Awesome Food and kind staff!
First time visit and absolutely loved the large Gastronomique pizza!! The Watermelon salad and Caesar salad were very good as well.
The only criticism would be that the salads were delivered shortly before the pizza was. It would have been nice to have some more time to enjoy the salads.
Will definitely add this to our go to pizza place when in town!!!

Surprised and delighted. Pizza was great. I had a Funhgi small and my neighbor had a small Sierra. Enough for two meals. Every person working there was super nice. The brunch menu looked yummy also.

The Village Italian Restaurant is a charming and unassuming spot in Novato, offering a fantastic pizza and pasta selection. The cozy indoor and outdoor covered patio seating provides a lovely atmosphere to enjoy their delectable offerings, including the addictive bread and a great wine selection. Vegetarians can customize their orders, such as the garlic cheese bread without cheese, paired with a side of marinara. The restaurant also serves delicious dishes like linguine al pesto with sausage, and a unique potato-skin-style pizza appetizer. The interior features a gorgeous space with a huge cathedral ceiling, big stout wooden beams, simple decor, and soft lighting that creates a cozy and warm vibe. Despite the prices being a bit higher than expected, attentive service and a calm ambiance make dining here worthwhile, especially for pizza lovers. Recent reviews highlight the freshness and quality of the food, including tasty garlic bread, pesto chips, and the meatball and sausage sandwich, which is praised for its crunchy bread, melted cheese, and flavorful meat. Many guests appreciate the friendly staff and excellent customer service, including quick corrections and discounts. The atmosphere is suitable for both a first date or a family holiday dinner. Guests note that the Italian dishes, such as piccata and parmigiana, are consistently delicious and plentiful, often with leftovers for another meal. The house-made fresh bread and salads are well-liked, and the pear, arugula, blue cheese pizza is a family favorite. The historic building adds to the charming setting, making this place a true gem for its great food and welcoming vibe.
