Amazing staff and amazing selection. You won't find a more sophisticated selection in the bay area other than here. Imported sakes that have never been seen before in the US served here! 10/10 will come back many times.
Where do I begin! We were in the area to help move family back home to the Midwest and I left behind a bag full of gifts I bought earlier that day. I reached out to Millay’s Instagram and not only did the amazing owner, Angel (Angel indeed) meet me there during non-business hours, but she packed us a bag full of goodies for our 30 hour drive 🥹 I’ve worked in restaurants for 13 years and been to many across the country and I’ve never seen such a thing.

I love this super cute and cozy bar. It’s not too loud so you can actually hear your date talk. It seems popular with regulars which is always a good sign. We ordered the strawberry sake (absolutely delicious, smells like jam), and yuzu sake and rose. Everything was really good.

The menu is well-organized by wine, sake, and flavor profiles. The dark ambiance adds to the vibes, making it a perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon or grab a quick drink in the evening. The 40% section in the back is packed full of wines and sakes for you to explore.
The staff is always super helpful and will make a suggestion to help you decide if you don't know what you want. Millay is a vibey, romantic place, perfect for a date night. The wines, particularly the Chardonnay, are good, and the Korean-inspired lager is a tasty option. The selection is amazing, with knowledgeable staff providing great recommendations. Yummy snacks and tea are available, and the spot has a lovely mood. Customers can also enjoy incredible Japanese fusion food and a kombucha option if they don't feel like drinking.
