“A wonderful experience at Kientz Hall! We hosted baby shower in the beautiful Atrium space this past weekend. Everything was perfect. Our mostly out of town guests were impressed with the beautiful space, the delicious food and drink, and the gracious service from the Kientz Hall team. My husband and I enjoyed showing off what our beloved San Anselmo has to offer!Thank you Linda, Samantha, Elaina, and Fernando for a wonderful afternoon with friends and family!“
“If you look at my photos it probably goes without saying that I think the Comforts Chinese Tofu Salad is basically humankind's greatest invention, which is not a superlative. I'd give it 100 stars out of 5 if I could. Their offering the tofu version without needing to ask for a substitution is awesome, on top of which the tofu is richly flavorful--several omnivorous friends have said they prefer it to its chicken counterpart. The dressing is light but perfectly coats the fixings. Furthermore the staff is friendly without fail and the main drag of San Anselmo is perfect for eating outdoors. I drive out of way several times a week for this lunch and I suggest you try the same.“
“We have been looking for great pizza since we moved to Marin a little over a year ago. I am happy to tell you that we finally found it! This pizza is as close to Neapolitan style that can be found in Marin. They have unique and well thought flavor combinations, especially the "Pizza of the Month" offering. My favorite is the "Escalle": tomato, house mozzarella, house sausage, Zoe’s pepperoni & fennel pollen. I get mine with extra red sauce. They offer a take and bake option where your pizza will be mostly baked and you finish it off at home. This is a great option because your pizza will be as hot and fresh as possible when you pull it out of the oven. The pasta dishes are also tasty and well thought. If you have a sweet tooth I highly recommend the "Butterscotch Pudding" it is absolutely divine.“
“Loved! So busy and lively but you know that's all means good stuff. This latte was soooo creamy and perfectly sweet. Coffee is roasted in house and let me tell you it's some good coffee. They also have a generous food menu and pastries! -Cost of medium almond milk sugar free latte: $6.75 (Because of the modifications)“
“My husband & I used to be regulars at this restaurant until we moved out of Fairfax and further north so it's been a while since I have been here. I went last night for dinner with my sister and we had a fantastic meal. The server was very attentive and patient. He was great answering our questions and held one of the appetizers she had ordered to keep it warm until I arrived. Very nice. The only thing is that now that I'm vegetarian, there weren't a lot of pasta options and I ended up with a margarita pizza. It was yummy so no complaints, but I would love it if some restaurants in Marin would start to make more of an effort for vegetarians and vegans, especially since more and more people are going at least partially plant based. I have to say that it is the running joke for me with my friends that when we go out to eat, I have the choice of a mushroom dish as an entree unless I decide to do salads or apps. There are so many other things to do for plant based appetites than mushrooms and butternut squash. And I feel like Italian should be one of those restaurants that can really do a nice job with non-meat dishes. Okay, that being said, we had a great time, the apps and wine were delicious and the dessert, Tartuffo, was as delicious as I had remembered.“
“An unexpected gem of a place and in one the sweetest little town’s on earth, San Anselmo, California. Service was outstanding and the selection offered unique and varied. I didn’t anticipate that gluten free would be so yummy! I had the orange/chocolate polenta cake. Wow! Was that a satisfying treat! And best of all no digestive issues for me, later on the way back home. Another thing about this bakery on San Anselmo Ave is that it is a place for locals. People as far as Lagunitas, stopped in to get a gluten free favorite. Another patron stopped in and picked up the bakery’s own made granola. I want to go back and have lunch, they have a lunch menu and make savory items. I also want to try there sourdough chocolate chip cookies. Get there early, parking is sparse. Downtown San Anselmo gets busy. Oh! And, they have gift cards available. This place is a nice healthy alternative to Starbucks for sure!Vegetarian options: Every thing made at this bakery is gluten free.Parking: Street parking is limited, especially at busy times. Public parking lots are available but they cost money.“
“I love their food they have great hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. The atmosphere is great and the owner is amazingParking: This isn't a shopping center and there is plenty of parking close to the hubWheelchair accessibility: It is on level ground with with easy in and out access four wheelchairs“
“I had brunch there today and it was delicious! I had the California Benedict. The hollandaise was smooth and tasty, the avocado was abundant, plenty of spinach and I loved the toasted sourdough (in place of a regular muffin.) The accompanying fruit combo was nicely presented, plentiful, and fresh. My daughter had the creamy polenta with poached eggs and eggplant, and feta and loved it. We're definitely going back for more.“
“We came here for a late lunch. You walk in and grab a menu, then stand in line to order. The first thing I noticed was the smell of the food. It was also quite loud. There is a mix of high top and tables. There’s someone standing to help direct you to a seat which may be at a shared table once you get your number from your order. I appreciated the all gender bathrooms. The sandwich was made well. The citrus dressing was refreshing. The rice and beans had great flavor. When you walk by, you can see the rotisserie chicken and ribs, which look amazing and tasted really good.“
“Marcelo was an amazing server and staff, as well as all the other staffs that brought out meat, refilled our drinks, and clear our table. We were here to celebrate our anniversary and wouldn't have done it at a better spot than this. The meat had a great selection to choose from.“
“What an amazing experience, the cocktails are a great start, the garlic shrimp app was perfectly cooked, get extra bread you are likely going to want to soak up all of the broth. The seafood is exceptionally fresh and the venue is amazing right on the water. The service is top notch, thank you Gladys for a great experience.“
“This place is truly a diamond that doesn't get enough attention! We have been coming to World Green Acai since they have opened 4 years ago. Authentic Acai is hard to find and World Green does not disappoint! This is not a fast food restaurant. The care and effort to make high quality authentic Brazilian food is the ethos of the owners. Have patience and you will be rewarded with a delicious unique and authentic Brazilian food experience. It's true that folks travel from all over the Bay Area just to experience the food and environment of World Green Acai.“
“I live in Sausalito incase anyone thinks I’m a regular and I’m trying to plug a friend’s place or whatever. This is the best breakfast in Marin. Food is so fresh and the staff are exceptional. I work in the service industry and don’t usually leave reviews. Really evident team culture and refreshing attitudes all round. Well done to all!“
“My girlfriends and I dined at Ditas Marin and were thoroughly impressed by the stunning view and exceptional cuisine. The attentive staff warmly welcomed us and guided us through the impressive menu, offering a variety of tantalizing dishes to suit every taste. From the perfectly presented appetizers to the impeccable service throughout the evening, our dining experience was nothing short of delightful. The meal commenced with a selection of appetizers that were culinary masterpieces in their own right, showcasing fresh ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. Each dish left us eager for more, setting the stage for a memorable culinary journey. Throughout the evening, the attentive service ensured our glasses were never empty and our needs met with grace, allowing us to savor each moment without interruption. As we indulged in the sweet finale of delectable desserts, we reflected on the wonderful evening we had shared. Ditas Marin truly exceeded our expectations with its breathtaking view, delicious cuisine, and impeccable service. Without a doubt, it has earned its reputation as a culinary gem, and we eagerly anticipate our next visit to create more unforgettable memories.“
“So fresh, the ingredients speak for themselves, complimented by tasteful accoutrement. Agua Fresca is no added sugar which was refreshing. The ceviche with salmon was unique, memorable with its mild use of orange for the acid, fantastic. The trout complimented the delicate dressing of the salad as expertly recommended by the cashier. Cool staff, fun space, drink while you wait!“
“Creekside has taken over as the best bakery in Novato. This family-owned, one-of-a-kind restaurant is our family favorite for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Their breakfast sandwich, eggs, avocado on a brioche bun with sausage is the best breakfast sandwich in the world. It’s $18 so I don’t do it every morning but I look forward to it all week.“
“My friends really liked what they ordered: Cinnamon pancakes, pulled pork sandwich, mocha. I had ordered a Gluten free chicken sandwich which was really bad. The chicken was fine I guess, but the bread was very very soggy and just felt apart. The bread was very bad. My friend had also ordered the same sandwich without the gf option, his bread was fine but the sandwich wasn't anything special. Would not recommend the gf option!“
“Artis is probably the best Indian food in Marin county! I love this restaurant and the people that work there. They are all so kind, friendly, and all very attentive. During the holiday season they even put on a community lunch and gave away huge plates of several different items and even had vegetarian and vegan options available! Pretty special thing for a small business to do for their customers and community, especially in this day and age when so many restaurants are struggling. Their restaurant is also nicely put together, has a warm ambiance even though the restaurant is small inside, and have a nice patio area to sit outside when the weather permits it. So many good things to say about this restaurant, the owners, and their staff! This place is and will continue to be one of my go to spots in Marin County!“
“Me and my family wanted some chicken for lunch, so we came to dhc for the first time. What a great choice. I’m not a big spice person, so I just got lite mild, and it was perfect. The staff was very nice, Richard explained the different spice levels and he explained them very well. We had a great time and I recommend coming to this spot if you’re in the area!“
“Incredible food and flavor. Very accommodating forwards GF diet and good service. We save this place for more special events because it's pricy but you definitely get what you pay for. The restaurant is a vibe not too loud it has a nice slightly casual elegance and a clean restroom. The beef tataki is a must order it's our favorite thing one the menu and when I go everyone orders their own beef tataki appetizer. Salmon sashimi melts in you mouth and anything they make scallops is delicious.“
“Everything about this place merits FIVE STARS ⭐️. It’s a uniquely DELICIOUS experience. Hector was very personable and fun - genuine positive energy, even gave me a sample to try before purchase (first time customer). The food is extremely fresh with an authentic signature taste. This little unassuming food joint is filled with big things: positive energy, exemplary customer service, easy parking, adequate portion size, the food is prepared with loving intention, and you can taste it!?“
“Great place - owned by the same family who operated the wonderful Thailand restaurant locations in Mill Valley and Novato, both since closed. The only place I’ve seen to have their house-made spicy sweet sauce that accompanies the barbecue plates. Worth nothing - Do not skip their Thai iced tea, it’s the real deal.“
“Wish there was a 4.5 Star! Cuz it wasn't quite 5, but more than 4. Food was beautiful and well presented, atmosphere was classy..And service... I think was changing shifts so we got dropped a bit and waited around for quite a while to order.“
“Still on top! I absolutely adore this place. Every time I place an order I feel like I matter to them. It's the little things like remembering my favorite little side of spicy chilies and fish sauce or waiting for me a little after hours when I'm running late from my class that really set this place on top. The food is excellent (and they know how to make it actually spicy which already earns them gold stars from me) but it's their kindness in remembering the details even on Togo orders that really bring me back each time. The interior is beautiful inside and a perfect stop for a lunch or dinner date. Go go go!!!!“
“So delicious with kind attentive service. I got the combo plate and each item was yummy. Usually it's a sea of beans with a blob of rice as a side note, but the beans and rice were stars themselves. The main choices were full of flavor and not overloaded with cheese and extra garnishes. We will definitely return if we are back this direction.“
“Absolutely some of the best food I’ve ever had! True california/mexican food. Very healthy, affordable, fresh ingredients, incredible recipes. I would eat here every week if I lived nearby. We had the salad, sweet potato quesadilla, cauliflower tacos, agua fresca and flan. There was homemade hot sauce and homemade tortillas. Every dish was SO GOOD. I can’t wait to eat here again!“
“If you're coming to Sausalito you NEED to come here! Firehouse is a Local's gem. 1) Delicious coffee options for all your cravings. 2) Great lounge seating whether you're visiting with an old friend or looking for a spot to post up and work remotely. 3) Rotating collection of artwork on the walls supporting local artists. It is evident DJ goes above and beyond to curate a unique experience for his customers! Firehouse coffee is a must visit for all looking to feel the pulse of the wonderful town of Sausalito.“
“Time and time again…. Over several years… we have always appreciated the amazing servers and incredible food. The specials are just that…. Special …. And should always be considered. This is our “go to” restaurant for a night out. Thank youKid-friendliness: People friendly….. which is even better than kid friendly“
“Love this special spot with accommodating hostess with the mostess and tasty treats served with style + your favorite pot of Tea! Lovely idea for birthday or special occasion. You can wear your fascinator or hat, too! We had the classic. high Tea with a split of champagne and we are coming back next week! Take your fave gal pal, your Mom, Auntie, Colleague, Niece of any age and create a wonderful memory together!“
“1st time... but definitely not the last.I have never noticed so many people at a small restaurant at 10 am. on a weekday. So I grabbed a table outside, and to my surprise, I was immediately handed a menu with a friendly smile and asked if I wanted something to drink. I requested coffee..and despite being very busy, my cup was never allowed to go empty. I ordered th Marvin'sScramble....and was blown away....it was awesome. I can't wait to go back..... Great food with friendly service still exists!!!“
“From the time we sat down to the time we left... all the servers were very nice and attentive. The food was so flavorful. The calamari was small piece but it overfilled the plate. The fish and chip have some of the best seasons I ever had. Will definitely come back if I am in the area again.“
“Fun, great food, European type of service, and a really fun atmosphere. Love the French Onion soup on a cold night. Only complaint, their baguette is quite expensive, though absolutely delicious and served with really great butter. Wine is priced in line with most restaurants in Marin, so not ordering a lot of wine during our visits.Would highly recommend Amélie.“
“Been going here all my life and every time I come back to Novato I also stop by. It's one of the few resteraunts that quality has remained since my childhood. There is a reason this place is packed during lunch amongst the two high schools it's great quantity and quality for the price. Not to mention the workers there are extremely kind and welcoming.“
“We ordered the salmon tacos(10/10), the classic burger and the chicken quesadilla and was really good, big portions and great flavor. The turkey sandwich wasn’t as good as the rest of the food I don’t recommend that one at all, it was dry and flavourlessThey have happy hour from 3-6pm M-F on beer, wine and small bitesGreat beer selection and presentation. I would definitely be back here.“
“Very tasty somewhat deconstructed Caesar salad with wonderful white anchovies! Pork chop to die for. Good cocktails, beautifully cooked scallops. Only wish the sauce on the scallops had been less salty but glad i ordered them. A bit noisy but nice cozy fire to keep us warm. Will return.“
“I LOVE Saylor's for yummy carnitas tacos, the perfectly made, thin chips and great salsa. The staff is all very nice. I think it's fun to sit in the tiny bar area, but the main restaurant is also nice when you want a calmer eating environment. Cheers!“
“Although one may think it is about bacon, it is so much more. The diversity of dishes are wonderful, and even the side salad with the sandwiche is robust, and the homemade dressings are very good. Check out the Cobb Salad, as you will not go hungry.“
“We had a great time grabbing some drinks here before dinner. It started as a quiet bar experience, but then our bartender struck up a great conversation with us which really helped us feel more at home while we were so far away from home. I'd definitely go again!P.S. they don't serve food. Not sure if you can bring food in.“
“Best gyro north of the GGB! My favorite is the lamb and beef. You know you are on to a good thing when the local police and fireman get lunch at the Happy Gyros on a regular basis. Easy on/,off access both south and northbound 101 with plenty of parking.Parking: Adjact to Goodman's parking lot so spaces always available“
“Rock Club catered my husband's retirement party. Easy to communicate with, flexible & arrived early to set up for event. Their burgers, fries & onion rings were awesome & EVERYONE raved about them. My husband is still talking about how delicious they were today. I am sure I will be getting many texts asking for their info. Thank you again so much!!“
“Great food choices. This is an order-at-the-counter place, so no table service, but the workers were kind and responsive. And the food came out very fast. Sitting outside is probably preferable for atmosphere but we came in a cold day and sat inside which was just “OK.”“
“Went for a morning drive to Sausalito from San Francisco. I hadn’t been to this town in ages & wanted to revisit this charming town. I googled places for breakfast & Fred’s looked promising so we headed there. There’s a small shared parking lot next to the cafe & plenty of street parking. It’s a small cafe with some outdoor seating & it was pretty busy on Saturday morning. We were seated at a large shared table with two other people. They didn’t mind & neither did we. Extensive menu- I’d read the most popular items are the lemon ricotta pancakes, egg plate with sweet bacon, deep fried French toast & the Swedish, but looking at fellow customers plates who’d ordered some of the dishes, I decided I could not eat such large portions! I went for the single berry waffle & my husband ordered the veggie omelette. The waffle was delicious; only wish the syrup they served was realMaple syrup. I don’t eat the fake stuff so I skipped it. The omelette was very nice & came with toast & hash browns. We had ordered cappuccino & laughed when we saw the size of the “cup” - almost like a mini bathtub! I’m fussy about my coffee & this one just ok.Overall, a nice little place to enjoy breakfast before walking down to the marina & town center.“
“Hands-down best burger in Marin. Cooked to perfection to your preference, Golden brown fries every time served with their staple House soup to dip them fries in... Come on man! Right when you walk in this place you feel like you're back in the prime time. Less than five minutes off the 101, some say it's off the beaten path, but this place is right in my backyard and it truly makes you feel right at home. Cordon Bleu, lamb chops, I just don't know what kind of night it's going to be... the burger it is!“
“This is my neighborhood bakery it's the BEST and I basically go every morning. My go to is the Pain Suisse, delicious ? my daughter's favorite is the chocolate croissant, and my son's all about the morning bun. The staff is so friendly anf welcoming you must visit.“
“I ordered a pizza for delivery, pizza was excellent! And I’m originally from the east coast so I grew up eating some of the best NY style thin crust pizza. This pizza is some of the best I’ve had in California and I’ve lived throughout the state over the last 16yrs. Authentic thin crust NY style.“
“I've been looking at this place for a while and finally decided to give it a try. I tried a beef/lamb shawarma platter. My food was delicious, service was friendly and efficient. Not sure, but it may also be family owned and run. Which I love supporting. This does not have a "first date" ambience. But, that's ok because it's more like the place you and your sweetie or friends will want to make your "regular go to and take home and snuggle on couch together or hang out at the dinner table" place. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the minimal seating area and "ambience." If I could rate 4.5 I would. But, I'm definitely going back. Yummy.“
“Fun neighborhood-type place. We always feel welcome and happy at La Locanda. The Caesar salad actually tastes like anchovies and the Parmesan makes the dressing a little creamy. All the Pinsa is delicious. We've tried them all and enjoyed each variety. Re wine, If you ask for a mineral-ly white, they will recommend and you'll be happy. All the dishes the wait staff carried by us looked tempting. All the wait staff is friendly. One problem: the focaccia is so good that it's hard to stop eating it.“
“Squalo Vino is more than a wine bar. It's a place to enjoy wine of course but it's the ambience and attention, particularly from Kelly that really sets it apart. Not to say that everyone who works there isn't great! If Cheers could be reincarnated as an upscale wine bar, it would be called Squalo Vino...Love them!“
“The surf and turf burrito is well worth the hype here. All of the cocktails are delicious, you really can’t go wrong. Playa has a great atmosphere inside and a back patio. Good clean classic Hispanic favorites like the carnitas plate, all kinds of tacos, and various plates. My only feedback…$19 for chips and guac…cmon guys. We are definitely regulars here. If you can catch taco Tuesdays, try to get there early!“
“Lovely meal last night! Dishes were creative, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Wine list and guidance were terrific complements. Ambience was relaxing. Service was wonderfully personable and prompt. The only (good) problem - the diverse menu presented too many alluring choices for one dinner, so we will be back for sure. Thank you for a terrific dinner!“
