13 Best Wineries in Kenwood

Mayo Family Winery Reserve Room Wineries • $$
9200 Sonoma Hwy, Kenwood

“It was an absolutely lovely afternoon: food (bites) and wine pairing was spot on! Food complimented the wine, without overpowering it. Nice flavor subtleties.... creative, seasonal with a nod to agricultural stewardship (featured walnuts instead of almonds in a delicious white gazpacho.) Chef Oscar was approachable, friendly and very kind. Ditto with VJ, and well Jeffrey Mayo is a impeccable host. Wines were delicious, subtle and balanced, obviously created by well informed palettes. Went home with more than my share:-). Cannot wait to go back. Loved that the "reserve room;" was not stodgy, the garden area felt like we were sitting visiting with someone in their back yard.. Guess we were.“

Ty Caton Vineyards Tasting Room Wineries •

“A very lovely surprise! Great selection of Sonoma wines, each with a flair all their own! A small volume winemaker and a simple tasting room. If you are looking for great wines, stop here!

Rod, our tasting guide, easily lead us through the selections available! His style made the experience even better!

I highly recommend Ty Caton wines for not only tasting but buying as well! We even joined the wine club!

A must stop in the Kenwood area!“

Amapola Creek Tasting Lounge Winery •
9380 Sonoma Hwy, Kenwood

“Great experience from start to finish! Really nice wines at a great value (especially the Rhone varietals), super cool and unique tasting room, welcoming atmosphere and great vibes. Daniel was a fantastic host and really responsive/flexible for planning the tasting for our group of 8. Highlights: choosing our own vinyl records to play during our tasting, the wines (duh!), and being able to eat lunch (and open a few bottles) on the front patio after our tasting.“

En Garde Winery Winery • $$$
9077 Sonoma Hwy Ste A, Kenwood

“After a full weekend of tasting 40+ wines during the WSET Level 2 course in Napa, my brother and I were looking for a low-key tasting experience to finish our trip. We got exactly what we wanted with En Garde. Our host, Neill, was great! We paid for the premium tasting, which allowed us to taste through all of the wines that interested us, and Neill was kind enough to explain the vineyards and soil types and everything going into the bottle. All of the Cabs were delicious, but my favorite wine was the 2022 Roma's Vineyard Pinot Noir. My brother purchased 3 bottles of various Cabs and I plan to go online and buy the Pinot and also the dessert wine later.

Overall, it was a great time, and I would definitely return in the future. I highly recommend En Garde Winery.“

St. Anne's Crossing Winery and Guest House Winery •
8450 Sonoma Hwy, Kenwood

“Wonderful wine tasting with Zack at St. Anne’s today. My wife and I have been travelling to California wine country annually for the past 20 years. Love the Zins and Chardonnays produced by the Wilson family of wineries. Zack was patient and knowledgeable about the product and brought some wines out not on the tasting list after listening to our preferences, wonderful sitting on the back deck in the beautiful California sunshine after escaping our Canadian winter, Bought a case of wine and got Zack a pizza from Mary’s pizza shack. He didn’t ask for the pizza, I just wanted him to know that my wife and I enjoyed the special experience. Highly recommend“

MacLaren Wine Winery •
211 Adobe Canyon Rd, Kenwood

“We didn't have an appointment as suggested, but, given the name, we were compelled to stop in anyway. Steve was very gracious and allowed us to enjoy a wonderful tasting. We thoroughly enjoyed the diversity of the lighter wines and even learned some history of the MacLaren clan. Appreciated the individual attention and enjoyed sharing our knowledge of regional wines. Thank you Steve and Heather for sharing your time and fine wines with us. Highly recommended!“

Kunde Family Winery Wineries • $$

“Here two years later and still 10/10 would recommend. Did the mountain top tasting today and it was a gorgeous day. I did the mountain top tasting about a year ago and there was something new about the experience this time which I appreciated. New this time was the dark chocolate pairing with the Moon Mountain, which was delicious.

Thank you Sally for your warm hospitality. Loved all the wines and the charcuterie board at the top of the mountain. Brought my friend who has never been here and she loved it. We both walked out with one of my favorites, the Magnolia Lane Sauvignon Blanc which is not on the tasting menu but Sally was so kind to give us a splash.“

Muscardini Cellars Winery • $$
9380 Sonoma Hwy, Kenwood

“Visited on 4-9-26 with my wife and two close friends for a private wine tasting. My wife and I have been wine club members since about 2013. Karen set up a beautiful presentation for our wine tasting experience. Bethany conducted a brief tour and conducted our tasting. All in our party were throughly impressed with the wine pairing we had. It was apparent much effort went into what was on our plates. Bethany did a great job on the tour and in conveying her knowledge of the wines we tasted. We visited 8 wineries during our trip and Muscardini ranked # 1 in every aspect. I highly recommend visiting Muscardini if you enjoy great wine and top notch customer service.“

“Well done!!!! You saved the day! Every place we went was closed for lunch. Our mother turned 95, can you believe it.
You have a beautiful, miniature piazza that reminded her of our visit to Italy. A warm welcoming and very attentive staff. The food was perfect. I cannot recommend this establishment enough.“

“I think it is mandatory for a winery to have a lovely building and grounds. That said, the building here is very stylish and impressive. The wine is of course lovely and the customer service was excellent as well. Very much worth your time if you are wine tasting.“

Ledson Winery & Vineyards Wineries • $$
7335 CA-12, Kenwood

“If you’re in the Santa Rosa area and looking for a great spot for a wine tasting, I highly recommend Ledson Winery in Kenwood. While the breathtaking mansion and meticulously manicured grounds set the stage, it’s the service that steals the show.

The Ledson team is amazing. They promptly greeted us and diligently assisted our group as we browsed and sipped our way through the shop. Armed with crackers and cheese purchased from the shop, we sat down in a private room with Brandon Garcia who patiently walked us through a variety of wines. Hearing the history behind the mansion and winery and learning about each of the wines we were sipping made for a very enjoyable and memorable experience.

Thank you Brandon and team for rolling out the red carpet for our group.

Sincerely,
The Coburns, and new Ledson Winery members 🍷“
