I had to click stars in order to post this comment, which I wanted to post in advance in hopes that the restaurant might become more of a real Jewish Deli than the sandwich photos show. The pictures show the sandwiches to be super skimpy, nothing like an authe tic Jewish deli makes sandwiches with the thinly sliced meat layered high and thick. For decades the San Francisco Bay Area has gotten away withcalling mere sandwich shops Jewish delis, You're not really serving this sad little Skippy sandwiches with 2 to 3 slices of layers of meat instead of many layers of delicious slices of meat piled high. Not since the Union Deli on Union Street in San Francisco closed decades ago has San Francisco had a truly excellent deli. In any case I look forward to trying this one, although with low expectations due to the photos.“

“I had lunch here with a friend and it was such a nice break. Sitting on the sunny terrace at the picnic tables gave it a real vacation feel. The lunch options are fresh and farm-to-table inspired, simple but well done. The bread is excellent, so good that I brought one home. A relaxed spot with good food and an easy, pleasant atmosphere.“

“Really good pizza, amazing risotto, awesome caesar salad and kick ass Brussels sprouts.

First I went for the pizza and was really happy with it. Then I saw they have risotto and tried it. Then I saw they make their own pasta. Been there a couple of times and didn't even order the pizza and was completely satisfied. Last time there I tried the ravioli of the month which was really good.

It's definitely our regular pizza place now.

Service is hit or miss. Never bad.

On cold days it does get cold inside at times. Not the warmest place to go for dinner. Last time it was actually freezing inside and I felt like the AC was on when I was in the 40s outside. After about a half hour the heat seemed to have kicked in and it warmed up. That was weird. If you get cold easily bring a jacket to wear inside.

Update after a few visits over a year or so:
Tonight was spot on with everything. The monthly pizza was the best we've had so far. I love how they change up the risotto. It's good each time. I usually get the caesarlina salad which is delicious but since it was a cold day, I tried the minestrone. It was fantastic. I finally remembered to take pics this time.

There are a couple of new really good spots in San Rafael now that do legit Neapolitan pizza. Pizzalina shines with their crisp NY style crust.“

“Amazing Asian tofu salad! Only issue is I carried out and didn’t see that you have to pay extra for them to mix it. That is bizarre and was super annoying but it is truly addictive and my boyfriend couldn’t stop talking about it. I wouldn’t change a thing except the staff was rude and the salad should be mixed without an up charge!“

“World Green Açaí Bowl Juice is an amazing place that truly exceeded all my expectations. The location is excellent and very convenient, making it easy to stop by and enjoy a great meal. The space itself is absolutely beautiful, well-decorated, cozy, welcoming, and extremely clean, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.

I ordered an açaí bowl just like the one in the photo, and it was absolutely delicious. Without a doubt, it was the best açaí I have ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, very fresh, and incredibly well prepared. It was simply amazing and did not disappoint at all.

The staff deserves special recognition: the attendants are super polite, friendly, and attentive, always making sure customers feel comfortable and well taken care of. Overall, World Green Açaí Bowl Juice offers an outstanding experience, combining great service, a lovely environment, and wonderful food. I ordered the medium heat level, which had a great kick but wasn’t overpowering. For those looking for a real challenge, they have hotter options too, but beware – it’s not for the faint of heart! I didn't ask, but I think they make the cones in-house. Anyway, strange combination, I know. The mango was immediately delicious but I think I messed up combining the two because when it came time for the hazelnut, I was too full to truly enjoy the depth of flavor. Next time, I'll get it to take home. I love the location, it's in one of my favorite areas of San Rafael with shopping, good food and entertainment in abundance. “Really great cafe with delicious Korean food. The kimchee was delicious and each dish we ordered was loved by our group of 4. The protein bowl (both chicken and beef) were LOVED. I had the kimchee soup meal and it was amazing. Staff were kind and the prices were reasonable.

By the way, at this point all of the negative reviews are from 2+ years ago and the concerns they note (few options and small portions) were not at all what we experienced. A good sized menu for a small cafe and the portions were perfect - and we were hungry. I think they adapted to the feedback. The average stars here should be much closer to 5. If there were any hesitations at all the matcha and boba were not favorites (not bad, but not at the level of the food)

“Yosumi Ramen is a fantastic newer spot that genuinely surprised me in the best way. We originally stopped in for sushi, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The quality definitely exceeded expectations for a newer restaurant in the area.

The staff was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. You can tell they care about what they’re doing. The space itself is clean, modern, and comfortable…perfect for a casual lunch or an easy dinner out.

I didn’t try the ramen this time, but after seeing it come out for other tables, I’m absolutely getting it on my next visit. It looked incredible. All in all, Yosumi Ramen is definitely worth a try, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.

“love love love it here! my mom and I stayed in fairfax for a whole week and we ate here several times. food is amazing, atmosphere is amazing, staff is amazing. special shout out to our main man Ty who remembered us by name and was always super fun and friendly every time we came in. he may even play you a few songs on his guitar if you’re lucky. this place was definitely a highlight of our trip and i’ll miss going there when we leave. we could also tell that this place is a huge hit with the locals which is always nice to see. thanks for all of the great food, drinks, conversations, and songs Barefoot Cafe! until next time! -Ebony“

“Ordered a seeded levain bread to go, a lemon scone and the blueberry maple syrup muffin. Perfectly ready early and was notified which was great. The muffin and scone were excellent…tasty! The bread, which is a tad pricey (12.50) was overdone on the bottom so unfortunately the overpowering taste was burnt. Decided to salvage the excellent bread by cutting off the burned bottom! I have not experienced this at other fine, artisan bakeries in the area. May have to try the epi!“

Eric advised us on the menu, supported me through the ordering process and troubleshooting quantities needed, checked out our location ahead of time, arrived early/on time for set up, and provided all of the signage we needed to ensure people knew ingredients and allergy information. The food was great - so healthy and filling. We heard numerous compliments about the food, including from many people who said they would like to use Humbowl for a future event in their work unit. We also appreciated their provision of serving utensils and the eco-friendly materials (bowls and serving containers). The fact that they have a neurodiverse hiring program that supports inclusion in our community was icing on the cake. We are already planning to use them for our next event. Highly recommend!“

“What a gem of a restaurant! We unintentionally stumbled upon Bolinas earlier this month while on vacation. When the Muir Woods closed due to the government shutdown, we pivoted, and we are so happy we did. Our party of 8, which they so accommodatingly allowed us to spilt into separate tables for 4 adults and 4 tweens, had the best time on their patio. The service was stellar and warm, the atmosphere was friendly and there wasn't a stranger to be found, and the food was even better than both those combined. Thanks to the whole crew for being the highlight of the day.“
