has parking in the back as the parking lot is quite small.
Our favorites are the mushroom pizza slices, which we warm up with our own added items, the Apple Slice and baguettes.
You will definitely not be disappointed with anything you get here.
Parking: Additional parking at the back.“

“A truly delicious coffee and donut spot. I've driven by for years and was walking home after dropping my car off for repairs. The assortment of donuts caught my senses. Some looking artistic and delicious. Others came in for menu items off the grill. Watching the diverse group of customers was fun. Older, younger, and so on. The folks behind the counter are friendly and welcoming. Highest recommendation.“

“This French bakery is like a cozy little corner where carbs and cravings meet their match. The pastries are light, and the fillings are like a flavor explosion that hits you just right. No need for fancy descriptions; you just need to know they're darn good. The vibe inside is chill – Music in the background, warm colors, and friendly faces. No frills, just good food. If you find yourself near Berkeley and want a taste of France without the long flight, La Noisette Sweets is where it's at.“

“This is a beautiful store outside and inside. After stalking this restaurant on Instagram and after I missed pop-up events for Oktoberfest, I finally bought some pretzels. Yummy! It was well worth the wait. I scored some of the weekly specials, the pesto and mozzarella pretzel. I also bought the jalapeño and cheddar. I will never buy one of those pretzels off the street carts ever again. I used to buy Auntie Annie’s soft pretzels at the mall, but never again. I am officially a pretzel snob now. I am making plans to go back to Squabisch for the pretzel sandwiches. The fresh quality ingredients are evident in every bite.“
“I have never been to your bakery ,but would like to someday .I did try your bread at Casa Orinda and asked the waitress where they ordered their bread from. I thought it was fantastic the best sourdough bread I've had in a long long time thank you so much“

“I love a good bakery and thought I’d scoped most of them out near me. Then on happenstance, we dropped into Sweet Adeline this am. I happily ordered practically one of everything and carefully portioned them with the fam at home. Honestly loved everything I tried. Apple Harvest Cake May have edged out the rest by a slim margin. Coffee cake Donut muffin Cinnamon pecan roll Cheddar and Chive scone Gougeres Ham and cheese turnover Savory galette No losers - only winners!! I’ll be back....“

“Ordered 500 mini cupcakes for my wedding in Berkeley and everyone loved them! We got an assortment of flavors including a vegan and gluten free option. They were devoured immediately! I also stop by on my anniversary to buy my husband a full size cupcake to celebrate, with so many flavors it's hard to choose which is why the minis are a great option! Staff are always friendly and helpful. The Shattuck location has parking the back which is convenient and they sell day and 2 day old cupcakes for a discount in store if you're looking for a deal and don't mind less fresh treats!“

“Landed in San Francisco and searched for a coffee shop to grab a quick bite. Found this place and definitely did not regret it. The staff was kind and efficient. The food was amazing! We order 3 different empanadas and each was soft, flavorful and stuffed full of meat. My favorite was the chorizo. The coffee tasted super fresh and was so good. Definitely will be back.“

“You can find any cheese you want here. While cheese gave the place it's name, most people come here for the awesome baked goods or the phenomenal pizza. You can get the pizza half-baked and finish it off in your home's pizza oven. If you are in Berkeley, it's a must-go kind of place.“
“I’ve been buying Eduardo Morell’s bread at the Berkeley farmers market for roughly a decade and still can’t make it back to my car without ripping hunks off to devour on the spot. If you want to know what truly traditional San Francisco sourdough tasted like when individual artisans developed the craft before of the modern food industrial complex co-opted it, make the pilgrimage to Morell’s bakery or to the farmers market or just pick up a loaf at Monterey Market. My favorite is the loaf that uses local, whole-grain wheat.“

“My mother just turned 92. She loves Peanut Butter Cookies, and has VERY discerning taste (all 92-year olds do!) The delightful folks from Nuttin Butter Cookies, responded to my order placed on a weekend, baked the cookies, and delivered them fresh from the oven! They are so big, mom is making each one last 3 days!Simply amazing! More cookie orders coming soon!“

“I've ordered these cupcakes multiple times. It was good. They have many varieties of flavors and 2 types of cupcake size. They also provide box to put your cupcakes in, so it is convenient to bring it as gift to your friends or familly, or in potluck parties.
Unfortunately, the prices were more expensive if you compare to other cupcake places in Berkeley.“

“They're open Wednesday-Saturday from 11:30am-3pm. I want to get that good at something where I can have those hours. Whenever I see a place that never closes, it just sounds desperate. Like a Jack in the Box that is always open is so sad. Maybe Jack in the Box doesn't feel confident enough in their food to only be open from 11:30am-3pm on Wednesday-Saturday. They'd probably lose majority of their business. I've only been to Jack in the Box past midnight and I've always regretted going. I'm convinced Jack in the Box is successful through the mistakes and personal misjudgments of people. Anyway, the ginger cake was absolutely delicious here and it was even better knowing I could only get it for a limited time.“

“Picked up 2 Too Good To Gos for a total $25 . This has to be almost $100 in delicious baked goods. Including a whole pie which says it retails for $30. The Kouign Amann is a must!! I can't wait to eat my way through these bags. Sorry we put away everyone before taking pics.“
“East Bay Provisions is a lovely breakfast & lunch restaurant at The Carriage House Entrance of The Claremont Hotel in Berkeley. “We ordered a 6" three tier cake and a bunch of mini cupcakes for our wedding at the Brazilian Room, and everything was so delicious! It was fun to be able to order many different unique flavors. Victoria made delivery very easy right to the venue, and everything arrived in perfect condition. Would highly recommend the carrot cake especially.“

“Long time customer. Ordered bacon and cheese quiche to eat in and a chicken turnover to take home. Both were excellent. Also my standard a blueberry Danish and their dark roast coffee. Just wish they would return some of the savory baked goods from the past like mustard laced cheese sticks and cheese scones.“

“Wowzer! What a nice place. Everything is homemade. I wanted to sit outside and the staff person carried a table out to the sidewalk. I ordered an Americano and a blueberry scone. Scones are a great indicator of an excellent baker, and this one was excellent. It was light, moist and full of fresh blueberries; so good in fact that I ordered a meat pie to go so I could have it for lunch. It too was exceptional.“

“Interesting variety of bread (they offer slicing service), delicious array of pastries and cakes.
What I go for annually is their panettone. The make their own and it varieties slightly from year to year with what’s available. One year they had Buddha’s hand citrus included in it. It is pricey but for the quality and once a year splurge.“
