Aquitaine Wine Bar & Bistro Reviews
Really great experience at Aquitaine. Staff was terrific and friendly. Each dish served was delicious. Our first time and plan to go back.
We only had some happy hour snacks and bubbly... but everything was excellent and the service very special. The deviled eggs were particularly yummy. 🙂 I love this place.
Stopped in for happy hour and had an amazing time. The food and drinks were incredible, especially the crab stuffed mushrooms, just melt in your mouth. The Royale aperitif was delicious, as well as the GSM. Service was friendly and helpful, and he even gave us a dash of sparkling wine with our mussel sauce (great recommendation!) and the gal was so sweet! Very glad we decided to stop in.

Aquitaine Wine Bar & Bistro offers a delightful dining experience with a variety of dishes on the menu. The service is generally good, with attentive staff, although there have been isolated instances of slow service. Standout options include the Aquitaine Royale and cauliflower "beignets", as well as the polenta with mushrooms and steak frites with polenta fries. The restaurant has a happy hour on Saturdays, making it an attractive option for early diners. It is conveniently located and accessible by both the J-Church and 22 Filmore lines. The ambiance is quiet and pleasant, creating an ideal spot for a relaxed meal.
The menu features home-made duck pâté, an old-style whole chicken and potatoes roasted dish, and an excellent beet salad. Customers can enjoy a reasonable selection of wines by the glass or bottle, with a $35 corkage fee for bringing their own. The restaurant also offers a delicious Sunday special chicken dinner, served with a salad and pommes de frites. The herbs on the chicken make it a quite special dish. Customers have praised the personable and attentive staff, as well as the exceptional French country comfort food and quaint decor.
