“This is one beautiful place with colors, art and i think largest mural i have seen in sf, showcasing culture, i loved the vibe, food was tasty specially patatas bravas, short ribs, gambas, flatbread and drinks were just wow! very creative and tasty cocktails. great space for special occasions and groups.“
“We came here after a long urban hike with ravenous appetites. It was late noon but cafe was moderately full. Soon we were seated, welcomed with house special cauliflower & lavender soups. It was delicious and moth watering. I ordered potatoe and sage torte along with lemon & blueberry tart. Trust me ! We all had sumptuous lunch here. I will highly recommend this place who love vegan foods. I am sure ,here you will enjoy foods too.“
“Canela Bistro & Wine Bar is an Excellent spot. Welcoming & lively vibe, friendly & attentive service (Thank You Trinity), awesome wine list, and a delicious menu. Our favorite bite is their Roasted Bone Marrow. I highly recommend Canela Bistro & Wine Bar.“
“Treating myself to a Friday brunch and couldn’t have picked a better place! I was immediately greeted by a genuinely friendly waitress and there was plenty of seating to pick from. I’m always on the search for a good breakfast sandwich and theirs hit the spot - so good!! I actually really enjoyed the smaller portions because they were so flavorful, didn’t make me feel stuffed, and allowed me to try the doughnut plate too:) Will definitely be back for more!“
“Loved their Al pastor cauliflower tacos! They're delicious! Haven't seen this vegetarian option on menus. We also got the mushroom cheese dish to share. They give about 6 fresh tortillas with it. Great for sharing between 2-4 ppl. Great service. The decor and the vibe of the place totally goes with the menu. Came here for a friend's birthday. We were group of 10 ppl or so!“
“What a great spot to hit up on a Saturday night, staff were super friendly and made the night enjoyable! There was a live DJ which made the ambience amazing. Can’t go wrong with anything you order, we really loved the octopus and steak!! (Steak was so tender and melts in your melt)You should also try their cocktails, uno and quatro… they were very good!** PS don’t forget to bring something to trade in !“
“The food was good, but definitely not worth the price tag, with the exception of the uni toast (10/10), the pasta, and the oysters. The steak tartare barely tasted like steak, and nothing other than the uni was worth coming back for. Dessert was pretty good though. Ambiance was also very casual, but not “
“One of the best wine bars in the city! Totally unpretentious, incredibly welcoming, and always a good time. The menu has a few changes regularly and there's ALWAYS a fantastic and varied wine selection. You can tell that every person who works here is passionate and loves what they do, one of the true gems of North Beach.Great spot for a romantic date in the evening, perfect place to chill with friends in the afternoon. Highly recommend the tastings - especially on Wednesdays! If you get a chance to take a class DO IT! You'll learn so much!“
“They have good beer options, cocktail selections and shots. The atmosphere is really amazing with a couple of couches and tables. Wall decoration, coloring and lightings are beautiful. Bar seating is also available.Parking: Street parking is difficult at evening and nights due to busy area. Street parking is paid until 6:00 pm.“
“Nice small tapas place owned by a couple of guys from Madrid in the Mission. +++ great location +++ lots of tapas to pick from +++ fast friendly service +++ nice owners and wait staff ++++ convenient and easy street parking +++ Blue Cheese Croquetas was awesome. +++The tinned Mussells were delicious. +++ Very tasty burnt cheesecake +/- Chicken skewers - chicken was very tender but lackluster on flavor. - stuffed pepper with salt cod way too salty for me. I'd go back and already sent several friend to check it out...“
“Discover a slice of Japan's exquisite culinary tradition at this premier omakase and Tapas fusion restaurant. Each dish is a masterpiece, blending authentic flavors with artful presentation. The chef's passion for cuisine shines through, promising a truly authentic omakase experience. The Chief, George, adds to the ambiance with a welcoming presence that's attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring a memorable dining experience.“
“We visited for lunch. Both the service and the meal were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the Guacamole made with fresh avocado and chips, the Ceviche with plenty of ingredients and exquisite acidity. The Cubano Classico sandwich which is not commonly found in Japan. They also provided detailed explanations about the drinks. We definitely want to go again.Thank you very much.“
“It’s a great bar for your first date; but no one returns to it ; and therefore it’s not a neighborhood bar; but It’s exterior architecture - a transportation hub / station converted to a bar - is startlingly good; but the interior doesn’t create a sense of belonging.Stools are designed to traumatize your posterior; perhaps a short date is best ; the beer and snacks and the service are great but without the neighborly feeling , it’s just another brick in the wall;“
“This is my favorite cafe in SF, and I always make a point to come while I'm there. My fav is the breakfast muffin with all the fixings. The bagels, crostinis and baked goods are great aswell. It's a really small space so try to grab a seat outside or just do take out.“
“My taste buds have never experienced such a gastronomic delight as they did at Barcha Mediterranean Restaurant! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. Every dish that was served brought us closer to food heaven, making every second we spent there an unforgettable experience. To kick off our culinary journey, we indulged in the mouth-watering Moroccan Cigars - a flavor explosion of lamb, mushrooms, gruyère, and cinnamon, paired with a tantalizing tamarind-mint chutney. And let's not forget the Barcha Spreads - a magnificent medley of baba ghanoush, labneh, muhammara, hummus, and bazlama that danced on our tongues. For our main courses, the Persian Tahdig was the true star of the show, with its crispy saffron rice, duck leg, onions, barberries, fried egg, harissa yogurt, and herbs. The combination of crispy rice, juicy duck, and crispy onions was a symphony of flavors that left us weak in the knees. And the lamb shank leg with couscous was an absolute knockout, with tender meat that simply melted in our mouths. As if that wasn't enough, we were served the divine Affogato - vanilla soft serve, and espresso, were delicious, and the Chocolate Cake was a sweet ending that left us wanting more.Although the lighting kept adjusting during our time there dim to bright and keep going from our stayed from 6 pm - to 8 pm, it was hard on our eyes. All in all, Barcha Mediterranean Restaurant offers more than just a meal - it is a journey through the Mediterranean region's culinary delights. Every dish served was a masterpiece, and the warm welcome made us feel like we were part of the family.“
“I can’t believe I never reviewed this restaurant. We eat here regularly at the restaurant and for takeout. The food is delicious for adults and for children. My son really loves the salmon teriyaki and the veggie sushi; I love their unique appetizers / tapas and their sushi. Reliable and one of the best restaurants in Castro and Noe.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly“
“Stopped here for a quick lunch while visiting family at CPMC. I enjoy finding different cuisines when in SF and Piroo was a great find. While they don’t have an extensive menu, they have more than enough options to suit any tastes. I had the pork jhol momo and it was great. Just the right amount of savory and spice to make it memorable. They also serve beer and wine to round out your meal.“
“A unique brunch spot. I had the pandan waffle and fried chicken which was tasty. The waffle was cold and a wee bit soggy but good flavour. Someone else had the bo luc lac and the beef was super duper tender and juicy but also very sweet. The shrimp Benedict was quite good and the chicken sammie was good but the star of that was the French fries they were spectacular. The service was friendly and good. There's no atmosphere but still a place I'll go back to.“
“Seafood tomato sauce Paella was excellent. Also good chicken croquettas and pork, duck meatballs. Pan con tomato very small and tomato sauce not as good . Buecerones was rather dry and also tiny , not worth it. Smoked salmon was good as well as grilled prawns very good taste . Good cocktails.“
“We love going to Terzo-it never disappoints. Atmosphere is good-lighting excellent with a nice buzz to the room. Our server we've had multiple times and the continuity in staff says a lot . We split the arugula salad/grilled asparagus /meatballs on polenta and split a main entree the Greek chicken -with the exception of the aspragus which was pedestrian everything else was terrific-highlights were the meatballs/polenta and the Greek chicken—there's always something new on the wines by the glass list -had the Chianti Classico and the Timorasso-server was terrific as usual-we'll be back-“
“I started with Ensalade de Palmito (heart of palm salad). Very balanced and light salad. I loved the delicate taste. Then Hueso Asado (bone marrow) was cooked right. Medium rare Hager stake was great. My most favorite is Alcachofa (charred artichoke). Amazing marination and taste. I will definitely come back.“
“I’ve dined here a couple of times and I’ve enjoyed my experience here every time.First, I should say that if you see churros on their menu, go get it! Do not miss the opportunity because sometimes it’s not available. The churros were so delicious, especially with the chocolate dipping sauce it comes with. The textures are spot on - crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside.I’ve had a couple of dishes and so far I enjoy the broccolini and the bread with quince paste. I recently had their one item charcuterie board and a pork meatball and it was a perfect dinner for me. The cheese I chose was an aged manchego cheese and it was perfect with crusty bread and quince paste. I just wish there was more quince. And the wine selection is awesome. I’ve always enjoyed every wine I’ve had here. And the staff are very helpful in explaining each one.So the concept of El Lopo is if California was still a part of Mexico. And their menu reflects that. The wines are unique - something you wouldn’t see in the average menu. So don’t be afraid to ask. They have sherry-oke nights and trivia nights. I’ve been to a couple of trivia nights and they’re a lot of fun! It can get loud during those nights.Otherwise, it’s usually pretty chill. I dined on my own and enjoyed people watching. This local bar is so cool and you should definitely check it out if you like good wine and snacking on tapas.“
“I decided to check them out because they are pretty well-rated on Yelp. When I arrived, I ordered the spinach and cheese gozleme which is a type of flatbread, and according to their menu which is on some screens that rotate the images periodically, it's one of their more popular items. They have a couple other vegetarian gozleme options as well as selling falafel wraps and plates. They also have a pretty reasonably priced combo deal you can get which includes a main dish, a drink, and one of two appetizer options. I really liked it a lot, it came with not only the gozleme itself but also a yogurt-based sauce and some salad including lettuce, carrots, red/purple cabbage. I thought the salad was just alright. The gozleme had cheese that is strong and pungent in a good way and was overall quite flavorful and juicy. The sauce is also pretty good, it makes for a nice "cool" and refreshing flavor if you combine it with the gozleme. Overall, I'd say the food is reasonably priced and I would be down to eat here again.“
“Came for SF restaurant week! Started with house vermut, and it was satisfying. Hint of being back in Spain! Serrano - okay, enjoyed the pan con tomate, wanted more. Manchego- comes with 2 carb types, both tasty! Bombas de arroz - fun fritters! Enjoyed this. Croquettes - small, unexpected sweetness! Gambas - poached prawns in garlic chili and crispy bread! Carrilladas - braised pork cheeks, soft and savory! Over a tasty bed of potatoes, peas, and carrots! Crema catalana- the cream brûlée, doesn't required the spoon to crack the sugar topping.“
“Every visit or delivery has been a more than satisfying experience. The food is fresh and cooked to order but served quickly. We've only eaten there once but have gotten food delivered many times. The atmosphere is mellow and soothing and unless you look out the window you can't tell you are on Van Ness.Everything is very clean and our waitress was perfect. The chicken teriyaki is a must-enough for two,it comes with just right white rice and salad with a unique, delicious dressing. My absolute favorite dish,I think it's the best I've ever had and we order it every time. There's nothing crazy here, the menu consists of standard Japanese fare meant to be comforting and nourishing. They have a good selection of sushi and it tastes like it was caught that very day.I could go on and on-for a romantic date I highly recommend coming here.(Note-we ate in late Sunday night, not sure how busy it is other times). Our deliveries are always hot, fresh and properly packaged.Love this place!“
“The food here was amazing! Highly recommend. We came in for a late seating so it wasn’t overly busy. The maki rolls were very unique and extremely delicious. Get the bluefin tuna sashimi, this is the best dish I’ve had at any sushi restaurant.“
“My friend recommended I check this place out. What a wonderful experience. It is a very cozy homey space great wine, lasagna to die for, small bites and salad were excellent too and great company. Owners are super friendly and fun to chat with. Had to bring my husband there. He loved it as well. And a 20% discount happy hour is cherry on top.“
“Best damn brewery in SF. This place had a cozy neighborhood feel while being friendly and welcoming to guests from all over. The brewer has decades of experience and has pioneered a true onsite microbrewery atmosphere with a dynamic tap list and simple yet tasty food menu. Perfect for after work drinks or grabbing a 4 pack of freshly made cans to go!“
“This place is a gem! They have great music and excellent cocktails. The house Martini is fantastic. It's the most unique take on a martini I've ever had, while still being clearly a martini. The bartender was friendly and prompt, and provided impeccable service. Highly recommended!“
“Do you like a place that's locally owned, well this is the place. The owner is there working with the staff making sure everyone is having a great time. Great bartenders. The sliders are truly something your taste buds will marvel at. They are presented on an English muffin that's lightly toasted and served with just a little mayo. The shrimp are served in a garlic butter that just makes your mouth water. The chips and guacamole were probably some of the freshest I've ever had, I had to wonder if she picked the avocados off the tree that morning.“
“I'm a big fan of squid ink paella and this is one of the best I've tasted in my travel experiences, including the paellas I tried in Madrid and Valencia in Spain, and a Spanish restaurant in San Jose, Bay Area. We were really delighted and pleased with the squid ink paella - good texture of rice, not overly salty and calamari were perfectly cooked. We loved the happy hour Sangria (ordered a pitcher), fresh oysters were great and the deep fried anchovies were tasty (although it would be better if crispier).Friendly and extremely efficient staff. We'll come back very soon for the second round!!!“
“Great hotel restaurant, but ridiculously overpriced. I met a co-worker for a business breakfast, and it cost me over $60 for myself alone for eggs Benedict, black coffee, and orange juice. It was good, but it was as good as other places where I've paid half that price. Buyer beware.“
“My fiance and I visit this restaurant before a recent concert located at Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. We ordered drinks and pizza. Both were reasonably priced and were generous serving sizes. The setting was similar to a lounge/speakeasy vibe. It was a beautiful restaurant where we were able to get seated quickly in the early afternoon. During our visit we noticed it getting busier as time went on. If you plan on visiting during dinner hours we suggest that you make a reservation. The quality food, attentive service, and beautiful spacious setting was memorable. We will be visiting this restaurant whenever we are in the area.“
“Great food, with excellent use of seasoning and authentic recipes. The atmosphere was low lighting and felt intimate with the music to cover conversation. The booth had plenty of room for 4 people. The menu had a good selection and all ingredients were very fresh. Steak was a bit chewy, but flavor was excellent. Service was a bit slow at times, with the waiter missing for 5 min or so when we were ready to order. The busser was fantastic. We will definitely be back for more!“
“Both bartenders in Friday night were extremely excellent. Matt was great with patron interactions and I unfortunately forget the name of the other bartender on shift, but he made an excellent drink reccomendation that was an instant favourite.“
“I normally order the wings, warm Spinach salad, new style potatoes, chicken pallard, and the beans and rice. This visit was a short visit and I was alone and discovered the arroz con pollo. That's going to be my new favorite. It has plenty of chicken, peppers, olives and comes with beans as well!! Yaaasss!!! The white sangria on this evening quenched my thirst.“
“We had a fabulous birthday celebration for 11. With this size needed contract which was a bit messy to finalize. We loved our cozy section, service was incredible , food was scrumptious. DJ music was fun. Just wish they open the front room to dance like old times . Dance area is , dark , small and you feel like you're in a walkway or just in the way. Otherwise, great place to celebrate.“
“What a find. My wife and I were strolling down Valencia on a beautiful Tuesday night looking to grab some dinner. We stopped because of the mellow 3 piece band playing and the seemingly delicious menu, which did not disappoint!! First, the wine...wifey had a delicious "natural"' Chardonnay that was crisp and light, reminiscent of a cider. I had 3 different reds - a round the world trip starting in Portugal, Chile then Spain (my favorite). The food?! Well, outstanding!! Quinoa salad, Pancetta and caramelized onion flatbread, ending with a Spanish potato tapa. Ya gotta come here!! The service was fee-nomenal!! , great wait staff and very knowledgeable and friendly.“
“I love this restaurant, The staff are extremely friendly, it's worker's owned, prices are very reasonable especially relative to rising costs at other restaurants. I come here very often, order the pitcher of sangria and the rabbit stew (so so good). Good for dates, group hangs, solo dinners. They give free bread and salsa brava once you sit down. One of my favorite restaurants in SF.“
“?full stars for an amazing happy hour experience?I cant believe this spot has open tables when we came in at 530 to catch their happy hour.Everything was absolutely delicious, my favorite was the crab sunomono and the wagyu skewer. The pork kimchi and gyozas were also very tasty. The dishes that I thought were good but nothing to write home about were the fried chicken skin and agedashi tofu.Service was spectacular and the music and overall vibe was great. 10/10 will come again! For 3 people we paid $188 with tip, which included 2 cocktails.Vegetarian options: There are some veggie dishes on the menu, nuts it's predominantly meat based.“
“We walked in here with my fiancé for drinks after dinner. Luckily, we were seated at a table with a view of Pier 39. We ordered martinis, which were just okay. Our server wasn't very friendly. The ambiance is okay, but a bit old-fashioned.“
“I love this place. Their Fresca and fruit cups are amazing. I walk there once a week just for those two things. The service is spantacular. Everyone in there is nice, helpful links, and friendly. The ambiance could use a little help but is worth the trip to the pier.“
“The veggie miso ramen has changed recipes and is not the same to the previous ownership. Devastated that I didn’t know the last time I had it would have been my last forever. I hope the new ownership does well here. But my search for my go to ramen spot sadly is beginning after tonight’s meal.Broth wasn’t hot enough. The entire dish tasted over salted. Positives: the new set up felt refreshing. The service was polite and welcoming.“
“Magical bar located in the legendary Westin St. Francis in the heart of Union Square, San Francisco. I stopped by prior to attending a gala in the city for a quick drink to get the buzz going. I ordered an Aperol Spritz with a "splash" of vodka (no preference on type). I sat at the bar and enjoyed the drink while it was getting crowded around 6:30pm. The bartender was great and I chilled for about an hour prior to going back to my hotel and ordering my taxi. I felt as if I was transported to New York City, NY but I was in San Francisco, CA. It was a great experience and I would recommend this bar to anyone staying at the Westin St. Francis- be sure to add it to your itinerary.“
“We popped in this place one quiet Sunday afternoon to grab a glass of wine. There's lots of mostly dry wines, and several mixed wines piqued my interest. I tried the Super California Red and enjoyed it quite a bit -- lots of fruitiness (raspberry/blackberry) punching me in a good way. My lady seemed quite pleased with the cortese, which is outside of her element. This place has tons of sitting room, good music playing, and bottles to browse. Our server was super helpful, too. We'd happily come back again.“
“My favorite brunch spot, I can’t believe they aren’t more popular than Zazie (which is also great).I’ve been going here for years, and now that we no longer live in SF we visit every time we are in town. The Boston Benedict is my favorite by far. The hollandaise is lemony and delicious.“
“A wide selection of somewhat non traditional Peruvian food here.We got the ceviche and the rotisserie chicken since that’s what seemed to be the most famous here. The ceviche limon, the namesake dish, was served in a large bowl with such a wide range of seafood - it was interesting to have both calamari and fried calamari on the same plate. I liked the flavors, the seafood all tasted great, it just didn’t resemble authentic ceviche or other ceviche I’ve had before. The rotisserie chicken with two sides was a really healthy order, which was great. The chicken was somewhat unexpectedly a bit dry, you could tell that you had to use all of the mustard sauce that was served with it for the chicken. The yuca fries had an awesome texture though, perfectly crispy.I don’t think I’d recommend the rotisserie chicken though, I think going with other menu items (seafood) is probably a tastier bet.“
“Chef Bobby G is an outstanding sushi chef. He’s innovative, creative, and collabs unique flavors in his master craft of sushi and plated presentations. Highly, highly skilled and recommended to go and taste this hot shot chef’s creations!Dietary restrictions: Meets all dietary restrictions“
“They used to have one of these at SEA, but it has now been replaced by a wine tasting venue with no food. What I like about Vino Volo is that you can get pretty decent food and snacks for a reasonable price. Now, the price of a glass of wine is far from reasonable but when paired with the food, it doesn't seem as bad. I always enjoy stopping here on my way back to Seattle from San Francisco.“
“From the service and atmosphere to the food, everything was exceptional! This is a place that is really worth going to if you are in sf. Everything was delicious but the popcorn ice cream, grilled red trout and the pork belly salad stand out!“
