“Went here as a solo diner and had a wonderful experience! I loved most of the dishes, with the standouts being the savory flan and the mole with quail. A couple of the dessert dishes fell short for me, but overall this was one of the best meals of my life. I did feel a bit too full around halfway through the meal — perhaps the pacing was a bit too fast for me, or there were too many filling dishes in the middle. The service was amazing, very attentive and kind wait staff. They even cleaned and boxed my abalone shell for me after I asked to keep it. Overall, I’m really happy to have experienced this meal. “Valentine’s Day dinner, got sat 30 min early, which was nice. However the food and the experience was amazing, granted a restaurant of this caliber has its short comings when compared to the value. I will say the 4/5 plates we had were amazing and exceptional. Dessert ? Meh .“

Especially the Santa Barbara Kiln labeled Cabernet Franc. A highlight of the evening. Chef Carlos provided a very personal touch to the experience explaining each dish and requesting feedback. “Tasting menu was tailored for the 4 vegetarians/pescatarians out of 5 in our group. Each item was very tasty and we enjoyed to the last bite. Servers were very professional and knew their stuff. Since we were there for our anniversary, we received a card from them which basically thanked us for making them part of our celebration. Classy touch!“

“We had shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, wedge salad, 20 oz ribeye with a baked potato, and a banoffee tart for dessert. We split each course and the waitstaff had the chef plate it all separately for us which made sharing easier.“

“The food was good. But unclear if Michelin 3 star level good. Seemed to me closer to Michelin 2 or 1 star. Also the pacing was off with lots of long gaps and the in the end went quickly. If had better pacing, i could have been done at least an hour earlier aka it shouldn't take an hour for small bites. I also felt many of the dishes were bland and i wish they were more like kimchi. My favorite was the albolone liver. I also wisn there was a non alcoholic pairing.“

“An exceptional experience that we truly relished. We were very impressed not only with the food but the wine pairings for the California wine selection. Nice light show at the Transamerica building as we left (not courtesy of Quince of course). Only frustration: Our reservation confirmation (receipt) with paid deposit did not include even a simple list of what we paid for (i.e. 2x gastronomy & 1 California wine pairing). I called Quince to confirm our choices, and asked on the call for an emailed confirmation of our selection and was told that we would receive one.“

“Fine-dining meal for $19!!This is a wonderful little restaurant, on the fourth floor of Burk Hall, that's only open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays currently. You should make a reservation on Yelp, but I think they allow walk-ins. There's a prix fix option, which is just under $20.50 after tax. You get to choose an appetizer, entree, and dessert, and drinks. Only cash or checks are accepted.The bread provided was foccacia cut into diamond-shaped pieces. The bread that they first brought out was hard and dry, so I told them it was hard. More bread was brought out promptly and it was softer, but still dry. I didn't tell them it was dry because I didn't want to be difficult. I had some lemonade to drink, and it was pretty good. I also had tea at the end, but it was piping hot and I didn't get a chance to drink much. It was fine.I chose to have the house green salad for my appetizer. It was a good mix of leafy-greens covered in vinaigrette. It wasn't special, but good. I decided to have the pasta of the week for my entree. It was penne pasta salad with feta cheese, capers, and cooked grape tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious and I basically inhaled it. For dessert, I chose the pumpkin bundt cake. It was fantastic. It was moist, soft, a little misshapen, but still delicious. The créme anglaise was like melted ice cream, and I loved it.The waiters were students and had more to learn. Service was very good, despite mistakes. The person who seemed like an instructor was great. You won't be able to find a three-course fine-dining meal anywhere else in San Francisco for the same price. The portions are good sizes and you'll leave feeling fed, but not stuffed. I highly recommend checking this place out.

“Sushi Chef is my favorite sushi spot and the only place I order from regularly. The fish is always incredibly fresh, the quality is consistently excellent, and I’ve never been disappointed.

They’re also fantastic about accommodating my gluten allergy, which gives me a lot of confidence ordering from them. It’s my go-to recommendation whenever friends or family are visiting from out of town, and I’m just as happy dining there solo.
