“Of all of our favorite places to eat, this is one my wife and I count as the very top tier.

The service is always excellent. We've never asked for anything to not receive it or have the item forgotten about, they are always quick to accommodate, and every person who works here is friendly and well mannered.

As for the food, it is the best sushi I've ever had next to Bamboo in Portland (and still, I think I prefer Sushi Tri). When we're travelling, we now frequently overlook sushi places simply because the fear is that we will just miss what we get at Sushi Tri.

We are creatures of habit, so usually, we order any combination of the pork gyoza, the California hand rolls, the King Dragon Roll, the Mount Fuji Roll, and the spicy tuna tacos. More often than not, we will order all of these things, if we aren't trying something new, and often, we'll walk out considering coming right back in for more in a disguise, so we don't look as shameful as we feel wanting more when we're full (but looking ridiculous isn't off the table). Their ramen is also fantastic, and among my favorites.

The dining area is always spotless, and is very comfortable. If you're worried about missing an important game when having dinner out, they've got that covered, too. We've never had too much trouble getting a seat here, but it does get busy, because it is, indeed, the best.

We recommend Sushi Tri to literally anyone who comes into Marin.“

“JUST GO, stop looking at other dinner options and just go to Little Goan—you will not be disappointed. Some of the best Indian/Goan food I’ve had in the states, if you’re searching for a transcendent state-get the Caldine curry. If the food wasn’t enough, the service and vibes are also spectacular. Can’t wait to go back to Novato to eat here again, til then I’ll be dreaming about that curry.“

“Yosumi Ramen is a fantastic newer spot that genuinely surprised me in the best way. We originally stopped in for sushi, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The quality definitely exceeded expectations for a newer restaurant in the area.

The staff was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. You can tell they care about what they’re doing. The space itself is clean, modern, and comfortable…perfect for a casual lunch or an easy dinner out.

I didn’t try the ramen this time, but after seeing it come out for other tables, I’m absolutely getting it on my next visit. It looked incredible. All in all, Yosumi Ramen is definitely worth a try, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.

“We’re longtime guests of the Novato IHOP, and we still come back to it after we moved out of the immediate area. Simply put, it’s the most consistent, quality dining experience in our experience in this area, from being seated and served, to the food itself. There are not-so-subtle differences between different IHOPs, and this one has always been extremely well managed and run - even during COVID and beyond, when the entire dining out landscape was thrown into turmoil.

Highlights (for us), foodwise:
Cheesesteak Stacker, any pancakes with fruit (IHOP is, still in our opinion, the reigning pancake kings), the burgers (which exist on the same level as other “gourmet” burgers), and the breakfast tacos.

I want to again call out management and service, because the team here moves with urgency - Lupita, Elvia, Ashley and the rest of the team are simply without peer in the waitstaff realm, and team collectively has easily 100+ years of hospitality experience. That’s next to impossible to find in a chain restaurant, and combined with how consistently the kitchen cranks out quality casual dining food, the experience here exceeds what we would have ever expected. Thus - the frequent returns!“

“This place is a long time Novato staple. My last visit started off with a friendly greeting from the hostess who led us to our seats. We decided to order glasses of wine versus a bottle for pairing with our dishes. The evening started with a delicious burrata with crostini. I enjoyed the chicken parm with pasta on the side. This is one of my favorite Italian dishes and this one performed above expectations. The chicken was tender and pounded thin while not being over breaded. Thanks, Chianti, for a delicious evening.“

“First time there since the remodel. Very clean restaurant! I had a great American breakfast with sausage that tasted just right! We all commented on how good the sausage tasted! My friend had Desyuna and the chorizo and plantains were just right.

We checked out their dinner menu and we will be back.

“The pizza was good — not amazing, but solid — and the ranch dressing was incredible. We popped in because The Village had a 45-minute wait and got seated right away, which was a win. Lots of TVs, so we could watch both the MLB playoffs and college football, and our server was genuinely great — friendly and helpful. That said, it definitely leans more toward an adult vibe. Even though there’s an arcade, the prices are a bit steep ($17 for a kid’s spaghetti and one meatball). And the playlist? Let’s just say it was giving “bow chicka bow wow late-night R&B” energy — not exactly the soundtrack I expected for family pizza night at 6:30 p.m on a Saturday. We’ll probably go back, but next time, maybe earlier in the day when hopefully it’s more family-friendly.“

“I've lived in Novato for six years. I've tried several Chinese restaurants and haven't been impressed. I've resorted to driving down to Ping's in Northgate One. That all changed today when I stopped at China Village in the San Marin Plaza. They know their stuff! Everything was flavorful and delicious. I'll be back!“

Kid-friendliness: Yes, very kid friendly. Lots of grass across the parking lot for kids to run around (supervised) as it is in the middle of a parking lot and a busy street.“

“I had a super steak burrito on three separate occasions and throughly enjoyed the burrito every time. Top 5 burritos I've ever tried and I've tried most of them from the bay, says a lot. The meat has a nice smoky flavor and the hananero salsa was on point“

“Wow, I've found my new favorite Northbay Chinese restaurant! Sat down for a to go order, and ordered a bowl of hot and sour soup while waiting, which was delish. I was pleasantly impressed with the comfortable and plush seating at booths and tables I headed home with Black Pepper Beef, Salt and Pepper Pork Chop, and General's Chicken, and we happily devoured all dishes; they were all savory, juicy, tender, and the meat was perfectly cooked. The batter on the pork and chicken was still tasty when we polished off the leftovers the next day. The only slight demerit was the service was a bit off-putting; the waiters were not welcoming when I arrived and didn't seem to be happy working there. I'll be coming back again, that's for sure and hope the staff were just having a bad day.“
