Karen set up a beautiful presentation for our wine tasting experience. Bethany conducted a brief tour and conducted our tasting. Bethany did a great job on the tour and in conveying her knowledge of the wines we tasted. We visited 8 wineries during our trip and Muscardini ranked # 1 in every aspect. “We had an incredible experience at Golden Bear Station. The food was perfectly cooked — from the salmon to the ribeye — every dish was spot on. The tomato water was such a lovely, unexpected touch that really elevated the meal. “If you’re in the Santa Rosa area and looking for a great spot for a wine tasting, I highly recommend Ledson Winery in Kenwood. While the breathtaking mansion and meticulously manicured grounds set the stage, it’s the service that steals the show.

The Ledson team is amazing. They promptly greeted us and diligently assisted our group as we browsed and sipped our way through the shop. Armed with crackers and cheese purchased from the shop, we sat down in a private room with Brandon Garcia who patiently walked us through a variety of wines. Hearing the history behind the mansion and winery and learning about each of the wines we were sipping made for a very enjoyable and memorable experience.

“At my first visit I decided to become a member. The tasting room is very artsy, the grounds are small but nice to walk. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Additionally, you get free monthly access to other tasting rooms at couple of nearby wineries.

Wine taste is very subjective, so that's a bit more difficult to rate. What one person likes might be unpleasant to another. I've been at wineries where I don't like any of their wines, as well as one where I liked 9 out of 10 tastings. At Raymond, I like several of their reds, and all of their whites. Over all a very pleasant tasting experience worth repeating here and there.“

“Hall Wines was an experience beyond anything that I could have imagined. When we came to wine taste at Hall, our expectations were not set. I've been too many wineries in St Helena, but I've never been to Hall. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. The winery was stunningly, beautiful. Our server Alfredo Hernandez was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, inviting, and a superb host. I love talking about wanting and asking questions as I taste and both Alfredo and Tom were both a pleasure to engage with. We enjoyed absolutely everything in our experience. We enjoyed everything so much that I decided that after July of this year, I would like to switch my wine club over to Hall from another wine club that I have in Napa. “Friends and I got a variety of foods here, including the nachos (which they liked), the veggie burrito (they liked), the bacon hot dog (they LOVED), and I got an XL al pastor burrito, which I liked a lot, and which tasted a lot like al pastor to me. I guess I came on a good day.

Service was very friendly. There was a bit of seating, but not a whole lot since it's a food truck. The jalapeno was okay (maybe tasted a bit old), but the salsa was really good. For me, a guy who doesn't eat a TON, the XL burrito was more than enough to fill me up for the day, with extras to eat on the next day.

I hope I'm in the area again so I can come back. If I went to high school in the area I'd probably have come here way too often...
