“There’s something about Brixx that just instantly put me at ease, like I had been there a hundred times before even though it was one of my first visits. Right in downtown Petaluma, it has that warm, lived-in, family-run energy where you can tell people genuinely care, not just about the food but about you having a good time. The whole place buzzes in the best way, with that comforting mix of laughter, conversation, and the smell of pizza that hits you before you even sit down.

We ordered the Uncle Vido and the spicy Hawaiian, and I am still thinking about both. The crust had that perfect thin, slightly crispy bite but did not fall apart under all the toppings, which feels like an art form. The Uncle Vido was rich and savory in that “one more slice, okay one more” kind of way, while the spicy Hawaiian totally surprised me. Sweet, salty, and a little kick of heat, just chaotic enough to be addictive. You can tell they are not just throwing pizzas together here. Everything feels intentional and dialed in.

“This review comes from not only someone that has worked and lived in South Korea but also has been taught how to properly prepare Korean food. ... Food here is excellent! Side dishes are adequately for the main dish. Kimchi varieties excellent flavor without relying on heat/peppers. The menu has enough selection and variety to keep coming back. Dinner portions are larger than lunchtime specials.

Pro Tip: Order 'All-a- Cart' for 2 lunch specials and 1 with the lunch meal rice and salad. More than enough for two people.

“As a local, this is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant around. All the food is delicious and there are plenty of vegetarian options. I got the tofu tacos for the first time the other day, which are vegan, and they were the best tofu tacos I’ve had! The staff are friendly and the service is usually extremely fast, though if it’s packed it slows down a reasonable amount. It’s also got a great atmosphere both inside and outside.“

“Yummy beers and lively ambiance. We happened to visit on Trivia night, and it was a little loud for us but in a fun way. Meaning, I prefer more quiet places, but this was obvious a local favorite spot and families and couples were out having fun. The taco and burrito truck outside makes delicious food, too, and we appreciated having a nice indoor/outdoor spot to enjoy a beer and dinner.“

“The food was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Mr. Mom’s Hamburger Extravaganza and fries, and I had the Grilled onion burger. We split a cup of clam chowder. Everything we had was soooo good. We were served by the owner’s daughter and she was delightful. The price was right too!!! Great down home style cooking with a warm, friendly atmosphere. “Last night, at the Vault of Scottsdale, I had a marvelous experience with Adobe Road Wines and the TRG team. They had the iconic #66 TRG GT car that won the 24 Hours of Daytona victory, and they provided a marvelous collection of wines to the guests. Kevin Buckler and Callum were nice enough to give me a VIP pass to the event. The crew member for The Racers Group race team - Al - was very friendly and informative about the race team. He allowed me to sit in the car behind the wheel and get photos with it. The Vault also had a nice sports-car collection, and it was the perfect setting for the wine-tasting. Al and Cullum were nice enough to give me a tiny ARW token, and autograph some photos of the TRG GT America race-car I saw race in the streets of Nashville a few years ago. The food was delicious - the sweets with fruit, the cheese and crackers, and the best mashed potatoes I've had by far. The food was high-quality and I got to make some great connections. I wish I could attend every event that they host, but I will definitely return the next time they come to Arizona, hopefully for multiple events. Everyone - if they come to your location - this is a 100% great experience for both wine tasters and motorsports fans. Thanks to Kevin, Cullum, and Al for the terrific hospitality and VIP entrance. I admire and respect what Kevin Buckler is building up with Adobe and The Racers Group. If you're ever out in San Francisco area - go to Petaluma and visit their headquarters in-person. The scale is not high enough for me to justify the experience. So, I have to give it 5 out of 5. If not for the 5/5 scale, it'd be a 100/100. :)“

“As a construction worker remodeling a restaurant just across the street (for 6 months!), I ate at China Town Restaurant at least 30x. I love this place! When you walk by you may not see anyone, but customers love to sit way back deep inside, as the artworks on the walls are impressive. The dishes are delicious and filling, both for taste and freshness. As a lifelong vegetarian, there are many options for me, but my favorite is Broccoli Tofu with rice noodles.

“I came threw town and stopped at Bianchini's. I got a Roasted turkey breast sandwich. It had this pesto mayo inside that was super good. The meat tasted fresh and the roll was fresh baked. The man that took my order was really nice and I thought overall that they had good customer service. Would go back if back in the area.“

Service was excellent! And the atmosphere was very fun. Will return and try a sandwich or burger next time.

“There is a quiet confidence to Pearl, the kind that comes from a kitchen that learned its grammar at Chez Panisse and then went off to write its own sentences. The Alice Waters lineage is unmistakable in the reverence for the ingredient, but the chef here is reaching somewhere more restless, running through North Africa, the Levant, and the Mediterranean without ever feeling like a tour.

What strikes you, dish after dish, is the legibility of a single authorial hand. Some kitchens cook anonymously; here every plate carries the same signature, an unmistakable point of view in the seasoning, the restraint, the way sweetness and acid are made to argue and resolve. You could cover the menu and still know who was at the pass.

We began with the roasted corn and gypsy pepper soup. It arrived deceptively simple, then revealed its hand: red lentils for body, charred cabbage for a whisper of smoke, sweetness and bitterness held in careful tension. A lesser kitchen would have let the corn turn cloying. This one knew exactly when to stop.

The French omelette was a small lesson in technique, folded with a patience that cannot be faked, custardy at the center, dressed in dukkah-roasted asparagus and sorrel with a serrano and mint oil cutting clean lines through the richness.

But the wood-roasted king salmon was the plate I am still thinking about. Served on a fig leaf, the fish was cooked to that elusive point where it flakes but stays silken, set over a white bean and pepper ragout that tasted of long, unhurried cooking. Haroset-stuffed squash brought an unexpected sweetness, and a turmeric yogurt tied it together with quiet acidity.

Pearl includes service in every price and allows no tipping, a small honesty that suits the food. This is sophisticated cooking with nothing to prove and everything to offer. In Petaluma, of all places, a genuine destination.“
