“Aloft Sunnyvale on its own is good enough value for money spent. However, what truly stood out was the customer ser ice of its front desk. Shoutout to Michelle for helping me out a ton when I was trying to extend my stay. No excuses were made and she found a way to get it done even under difficult circumstances. Roy was also great with the room upgrade when he saw that I had brought a friend and might have needed a bigger bed. 10/10 Customer Service!“

“A little late posting this since my visit was a while ago, but I still remember how much I enjoyed this place

I honestly wasn’t expecting the menu to be that big. It really felt like a proper Japanese izakaya where you can order a little bit of everything, share dishes and enjoy a few drinks without feeling rushed

We tried several things, including the grilled squid and a baked seafood dish, and both were really good. The squid was tender and flavorful, and the baked dish was rich, cheesy and perfect for sharing. There were so many other things on the menu that I wanted to try, it was honestly hard to choose lol

We also had a few drinks, which made the whole experience even better. The food, drinks and casual atmosphere all worked really well together

It didn’t feel overly trendy or too polished, just comfortable and very local. Definitely the kind of place I’d come back to with friends, order a bunch of dishes and stay for a while

“Recommended by my girlfriends who enjoyed dining her before, we made a reservation to meet up so I could experience this place for the first time. We arrived on their kickoff into First Fridays and while it got busy outdoors, it didn't interfere with us getting to enjoy our time together, holding great conversation, and also having Jake as our server who was attentive and swift in his service while being mindful as he served drinks, food, refills, etc. Our group of four shared multiple, flavorful, delicious plates (pita + chips, empanadas, disco fries, spicy handroll, quinoa + tuna poke salad, branzino) and desserts, along with several rounds of the cocktails. I will say that the mango sticky rice did not come with fresh mango, and the ice cream sub worked but did not meet our expectation as we had hoped for fresh mangoes. The pandan flan was also good, but we questioned its authenticity as it wasn't the light green color as it is in other desserts and Asian treats. Sharing as they were still good and setting others up for enjoying without expectation.“

It's not the most intricate or methodical menu, but more creative, spontaneous, and fast changing (apparently every month!). Food is clearly at the center stage. Come here if you are curious about food.“

​This spot has become our favorite destination for a relaxing wine night, whether it's a casual evening with friends or a date night. The cozy atmosphere is consistently a hit with everyone we introduce to the place.
​What really sets it apart are the owners, Nici and Ty. They are incredibly friendly and offer great recommendations. It was a pleasant surprise that they recognized us months after our first visit and even remembered my girlfriend's preferred wine! We also love their flexible flight concept, which allows you to sample any of the wines available for a single set price.
​It's also an excellent choice if you're looking for a laid-back wine bar before heading over to a Sharks game!“

“What a hidden gem! The snowflake potstickers are so crispy and juicy, best enjoyed in the restaurant! My son gets so excited to go here before his baseball practice. My daughter loves their soup dumplings, and the fried rice is our family favorite. Staff is always kind.“

I’ve been telling people it was the best meal I’ve had this year, and that still holds true almost into May! I’m so glad we chose to spend an evening here and I can’t wait to come back.

Standouts were the raw fish round with the salmon dish with thin apple slices and the tuna with what I think was a red pepper puree. The hamachi crudo and the oysters were outstanding, as was the liver mousse crustini. The grilled fish with bao buns was my favorite warm dish.

My only critique is the dessert was a bit too rich for my taste. What a problem😂“

“Ended up going here on a rainy day. Located on Castro St, was very central, plus the place has a very nice vibe. The Somm was actually very helpful and really made sure we enjoyed what we were drinking at night. A friend tried the flight which then followed with more and we enjoyed the flatbread which came piping hot from the kitchen.“

“Pinsa (Flatbread) and the Mushroom Ravioli were exceptional dishes. Our favorite plates out of the 3 we ordered. We also had the carbonara but there was an after taste that did not sit well. Most likely from the cheese? Service was slightly slow however only the bartender was on shift.“

My mom for Mother's Day spun the wheel and we got $30 off our next item, and the owner I believe gave my dad a free spin and we got a free item also as well. My dad said he loved this place so much that he's going to be here for Father's Day. Highly recommend this restaurant to enjoy with your family or maybe just a few co-workers or friends. “I’ve come here twice to enjoy and work from my laptop on the patio. The views are stunning and in the evening when it’s breezy they even offer blankets despite the rooftop being heated at night. The light bites are amazing— I LOVED the charcuterie board. There is a 90 min limit on the table which is fine so others can also enjoy the vibes. The service was great, Chef Tony came out and introduced himself and I sang his praises, the bartender and server was attentive and helpful and both even let me know on Fridays or the weekends in the summer they bring in a dj! Will definitely be checking that out!“

“Not one, twice, I’ve been to this place 4 times. Never disappointed. Food was lovely, place feels pleasant, classy and neat. Cost is reasonable since the portion size is small. My wife is a fan of their lamp chops. I tried prawns, chicken appetisers, I had no regrets. Biryani is good enough. Deserts are delicious too. I would go there for every special day knowing that the food will definitely make my day.“
