“My wife found Mary Kate’s baking before she found a permanent spot, and I have been following her from pop up to this location. I tell everyone about sesame, it is my favorite bakery. The food is fresh, seasonal, organic, creative, and expertly crafted. The people working there are all happy and wonderful, it really is a magical little place. I personally love their cookies, pavlova, galette de rois, frangipane tart, and pumpkin pie. The menu is always changing so be sure to go often!“

“Acme Bread 🍞 is a hole in the wall, but well worth the trip. The smells of freshly baked loaves and pastries 🍰 are matched by the wide selection on display. Everything we bought was fabulous.
There is parking available, but it's tight.“

“This place is the best! All of their pretzels are delicious and inventive (Meyer lemon filling? Lox dill & capers so good you'll laugh at Boichik? Check!). They also have Obatzda, which few people here know. Uli and Sabine are super nice, as is all the staff there. They do a monthly pretzel class that is a lot of fun and will fill send you home with plenty of baked goodies.

“Amazing service from a place that actually cares about its workers and the food is delicious …got my coworkers hooked on their pastries and empanadas hehe …good veggie options … a very good assortment of teas… this place is a little hidden being back off the street, but it’s well worth the hunt and once you’ve found it you’ll be glad you did there’s a little private sitting area in front of the shop that’s surprisingly quiet for the area a perfect stop for lunch“

I included a note to have sprinkled and plain chocolate raised donut and wasn’t sure if it would actually come through in the order since I picked an assorted 1/2 dozen. They included both! My husband said the donuts were delicious and so was the iced coffee. Really happy I ordered through them, and even better that the donuts were delicious! I’m just sad I couldn’t try them myself. 😋“

“The cutest little coffee shop attached to the Claremont. The service was impeccable. Attentive, kind, friendly, and warm. The drinks were delicious. Plenty of little snacks for hungry mouths. Games for playing. My wife would get a soy cappuccino in a ceramic mug every morning. I'd get a hot tea with honey, and a chai with almond milk later. Prices were reasonable compared to how much shops nowadays. Excellent shop! Highly recommended!!“

“Came here on a Monday morning around 945am, and there was a sign saying their dine-in location is in El Cerrito, whereas this location in Berkeley is a bakery. I was looking for a sit-down kind of place so I moved on I’m figuring I’ll be back, but wanted folks to know about this in case like me you were looking for a different dining experience. “I bought a bread machine back in the day and tried to make a bread that was as nutritional. Epic fail! No preservatives, organic whole wheat is the real deal. I have to keep it in the freezer to prevent mold, but the flavor toasted is still outstanding. What a treasure hidden in the East Bay of San Francisco.“

“Lovely place- would come back and recommend! Good spot to read or work with plenty of outlets, free wifi, open bathroom, and table space upstairs and downstairs. I got the cheese/green onion scone and a warm date latte and enjoyed both. Service was great and atmosphere was calm & relaxing. Came in on a Tuesday from 12:45-2:45pm and was very quiet and not very busy. I essentially had the whole upstairs table to myself for a couple hours.
Note: it seems like oatmilk substitute costs an extra 75 cents.“

“We have felt lucky to live within walking distance of Casa Latina. Tonight I put in a phone order, as I have many times and the order was taken carelessly and messed up (Baja fish taco, not fish taco), so when I got home, I had to drive back up and have the meal remade, and then it was just not good. Tortillas were weirdly dry and the fish was overcooked (like, fried to the color of coffee grounds). A great neighborhood place on Fridays, will probably skip it on Mondays.“

Their prices are really nice and affordable (keep in mind they only accept $5 or more for debit and credit card purchase) with a great range of sweet and savory pastries. I love getting their pineapple buns and their matcha red bean pastries.

Taking one star off since their drinks aren't as good, but still a great place to check out.“

Stating that law enforcement was not allowed if they don’t have a warrant. Well I support law enforcement and if they aren’t allowed to dine here then I won’t be back either. They probably still have the same caloric intake, except these are more akin to actual cookies rather than cake. It is better to get something like a cookie sandwich since buying the cookie itself lacks novelty, but you still pay for the price of something novel like that at Crumbl. My only complaint about this place's service is quite slow for something as simple as cookies. However, the place is never dirty, which makes waiting for cookies more palpable.“
