We've been going to Madcap for the past several years but realized we hadn't been since the pandemic and decided to celebrate an anniversary there recently. Although the prices are much higher than when we first had their prix fixe menu, the quality was pretty much the same, if not better. Fantastic experience, food was amazing and the service was friendly and attentive without being stuffy.The atmosphere is casual, and the dining room, though not very big, did not feel loud or crammed. One of the best restaurants I have been to in the Bay Area.Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate if notified in advance.

Second time since 2021. While price has increased it still offers one of the best value in the area for tasting menu. Most of the courses are on point and creative. my favorite is the jidoji egg. The tortellini is a bit bland, but still good. I like that the atmosphere is intimate and unassuming.
