“This place is kind of hidden. You walk along an old rickety dock and then all of the sudden a staircase appears with a sign that says dancing! Really fun. It feels like one of those old pirate lairs. Cool and beautiful place for mom and dad to have a drink while the kids explore the swashbuckling aesthetic. And there are cards behind the bar! Good pizza too.“

Pool tables, juke box, long bar, cheap drinks. They had some special flavored tequilas they were making some nice on-the-fly cocktails with for some in our group, and we were really happy with them.“

“Sadly, a day for Celebration of life gathering and Remembrance. A spectacular historical spot Travis Marina Bar & Grill located as part of the history of Fort Point, Cavalo Inn and Lodge Property's. The Travis Marina holds the very traditional buildings with its small Marina and Horse Shoe Cove with the most spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge-SF. The medium size event space was perfect to share stories and reflect on a life well lived, a longtime Friend, whom sailed his boat on the Bay, Crewed on racing teams and wore his Kilts. This hidden gem, right in our own back yard has much to offer in upgraded hiking trails, with Park benches and includes The Discovery Museum on the park site. Sausalito is my most memorable place to spend time.“

“Brunch here was excellent! Lots of choices. We decided to try the lemon ricotta pancakes and crab cake Benedict! I am not a pancake person at all, but these were the best pancakes ever! Just a hit of lemon and so good! Since I’m from the east coast where MD has the best crab cakes, t totally enjoyed these crab cakes! Different in the ingredients but still lots of crab meat and no fillers. Drinks are all excellent choices! So if you live in or planning to visit San Francisco, give this place a try. “Eugene took such great care of us today. We came in for happy hour and had amazing wine and then ordered a bespoke drink which he made perfectly. The amount of care he took to ensure our popcorn was always full, showed care and attention to the smallest detail. I had to cut myself off at a specific time and he delivered my Diet Coke right when I needed to transition from liquor to liquid. His awesomeness and attention to my request makes me want to come back to this bar time and time again. This bar is my new go to!“

“Had a luncheon @ Perbacco with my 9 coworkers and Manager to say “goodbye & farewell” to a retiring coworker and “welcome” to a new coworker. Started with a round of hors d'oeuvre’s. The thin sliced veal with a sauce and capers was delicious! The fried shrimp, veggies and olives/anchovies…also with a sauce was awesome as well. For my main, I had CRESTE DI GALLO - semolina pasta - wild mushroom ragu - spinach - ricotta salata. Our waiter was the best! I saved one of the sugar cookies from my deserts…Burnt Carmel Gelato. Mentioned it to our waiter and as we were leaving, I heard “Sir! Sir!” He brought me one of their meringue cookies to also share with my partner! I thought that was just awesome! Top notch food and customer service. We’ll be back!“

“Cool fun bar on the edge of nob Hill. Very large interior, but very ordinary. Music is good, locals are good, bartenders here are generally great. Mainly go here for big gatherings. But style here is not the main concern. There are some bar games.“

“One65 was an amazing discovery on our trip to San Francisco. Having spent the first half of our life in Montréal, Québec, Canada where it was hard to find a bad restaurant, we were absolutely amazed by this Bistro which looks more like a high end dining experience. The menu online & the photos attracted us to this location but we were amazed by the well timed service, the crisp white tablecloths, the table setting and the pleasant and calm atmosphere. My choices of charcuterie platter was perfectly sized; the chicken & the pork rillettes where a wonderful surprise. My husband had an onion tart with the crust as perfect as they get & which I envied. He loved his halibut, moist and tender and I raved over my grilled half lobster, so tender that I found myself munching on the shell parts as well. My bread pudding was not of overwhelming size & perfectly flavored. Don chose the Affogato (scoop of vanilla gelato « drowned » with a shot of hot espresso). We wanted to go back today but they are closed on Sundays.?“

“Was trying to find a place to watch the NBA finals with all of the Word Cup action going on. Bars in North Beach were jam packed and miserable to try and enjoy the games. Standing room only. Found Tony Nik's and happened to see two open chairs at the bar. Bar tender was great. He mixed us up some drinks he hadn't heard of (Batanga) and they were good. Met some cool folks that came in for a few drinks. Don't believe they had any food in there as we saw no menus or anyone eating. Probably just a good ole watering hole. Would definitely return.“

“I quit drinking before the judge ordered me to—how is that for initiative? Since that last call, no bar has captured my attention. Nor have I returned to any of the bars I enjoyed around here. I’m from the east coast—a pub near a rail station which draws a crowd free of pretense is proper nurture. Glen Park Station is welcoming, comfortable, fun, and built for a night done right.

There are non-alcoholic brews for those who abstain, shot-and-a-beer specials for $12.00, wine by the glass, and an indoor smoking lounge. A pinball machine which takes dollar bills. Darts. Superior bar stools. Table seating up front. A rear patio. No Apple Pay.The bar has neighboring businesses which serve food. One can find Vietnamese, Thai, and Mexican fare within a block. The bodega sits across from BART, on the same side of Diamond St. A pizza place is in proximity. This area has a low-key dominance about it. A great spot for socializing, a walkable pocket of the city wherein small businesses sling good eats, and you have the option to get hammered.

Parking is available in the public library lot after 6, 7, 8PM during the week. Street parking on the northbound lane of Bosworth between Arlington & Diamond is free in the evenings. I am not sure when the meters stop accepting payment-I pulled up at 7:30PM on a Monday.

To those behind the wheel—be advised—residential streets intersect as sharp turns become sudden hills. At all hours there are pedestrians, cyclists, and coyotes. SFPD often posts a patrol vehicle on Bosworth (south of the Arlington intersection) to eyeball the I-280 south on-ramp.“

Sebastian introduced me to two incredible cocktails made with it. It's rare to find a bartender that is so willing to share their love of their craft with an ignorant beer guy like me without being snobby. I can't wait to go here next time I'm in SF.“
