I’m so pumped for San Rafael’s newest bar! I hosted a happy hour private party on Dec 13th with about 50ppl and the space was perfect. Everybody had a blast and we could have easily fit another 25. Can’t recommend this place enough for just a hangout night or having an event.
Ryan was awesome! Great vibes for a happy hour beer. Definitely coming back

Ranch Water is a relaxed and lively neighborhood bar that offers a welcoming atmosphere and great drinks. Just steps from the SMART Train station, it features an excellent tequila selection, creative cocktails, a nice selection of beers, and flavorful drinks that are well-made and not overly sweet. The vibe can be described as upscale divey or Marin neighborhood bar, with a casual but lively environment that appeals to a diverse crowd. The bar frequently hosts fun events such as karaoke, open mic, DJ dance nights, and live bands, ensuring there’s always something happening.
The staff, including manager Duncan and others, are friendly, accommodating, and quick to serve, making guests feel at home. Ranch Water is also a perfect spot for private events, having hosted engagement parties and staff holiday parties, with the staff helping to organize decorations, catering, and setup. While they do not serve food, excellent options like Extreme Pizza next door can be brought in and enjoyed inside. The space is clean, comfortable, and suitable for low-key nights out, meeting friends, or celebrating special occasions.
Overall, Ranch Water is highly recommended for its great drinks, fun music, friendly service, and relaxed yet lively ambiance, making it a favorite spot in San Rafael.
