After a nice 4 mile hike to Cataract Falls in Marin, I was hoping for a decent Mexican restaurant. I had low expectations since this is Marin, but I was wrong! Marinitas is the best Mexican Restaurant I’ve been to in 8 months. And far better than any in San Francisco as far as atmosphere, food and service. I've had Marinitas on my bookmarks for a while, having seen reviewed on Check Please Bay Area on KQED. Visiting the area, I decided to try it for lunch. I rewarded myself with an order of the Bistec Argentino. After a little wait, the waitress came by with little dishes of red and green salsa and a basket of tortilla chips. I recently visited this place, and I had a great experience with friends and their young children. The atmosphere was great, and it was a fun place for kids. The highlight of my visit was the chicken tacos - they were delicious! The staff could be friendlier and more attentive, so I'm giving it 4 stars. Overall, I highly recommend this place, and I can't wait to return.
