It been awhile since I've visited the Westlake Shopping Center. It's supposedly one of the first shopping malls built in America and has gone through an updating and expansion. Came in after lunch at Joe's. Wanted to treat my friend to boba. (Didn't realize Trudan was closed, not that I like Trudan) They didn't have crystal boba and sold out of grass jelly (or probably didn't have any at all), since it was only 2pm. Ordered mango GT with mango jelly (stars) and passion fruit GT with lychee jelly. Both extremely refreshing after a high sodium lunch. I wanted to buy some buns, but it was not appealing at all. I've been going here for years now. I usually go here when I'm craving Taiwan Toast, bbq pork bun, cocktail bun... just to name a few. The place is always well kept and clean. You're greeted right away upon entering. I recently tried the mango green tea, and it was delicious was very refreshing and reasonably priced. I also tried the mango strawberry pudding. I thought it was so cute in its container. It wasn't too sweet and very light.
