“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

“One65 was an amazing discovery on our trip to San Francisco. Having spent the first half of our life in Montréal, Québec, Canada where it was hard to find a bad restaurant, we were absolutely amazed by this Bistro which looks more like a high end dining experience. The menu online & the photos attracted us to this location but we were amazed by the well timed service, the crisp white tablecloths, the table setting and the pleasant and calm atmosphere. My choices of charcuterie platter was perfectly sized; the chicken & the pork rillettes where a wonderful surprise. My husband had an onion tart with the crust as perfect as they get & which I envied. He loved his halibut, moist and tender and I raved over my grilled half lobster, so tender that I found myself munching on the shell parts as well. My bread pudding was not of overwhelming size & perfectly flavored. Don chose the Affogato (scoop of vanilla gelato « drowned » with a shot of hot espresso). We wanted to go back today but they are closed on Sundays.?“

“Very yummy stuff at this cafe! A little on the pricy side, but it's san francisco so it's typical prices for the town. Very good pastries and small sandwiches. I got one of their savory crepes and it was great! Highly recommend if you're visiting fisherman's wharf to also visit this cafe!“

We had the banhmi and the chicken and waffle. The banhmi was ok. I preferred the chicken and waffle which was quite nice. For great Asian brunch my go-to place is kan kin in daily city.

Service was friendly. The place has a nice ambience and good vibes.

“Both hands up for this wonderful coffee place I happened to stumble upon, right outside the skirts of Downtown Berkeley. They're located right on the intersection of MLK and University, right behind the Indian restaurant.

This coffee place is honestly a little bit small, so please proceed with caution at all costs. But it really makes you feel cozy at home. They do have upstairs seating, but rather really limited. It will be full at times, and at times, not at all. It depends on the time that you go.

They have a wide assortment of sweet and savory pastries available as well. I got their ham & cheese scone, as well as their speciality drink, their banana cream iced coffee. I love how balanced their iced coffee is with the banana cream, which surprisingly, is made with ACTUAL banana puree made from actual bananas.

The barista who made my drink was very nice and very chill, and served it rather quick. That's what's up!

If you're looking for a locally-owned coffee shop right here in Berkeley, look no further than Bench Coffee! Trust me, it will be a trip worth it :)“

“I have been wanting to try this place for a while, and I’m so glad I finally did. The food was very fresh and delicious, and reasonably priced for the quality. The braised lamb sandwich had soft flatbread, crunchy herbs and vegetables, a tangy sauce, and perfectly tender lamb. The service was friendly, warm, and the food came out quickly. Fava is a lovely lunch spot and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant lunch in North Berkeley.“

“I love this co-op bakery, and I'm very happy that they have a selection of gluten free items that are often on the shelf next to each other. If you have Celiac Disease like me, that's music to your ears. As for the remaining items that are next to gluten full items, the gluten free items are at the end of the shelf allowing for selection of those items that have never been touched by gluten.“

The owner could not be friendlier, or more welcoming and gracious. The chef clearly cooks with heart and soul and lots of experience. The atmosphere is sunny, inviting and beautiful. And the daily salads are always a home run. Because the salads are already composed, and you order at the counter, service is immediate. They also have delicious coffee and tea beverages, as well as a daily agua fresca and some really delicious-looking desserts (one a day). I'm vegan, and they have yet to offer vegan desserts, but they always have at least 3 vegan salads available. This is my go-to spot to bring out-of-towners or to go with a girlfriend for a lovely lunch in a beautiful environment. [NOTE: Only open for lunch on weekdays. I’ve been coming here for almost 3 years, sometimes 3+ times a month🙈🤣 I always get the chicken tikka masala & chicken Cho mein, (I ask for both Spicy but you can get any level of heat you prefer) & a side of the garlic naan. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu but those are my favorite! The owner has always been very accommodating, I’m a picky eater & this is one place I come and know I’m going to get a good meal.“
