CLOSED?Months ago I'd found their bread in my Santa Cruz store but on last visit there was none and other products where it had been. Sadly my grocery reports that VV has closed. Maybe thsts best. I will admit that it was not very good and it would be a shame to continue if they can't turn out decent quality food that we know they had. There is so little "real" bread left on grocery shelves.
A few months ago I read the news of VV permanently closing down operations. I was mortified. However, it seems the bakery is still functioning normally. Hooray! Best bread by far in the Bay Area, in my opinion. Real Bread, unparalleled. I hope the business, whether it has been sold to new owners or not (I am now confused as to what actually occurred), finds a way to continue as such.

Five stars but… they were closed when I arrived. I got there during the working hours stated here and they weren’t open. I called the number on their sign outside and no one picked up. Don’t know what the deal is and come to think about it, I’ve never seen the gate open. So maybe they no longer have a retail side??
