“My husband and I did a wine blending class here and it was one of the coolest and best experiences I've ever had! Jackson was our guide on the tour and teacher during our class and he did absolutely phenomenal! He taught us how to taste wine and what to look for, answered all of our questions, and even let us taste a couple grapes which was SO amazing! We also met Bennett who told us all about how he blends his wine, we also met Tristan who helped us with the class and answered a lot of our questions as well! The wine was absolutely amazing! I dont usually like reds but every red i tried here was delicious! All of the staff we had the pleasure of meeting was so friendly and made us feel comfortable and right at home. I HIGHLY recommend going to Bennett Lane if you never have or going again if you have already, I know my husband and I will be going again!“

“Here's a fun fact: Frank Family makes an amazing sparkling wine. The Blanc de Blanc sparkling is this house's secret sauce that is winery visit exclusive. Highly recommended. We sat at the bar and squeezed in a tasting between tastings and we were glad we did. The gentleman behind the bar was very engaging and helpful. Glad we could get in this beutiful property. “Thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to Ladera. It was one of the most personal tastings we’ve had. We have enjoyed Ladera wines for several years. The Cabernets and Pinot Noirs are our favorites, however we enjoy them all. When I’m in the mood for a white- Ladera Sauv blanc is a go to bottle. Dan introduced us to their Chenin blanc at our recent tasting. (We also left with 2 bottles.) If you’re not familiar with Ladera, give their wines a taste, you will not be disappointed. Easy to order online.“
“On my trip to to Napa …this was my FAVORITE winery! They put so much care, quality, and time into the wine they produce. I definitely will be joining one of their wine clubs. “Erin was such an incredible host!!! We had the place to ourselves on a Sunday morning and she really took her time with us, explaining the wines, chatting and getting to know us, and getting to know our tastes so she could help us have the best experience! I’m not the biggest fan of red wines so she even gave me an extra taste of a different type she thought I may like more (and she was right!). I would absolutely come back here and would recommend to anyone looking for a personal and thoughtful experience. Gorgeous scenery and peaceful energy. Thank you Erin!“

“Wow this was such an amazing vineyard! We did the hilltop experience and upgraded our tasting to the Library Tasting and the Cab Sav tasting. Was fun to do something different and share both experiences. The gondola's were fun! Very clean and easy to use and a great addition to see Napa Valley. The team were all lovely, very friendly and welcoming and helpful. But I would add that they gave us the right amount of space to spend time chatting about the wines on our own. Loved the gift shop - great additions to the wine purchases. Highly recommend this as a stop whilst in Napa Valley!“
“We had a very nice tasting yesterday at Knights Bridge in Calistoga. Chrystal was very knowledgeable about the winery and wines in general. The tasting room has a quiet elegance with the very high bank ceilings. You won't be disappointed here!“

“We recently visited Calistoga for a wine tasting getaway. We stumbled upon August Briggs Winery while walking around and explore the downtown strip, and WHAT A FIND! Matt was so much fun to talk to and explained the intricacies of sourcing for various wines and considerations for selecting grapes for his wines. Not only did we learn a ton, but the wines were FABULOUS! We brought several bottles home and my partner has a list of new questions to ask next time we visit!

“Jericho Canyon was one of the highlights of my Napa trip. What sets this winery apart is how intimate and personal the experience feels from start to finish.
The ATV tour was fantastic and offered a unique way to explore the property while learning about the vineyard and its history. The scenery was beautiful, and getting out into the vines made the visit feel much more immersive than a typical seated tasting.
I also loved the private nature of the experience. It never felt rushed or crowded, and there was plenty of time to ask questions, enjoy the wines, and take in the surroundings. The hospitality was warm and genuine, making it feel more like being welcomed onto someone’s estate than visiting a commercial tasting room.
If you’re looking for a more exclusive and memorable Napa experience beyond the larger wineries, Jericho Canyon is absolutely worth a visit.“

We stayed here to celebrate my birthday with family and friends, and it ended up being one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had in Northern California wine country. From the moment you arrive, Claudia and Keith welcome you like family. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality set the tone for the entire stay.
This is what Calistoga and Knights Valley are meant to feel like, authentic, grounded, and deeply connected to the land & Napa’s rich history. The property itself is stunning: a working ranch with expansive views, thoughtfully designed accommodations, and a sense of space and calm that’s hard to find. It’s a rare blend of refined luxury and real ranch character.
What truly sets Ross Ranch apart is the experience. Meeting the animals, hearing the story behind the land, and spending time with Claudia and Keith adds a personal layer that you simply don’t get at most places. Their wine is exceptional, thoughtful, expressive, and easily among the best we’ve tasted in Napa Valley & beyond.
Everything was seamless, from communication to accommodations to the tasting experience. It felt curated without ever feeling forced.

“Went on a Monday afternoon to meet a friend while visiting the area. The outdoor seating is gorgeous with plenty of space, and we basically had the entire area to ourselves. The server for the wine tasting experience was great! He was very informative about all the different wines we had the pleasure of trying, and even gave us a bonus taste of a more aged wine. The price was average for a wine tasting experience, so overall it was a great time. Would definitely go again given the chance!“
“We did a tasting with Barbie and we couldn't have had more fun! She was funny, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate about the wines. We were able to try plenty of wines and loved each one of them. We bought four bottles to take with us. By the end, it seemed we were all old friends! Wish we could have tried the sold out O.G. and La Verdad, but I suppose we will just have to go back next year. Would rate 6 stars if I could. “Tucked away in wine country, Spire Collection is truly a hidden gem in Calistoga. It was recommended to me by a friend, and I’m so grateful we had the opportunity to visit the property. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had discovered something special.
The experience was incredibly intimate nothing rushed, nothing crowded just a relaxed and personalized tasting that allowed us to fully take in the beauty around us. The views overlooking the stunning Calistoga mountains are absolutely breathtaking. Sitting there with a glass of wine, surrounded by rolling hills and peaceful scenery, made the entire visit feel elevated and unforgettable.
What makes Spire Collection even more unique is the variety of wines they offer. There’s something for every palate, and each pour felt thoughtfully curated. The wines were distinct, expressive, and beautifully crafted, showcasing a range that you don’t always find in one place. It felt less like a standard tasting and more like a carefully guided journey through different styles and regions.
One of the most memorable touches was being able to choose your own vinyl during the tasting. That detail added such a personal and cozy vibe to the experience, making it feel even more special and one of a kind.
Our wine educator was absolutely amazing knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate. He made the tasting both educational and fun, answering questions and sharing stories that brought each wine to life.
Overall, Spire Collection offers a rare, intimate experience with breathtaking views and exceptional wines. I would definitely recommend it and can’t wait to return for another unforgettable visit.“
“I was curious about Checkerboard Vineyards so my wife and I made an appointment to visit and tour the winery. Long story short, it was the highlight of our visit to the Napa Valley. Gary, our guide, walked us through the cave and gave us an overview of the property. He also provided a truly fantastic tasting experience with knowledgeable insights and great descriptions of the wines from each of the vineyards on the property. We really appreciated the singular attention during our visit along with great conversation. I highly recommend this winery tour and their wines!“
“Visited the winery back on June 14, 2018 for a tasting. Beautiful winery and caves. Friendly service. Reasonable tasting fee. Large selection of delicious wines including a white Malbec. Did not meet the owner but he had an interesting history and background. The statues in the cave along with music and stain glass windows was a perfect way to end the tour. Purchased some wine for my collection. Received today and it was well packaged. I would go back again in the future. Great photo opportunity in the caves to remember your visit.“
“First of all, we went to Kenefick Ranch Winery because their wines are awesome! Once at the tasting room, we were not disappointed. It was great tasting more of a breadth of their wines in the tasting room. We first fell in love with their Cabernet, but loved all their wines, including their rose and merlot. The staff in the tasting room was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun!“
“My wife and I visited Newton Napa Valley February 18, 2023. It was a private tasting hosted by a very knowledgeable, respectful and kind young man named Edgar Macias. Our entire experience, from greeting to our wine tasting with a splendid charcuterie, to our departure, was magnificent. My wife enjoyed the 2016 Mt. Veeder Cab and my favorite was the 2016 Spring Mountain Cab. We have been to Napa before but this experience at Newton was the best by far, for both of us. We learned so much from Edgar about the grape growing process, the vineyards and the climate for this batch of wine year 2016. I wanted to thank Mr. Macias for help making this tasting a memorable one. His hospitality is superior and we wish him the best! Newton makes a superb Chardonnay as well. If you are reading this review, I strongly recommend this vineyard/winery.“

“This place was AMAZING! While visiting Napa Valley did the whole wine tasting experience, and was not disappointed. This was some of the tastiest wine I've ever had. Especially the pinot noir. Our server for wine tasting was exceptional. Moreover, the grounds are spectacular. There is a full chapel and tasting room and castle that make you feel like you are really in Tuscany. The grounds have animals including goats and emus. The beauty of this place is breathtaking. I will be dreaming about it.“
