“This place is Top Tier Wine, the Best Wine Tasting Experience in Yountville but plan months ahead, because it’s so good that it gets booked well in advance“
“We started with an incredible lunch at The Kitchen then headed next door to Priest Ranch for their “Wine and Bacon Experience”—truly one of the best tastings we've ever had! This unique pairing takes wine tasting to a new level, featuring limited-production red wines perfectly matched with four different flavors of pork belly-style bacon (yes, even better than regular bacon!). Our flavors for August 2024 were: Mango & Mustard, Coffee & Maple, Guajillo Chili and Mediterranean Dry Rub. Each flavor was perfectly crafted to complement the wines, enhancing the tasting experience in such a memorable way. The service was outstanding, and the wine selections were spot on. If you’re looking for an unforgettable wine tasting, this is it. Book it—you won’t regret it!“
“My husband and I visited the Handwritten Tasting Room for the first time for a bread and butter experience. Amy was a most amazing hostess!! The knowledge she demonstrated was top notch and she made us feel very comfortable. The food was delicious and the wine spectacular! We joined the club and look forward to much more with Handwritten! Thank you!“
“Eric was the best. Super friendly. Super informative. Best experience we have had“
“We were so warmly welcomed, and winefully taken care of during our early April visit.
We did the ‘backstage’ experience, as a little surprise for my mastering engineer brother, and were blown away! The blend of wine + music + art is, indeed, pure poetry.“
“Cornerstone is one of my favorite wineries! We are club members and I love every one of their wines! Matt and Sean take fabulous care of anything we need whether it’s with shipping or adding different bottles to our order or sending gifts to friends. They make everything so easy! We don’t make it out to Napa as often as we like but sitting in the tasting room with Lisa, Matt, and Sean is always a highlight! Kari makes amazing wine and we always look forward to each new vintage!“
“We did an unusual experience of wine and potato chip pairings at Silver Trident. Yeah, sounds weird; yet, they paired the flavors perfectly from salty, sweet to spice. Rosemary was our host and we had a great time connecting and learning their history. They are a boutique family winery producing only 3,500 cases per year. Their tasting room feels like you are in someone’s home and everything is decorated in the Ralph Lauren collection and wonderful photography and artwork that is sure to bring back memories of your favorite actors or experiences. We purchased a bottle of Pinot Noir to take home and look forward to visiting them on our next visit. Oh - they do a wine and pizza pairing as well - they make it fun, informative and educational on their wines. Definitely go and tell Rosemary that Shelia and George say hello.“
“I found out about Goosecross from Reddit as a few others mentioned and we made a day trip out of it. Boy am I glad we did. This winery is tucked away in Yountville so you may just blink and miss it but you'd be doing youself a diservice.
The property itself is just the right size for an intimate experience while also having room to yourself. Service was awesome as we got the explanations of each wine but our host took time to just sit down and chat with us as well.
The wines are delicious. The Sauv Blanc, Pinot and C. Elizabeth were our favorites and we ended up grabbing a bottle of each because we enjoyed them so much. They also were a hit when we opened them with friends.
We also were there right after the harvest, or maybe during, so we had a chance to see them throw grapes into the extractor which was a nice touch.
Highly Recommend!“
“Highly recommend this hidden gem. Brandon was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions with respect and friendliness. All of the wines are amazing and the ability to try so many single vineyard vintages in one place is such a treat!“
“My family and I attended our first tasting this weekend. It was wonderful! We were assisted by Paul who was brilliant at describing the different wines and suggesting the ones that would meet our preferences. He was very welcoming and made us feel welcome and appreciated. My wife and daughter are new to wine culture and he was really patient and took his time explaining the wines and the tasting process. We will definitely return! It wonderful to know there are still places, like Hestan, you can visit and afterward know that you’re all the better for the experience.“
“We enjoyed the tour of the winery and wine making process, being able to see inside the cave. Our guide was friendly and greeted us with a nice Rose. We loved this property, their focus on quality, and how detailed oriented they are. Very fun“
“Easily one of the best wine experiences of my life. I have been wine tasting in Europe and USA before, this is an intimate and unique experience. The vertical tasting is fantastic and if you have the opportunity to do it, it is a no brainer.“
“Staff is amazing ! Although the property is under construction it is still comfy & beautiful. Ambiance is relaxing , good music“
“If you want to try a taste of comfort food coupled by recipes created by THE Thomas Keller I suggest you stop in here. We had the pleasure of dining here on a night they were serving the acclaimed chefs buttermilk fried chicken. A recommendation given to us by Cam over at Finesse. Cam Im sorry if i did not spell your name correctly. His recommendation did NOT disappoint. He was also extremely kind and knowledgeable about Chef Kellers restaurants. The drinks are amazing and the salad we started with had a dressing I could drink on its own haha. I had to invest in the Ad Hoc cookbook after this dining experience so I can try to recreate this amazing fried chicken at home. Really would love to return soon and try everything they offer here.“

“Just did a visit to Caymus today. We did their standard tasting with Zack. He was great to talk with and very knowledgeable of Caymus and the area. Wine was great, as expected. Buying wine also comps the tasting, great benefit. No tour, but a very relaxing garden experience.“
