“We were driving down the road wondering “can Ty Caton really be at this residential address?” And it was, and it was awesome (the experience and the wines). Paul was such an amazing storyteller, taking us through the Ty Caton wines alongside the story of the property and the brand in the Sonoma Valley! It was such a beautiful and fun and giggly end of our day and the wines were so great we joined the wine club. Will be back to see Paul and the Ty Caton crew!“

“It was an absolutely lovely afternoon: food (bites) and wine pairing was spot on! Food complimented the wine, without overpowering it. Nice flavor subtleties.... creative, seasonal with a nod to agricultural stewardship (featured walnuts instead of almonds in a delicious white gazpacho.) Chef Oscar was approachable, friendly and very kind. Ditto with VJ, and well Jeffrey Mayo is a impeccable host. Wines were delicious, subtle and balanced, obviously created by well informed palettes. Went home with more than my share:-). Cannot wait to go back. Loved that the "reserve room;" was not stodgy, the garden area felt like we were sitting visiting with someone in their back yard.. Guess we were.“

“This review is long overdue. My wife and I live a few miles down the road and have been enjoying the exceptional wines and wonderful hospitality of St Anne's Crossing for a few years now. We have had so many great times there. The winery itself sits in the Valley of the Moon amongst lovely vineyards. Barbara and Jackie provide a personalized wine experience that make St Anne's a stand out from the larger, legacy wineries in the area. The wines? I tend to be traditionally a red fan and I thoroughly enjoy their menu. What truly surprised...and delighted me, was their rose. Not too dry not too sweet. Perfect! I can't recommend this place enough. Great for small or large parties. Thank you St Anne's!“

“We had a delicious dinner at the warm and friendly Golden Bear Station. Heidi is very welcoming, attentive, and does a particularly great job of wine pairings. We had a simple meal: Caesar Salad, which was cold, crisp and dressed with a perfect, creamy dressing, I followed with the Cacio y Pepe pasta and my partner had the Pork Chop. Each dish was fabulous! The Italian red wine was a perfect compliment. We will be back very soon!“

After 15 years in the wine industry, I’ve been to my share of tastings and presentations, and Bethany delivered the best wine presentation we’ve had to date. She made it fun, interesting, and memorable—and clearly knows how to tell the story behind the wines.

And apparently we couldn’t make a decision… because we left with a mixed case! 😂 Who could pick just one?

This tasting was primo. If you’re considering going, just go. You won’t regret it!

“Well done!!!! You saved the day! Every place we went was closed for lunch. Our mother turned 95, can you believe it.
You have a beautiful, miniature piazza that reminded her of our visit to Italy. A warm welcoming and very attentive staff. The food was perfect. I cannot recommend this establishment enough.“

“I think it is mandatory for a winery to have a lovely building and grounds. That said, the building here is very stylish and impressive. The wine is of course lovely and the customer service was excellent as well. Very much worth your time if you are wine tasting.“

“Ledson Vineyards – Great Wine and Cheese, Underwhelming Hospitality

Ledson was a bit of a mixed bag for us. The wine was good, especially the Three Brothers Sauvignon Blanc was very good, along with the Sonoma County Zinfandel and the cheese and charcuterie board was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful presentation, and a great pairing with the wine. Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match the experience we were hoping for.

We did a tasting at the hotel, where our bartender had a very couldn’t-be-bothered attitude. To be fair, they were extremely knowledgeable about the wines and clearly knew their stuff. However, they seemed considerably less interested in actually conducting the tasting. It felt more like we were interrupting their day than enjoying a wine experience.

The tasting at the vineyard itself wasn’t much better from a hospitality standpoint. The person leading it gave off a rather pretentious, “better-than-thou used car salesman” vibe. More focused on selling and impressing than connecting with guests and making the experience enjoyable.

For a winery with such a beautiful setting and reputation, I expected a warmer, more welcoming experience. Wine tasting should be about discovering great wines, sharing stories, and enjoying the atmosphere—not feeling like you’re being pitched a timeshare.

Bottom line: Good Sauvignon Blanc, an outstanding cheese board, and a beautiful property. Unfortunately, the hospitality could use a lot more personality. Great wine deserves an equally great experience.“

“We are on a road trip through CA and of course wanted to make a stop in Napa Valley and check out a vineyard. Though we stopped by the Napa Valley Welcome Center for recommendations they weren’t super helpful. I did use their QR code to find “kid friendly” vineyards. Some of these vineyards were not that kid friendly once we started looking into them and calling around. Tres Sabores however was VERY welcoming to us and our 9 year old. The vineyard was beautiful and so peaceful!! My husband and I enjoyed the tour with Dave and learned so much!! Julie the owner also came over and spoke with us for a bit! We tried 5 different wines and our daughter was provided organic juice boxes, bubbles and coloring supplies. We had snacks for the table that all of us enjoyed! After our tour and tastings we walked over to the barn area and played with the animals. Highly recommend Tres Sabores not only for families, but adults on their own too!! What a wonderful vineyard and great experience!!“

“Good food and good service. The outdoor seating however is the stupidest set up I've ever seen at a restaurant. The tables are so mini and short, that you drop food off your fork before it reaches your mouth, due to the reach down, and the chairs are terrible uncomfortable. They're are hard and small. I understand the chairs and tables are cute but, really need replaced with something more practical and more comfortable for customers. They even have plants on the patio that poke you while you're trying to eat.“

“The Experience: Our Crown Collection Experience at Louis M. Martini Winery was an absolute standout during our Napa Valley trip, featuring incredible world-class Cabernet Sauvignons and a breathtaking setting.

The Highlight: A true culinary highlight of the tasting was their St. Agur Panzanella pairing (featuring olive, panko, heirloom tomato, black garlic, and chimichurri). “Hall Wines was an experience beyond anything that I could have imagined. When we came to wine taste at Hall, our expectations were not set. I've been too many wineries in St Helena, but I've never been to Hall. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. The winery was stunningly, beautiful. Our server Alfredo Hernandez was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, inviting, and a superb host. I love talking about wanting and asking questions as I taste and both Alfredo and Tom were both a pleasure to engage with. We enjoyed absolutely everything in our experience. We enjoyed everything so much that I decided that after July of this year, I would like to switch my wine club over to Hall from another wine club that I have in Napa. Very much looking forward to our next visit!“

“My friends and I had an amazing time with Paul taking care of us, he was very knowledgeable and fun throughout the whole tasting -- and of course the wines were all lovely.
There were a couple of interesting rooms to peruse, showcasing soil from the different regions of Napa and Sonoma, interactive scents, and wine bottles going up to the ceiling.
Their outdoors garden was also a treat, with live animals and beautiful flowers.

“I love this place. The staff is fantastic, the beer is incredible, they have amazing food trucks on the regular. You go here, you can't miss. Parking can be tight at peak, consider coming by bike or transit!.

“We come to Napa Valley and St. Helena regularly to go to Clif Family Winery, where we have been longtime members. This time we decided to venture out a bit and visit Markham Vineyards. What a great find!! Zoey, our server was amazing, and we experienced one of the most enjoyable and memorable wine tastings we’ve had in many years. Markham wines are delicious and the atmosphere is beautiful. Zoey customized our wine tasting experience and poured many wines she thought we’d enjoy. She also informed us about the history of Markham and gave us a tour of the facility, beautiful and fascinating. Overall, our experience at Markham was wonderful. I would highly recommend Markham when in the Napa Valley. I would recommend reservations. Enjoy 🍷“

“My husband and I usually don't take the time to write reviews unless something is exceptional. This is a great little tasting room in the middle of Sonoma/Glen Ellen. If you like Pinots or want to learn more about Pinots - this is the place to go. It was a YES place - very friendly, very knowledgeable and you got the impression that they really wanted you to get to know their wines. Marta, one of the owners served and made it the most casual and fun experience. You could try any pinot as you explored the Pinots from different AVAs and were not just limited to a small specific few - if you were interested in trying they poured and educated you along the journey. Very relaxing and a wide range of pinots. I can't recommend this little Tasting Room enough!“

“Finding wineries in Napa that genuinely welcome bachelorette groups can be hit or miss—a few spots earlier in our trip definitely turned up their noses at us. Grgich Hills was the complete opposite! From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel so warmly welcomed. The beautiful table set up and settind. Ryan guided our tour and tasting and he was incredibly friendly, never pretentious, and genuinely excited to share his knowledge and wine history with our group. “I’ll admit this gently. I don’t quite have the palate for Mexican food. But my family does, and El Coyote Mexican Food is the place they keep coming back to again and again.

The cheerful turquoise track is in the same spot, easy to find, and there are almost always people around. That steady presence says a lot. A small line forms, orders move along, and no one seems disappointed walking away. I see people wearing working clothing, sometimes pajamas, some in office suits - all together enjoying nice meal at the table or happily carrying it to the cars. Says a lot, ha?

From what I see and hear at our family table, - the portions are generous, the food is very satisfying, and it delivers exactly what people expect. Nothing complicated, just consistent and dependable in a way that clearly works.

Even without a personal craving for this style of food, it’s easy to recognize when a place is doing something right. This one is.“
