“Food was delicious -- salads are gigantic! Pizza dough and cheesiness was a delight. Three of us split pizza and cobb salad and it was more than enough, surprisingly. I'd appreciate some more options closer to $15 for lunch. The lady server kinda spoiled our experience, but another guy seemed great.“
“Honestly 10/10. I’ve been coming here every Friday for the past few months and it’s become essentially a ritual now. After a hard week of work it’s really nice to come here and see familiar and helpful faces. Special shoutout to Nettie, who sees me walk in and knows what I’m going to order before I even get on line. The beer is excellent (cider too), the hummus is to die for, but truthfully what keeps me coming back is the fact that there are friendly & knowledgeable staff that always treat me well. Thank you, Barebottle, for your excellent people & company. Looking forward to many more weekends with my favorite hummus, my favorite IPA, and honestly one of the best bartenders I’ve met in Menlo Park.“

“Good food. Note: they have a nigiri platter that can be choice of 7 pcs or omakase along with a roll. The portions are half the size of typical nigiri.
Chicken karage is very good, has good seasoning in the batter

“Enjoyed the food too much to get photos of dishes, but unbelievable. Still thinking about the lamb agnolotti and the seaweed soup and ... well everything. The Nicks, Griffin, and Ben were so genuine and warm. Tonight was the first night of the spring menu and we'll be back for sure before the seasonal switch -- and then we'll be back again.“

“This place is absolutely incredible!!! The food is beyond delicious - especially the Korean dishes, which are so good they’ll leave you speechless. The service is wonderfully friendly, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. I also love that they have outdoor seating; it gives the restaurant such a pleasant and vibrant atmosphere.
If you go, you must try the Korean tteokbokki(spicy rice cake 떡볶이) korean fried chicken, and the kimchi fried rice , all highly recommended. Even the coffee is amazing here!!!! they serve it generously and it tastes fantastic.
Overall, a perfect spot for anyone looking for excellent food, outstanding service, and a great vibe!“

“The decor and atmosphere is beyond beautiful along with the presentation 5/5 along with friendly waitresses who came by in the beginning but nobody followed up toward the end since it was self service menu online.
The Shawrma sandwich was 4/5
However the rice 🍚 plate with kabobs was 3/5, meat was decent but probably the worst rice I have tried at any restaurant. I just couldn’t eat, tasted stale something like you would taste from the previous day, I asked the server to get us another rice as it didn’t taste good as it seems like an old patch. He went back there and got me the same rice but warmer. I mean how bad can you mess up the rice. I would rather been told we don’t have any rice right now but we have a salad as alternative I would have took that than dealing with rice that I paid for and can’t eat.
I also go 2 sides of fries, 🍟 they were good but double fries killed the enjoyment of the potatoes. Either they double fry them or get them frozen pre fried which didn’t match the quality and standards this restaurant has been given.
Unfortunately I wouldn’t pay for the premium prices and lower quality again. I’ll probably get the chicken shawarma but that’s about it.“

“Ended up going here on a rainy day. Located on Castro St, was very central, plus the place has a very nice vibe. The Somm was actually very helpful and really made sure we enjoyed what we were drinking at night. A friend tried the flight which then followed with more and we enjoyed the flatbread which came piping hot from the kitchen.“

“By far was this is the best Mexican food I've ever had. A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it!“
“I had one of the most unforgettable experiences at 840 Wine Bar & Cocktail Lounge! I met the owner, Gil, on a Monday before the Super Bowl, and we got to talking about life and dreams. I mentioned to Gil that my only wish in this world was to go to the Super Bowl and to my absolute surprise, he bought me a ticket! I was stunned and so deeply moved. His kindness and generosity are truly rare and something I’ll never forget. The atmosphere at 840 Wine is warm and welcoming, the drinks are fantastic, and Gil’s heart is even bigger than the great wine selection. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes and incredible people, this is it. Thank you, Gil! you are an amazing man and made a dream come true! 🙌🍷💫“

“This late-night Korean spot was such a vibe, and I really loved the overall aesthetic. The atmosphere alone makes it a great place to hang out and catch up with friends over food. The dishes we tried were solid across the board, but the kimchi fried rice stood out the most. A lot of places tend to go heavy or too light on the sesame oil, but Chingu gets the balance just right, which really made the dish shine. Overall, it’s a fun, reliable spot for late-night Korean food with a great ambiance.“
“Good food and drinks but Very pricey. Great staff. The food is pretty good. There is a young girl that works in the kitchen that's just Very rude and off-putting for no reason. No matter how nice you are it's like she has something against you. But all in all a great place.“

“Great restaurant for all occasions, corporate lunch, dating, family gatherings. Solo indulgence.
Reasonably priced, large portion size, great seasoning, I support. Recommend especially a dish that was somewhat fried rice like... The waiter recommended it and I like lol“
“Tacos dorado and enchiladas with dry fried beef! Got chicken tacos. The tacos were so crispy and meat was very flavorful! The enchiladas with dry fried beef was interesting. The beef is like a crispy beef jerky texture. I had a language barrier when ordering so just point what you want on the menu.“

“This was a lovely dining experience. The staff were on point and the food was amazing. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and plated and the flavors were beautifully spiced - full of flavor but not so hot you can’t even taste after several bites. (I’m sure that if hot spice is your thing they can accommodate.) I tried panipuri for the first time and had a memorable experience. Five stars all around.“
