“My wife and I visited for lunch on a weekday. It was a peaceful, relaxing time to dine, as the restaurant was not too crowded. While many guests were enjoying the beautiful weather on the patio, we opted for the bright, comfortable indoor seating.

​Shrimp Cocktail: Very well prepared and delicious.
​Caesar Salad with Fried Chicken: A unique twist that is highly recommended.
​Black Cod Rice Bowl: Excellent flavor; my wife thoroughly enjoyed it.
​Service:
The staff were incredibly polite and attentive throughout our meal.

A fantastic Michelin-rated spot. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Calistoga!”

The property itself is incredibly cute, with a cozy indoor tasting space that feels intimate and relaxed, as well as a beautiful outdoor area that’s perfect for enjoying a glass of wine on a sunny afternoon. “Made a reservation here for lunch while visiting Calistoga. We didn’t stay at this property but it was great to check out! Located at the Solage resort by the pool, you can’t sit by the pool (only for resort guests). We started with a round of tequila shots and ordered some drinks, I think I got the green flash. We got items to share for a party of 5. Elote, hearts of romaine salad, ceviches, squid/calamari. So fresh and so good. We did a. Variety of tacos— quesabirria, crispy avocado, and fish tacos. We devoured our meal it was so fresh and delicious! For dessert we got the churros and chocolate, flan, tres leches French toast, and Mangonada. Really good, service was good. Our server was super kind and friendly. It’s also such a relaxing and beautiful area while enjoying lunch by the pool on a nice and hot day. There’s hotel parking and not too far from the Calistoga festivities.”

“Napa Valley’s new hidden gem is Robert’s Tropical Table located in a converted breezeway/parking lot adjacent to the Mount View Hotel right here in Calistoga. Robert has been known for a decade as one of the handful of magical mixologists in our Valley having a long bar run at Sol Bar (until they closed for remodel and Covid) and then Brasswood before launching his rendition of a Jamaican Beach Cafe. His Ocho Rios roots come alive with a delicious selection of jerk chicken, pork belly, and wings with an escovitch fish perhaps better than mine. And never to be missed are the festival dumplings and a perfect Dark and Stormy. Open DAILY when the music is playing and gates are ajar (3pm to 10pm).”

“The wine is amazing and different from rest of Napa. Cave was impressive but our tour guide Suzanne was okay, felt like she was rushing to be done. I asked her how does the wine flavor change with aging process, she said the flavor evolves over time just like any wine.”

The staff were very friendly and offered us samples, including a delicious matcha flavor that has the right amount of sweetness. I highly recommend getting the strawberry and pistachio flavors together with their homemade waffle cone. A must when visiting Calistoga!🍦”

Not to mention, the wines themselves are incredible. To top it all off, it’s a lovely property right in the middle of some BEAUTIFUL views of the valley. “We recently visited Calistoga for a wine tasting getaway. We stumbled upon August Briggs Winery while walking around and explore the downtown strip, and WHAT A FIND! Matt was so much fun to talk to and explained the intricacies of sourcing for various wines and considerations for selecting grapes for his wines. Not only did we learn a ton, but the wines were FABULOUS! We brought several bottles home and my partner has a list of new questions to ask next time we visit!

“I was curious about Checkerboard Vineyards so my wife and I made an appointment to visit and tour the winery. Long story short, it was the highlight of our visit to the Napa Valley. Gary, our guide, walked us through the cave and gave us an overview of the property. He also provided a truly fantastic tasting experience with knowledgeable insights and great descriptions of the wines from each of the vineyards on the property. We really appreciated the singular attention during our visit along with great conversation. I highly recommend this winery tour and their wines!”

“My wife and I visited Newton Napa Valley February 18, 2023. It was a private tasting hosted by a very knowledgeable, respectful and kind young man named Edgar Macias. Our entire experience, from greeting to our wine tasting with a splendid charcuterie, to our departure, was magnificent. My wife enjoyed the 2016 Mt. Veeder Cab and my favorite was the 2016 Spring Mountain Cab. We have been to Napa before but this experience at Newton was the best by far, for both of us. We learned so much from Edgar about the grape growing process, the vineyards and the climate for this batch of wine year 2016. I wanted to thank Mr. Macias for help making this tasting a memorable one. His hospitality is superior and we wish him the best! Newton makes a superb Chardonnay as well. If you are reading this review, I strongly recommend this vineyard/winery.”

“When we come to Calistoga, we always stop here. The food is good, the atmosphere is great. We love that they have live music. When we were there, there was an excellent jazz guitarist.

I had a smoked salmon sandwich with salad and my husband had a burger and fries.

“I definitely recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. The food was so delicious and everyone was so friendly and kind it was such a joyous experience. I ordered the basil chicken and it's some of the best basil chicken I have ever had. I like it really spicy and it was definitely on point. Do yourself a favor and enjoy the food here as I did.”

We shared arancini balls for an appetizer, a fantastic Napa salad with candied walnuts, apples and blue cheese, and then a Thai chicken pizza. We would get each one of these items a second time! It is our understanding they reopened with a new menu in March 2025. We were here in June and the menu is great. Definitely would recommend Palisades Eatery.”

“Wow this was such an amazing vineyard! We did the hilltop experience and upgraded our tasting to the Library Tasting and the Cab Sav tasting. Was fun to do something different and share both experiences. The gondola's were fun! Very clean and easy to use and a great addition to see Napa Valley. The team were all lovely, very friendly and welcoming and helpful. But I would add that they gave us the right amount of space to spend time chatting about the wines on our own. Loved the gift shop - great additions to the wine purchases. Highly recommend this as a stop whilst in Napa Valley!”

“Truss and Believe 😍 • We are staying at the BEAUTIFUL Four Seasons Napa Valley and caught lunch at their restaurant Truss. Highly recommend everything we have tried over the past week but I’ll narrow down some for this post 🤭. From the views overlooking the TWO pools to the villas scattered amongst actual grape vines, everything was perfection. For bites, we got the Salmon, Truffle Fries, Tuna Crudo & Mezzi Rigatoni. Chefs kiss on everything ordered 🤌🏻 But we can’t forget about the cocktails, riiiight?! We chose Pick Me Up (tweak espressotini), Fennel Wears Prada, Smokey the Pear and Spring is Here. All superb and full of flavor 😋 • If you ever get a chance to come to Napa Valley and stay at the Four Seasons Calistoga, don’t skip out on Truss. Truss and Believe me, you won’t regret any choice here 😍”

“Locals visiting out of curiosity. Food was very good. Poolside location was really nice even on a 95 degree day. Lots of shade. The only downside were the yellow jackets. We have them at our home at this time of year as well. The traps were hanging very close to the tables. One was right above our head. Hanging the yellow jacket traps away from the food/guest area might be a better solution. Other than that everything was great. We will recommend and return.”

“Calistoga Inn Restaurant & Brewery has always been a local favorite, and as locals ourselves, it’s a spot we visit a couple of times a month. They’ve been around for years, and the food has consistently been good, reliable, comforting, and exactly what you’d expect from a staple in town. But recently, we’ve noticed a big change, and it’s been such a pleasant surprise.

I’m not sure if it’s new management or just a refreshed approach, but the cocktails and the menu have truly leveled up. It was good before, but now? The food is absolutely delicious! bold flavors, great presentation, and dishes that feel thoughtfully crafted. You can tell there’s been extra care put into every detail.

The cocktails are A1. Creative, balanced, and consistently well made. We mostly sit at the bar, and the bartenders Edgar and Alexis always greet us with so much warmth and genuine hospitality. They’re attentive, welcoming, and make you feel like more than just a customer. That kind of service keeps people coming back.

On special occasions, we’ll sit indoors or outdoors at a dinner table, and the service is still just as great. Whether you’re at the bar, inside the dining room, or enjoying the patio, the experience remains consistent and inviting.

Calistoga Inn continues to evolve while still holding onto its local charm. It’s one of those places that feels like home, but now with an elevated twist. We’ll always recommend it truly one of the locals’ favorites, and now better than ever.”

“Delicious Chinese food! I had the crispy ginger chicken. I loved that it was not super breaded but you can actually taste the chicken. We ordered pork potstickers, fried rice and Szechuan pork and it was all fabulous. Service was prompt and servers were very kind. Great place!”

“This place was AMAZING! While visiting Napa Valley did the whole wine tasting experience, and was not disappointed. This was some of the tastiest wine I've ever had. Especially the pinot noir. Our server for wine tasting was exceptional. Moreover, the grounds are spectacular. There is a full chapel and tasting room and castle that make you feel like you are really in Tuscany. The grounds have animals including goats and emus. The beauty of this place is breathtaking. I will be dreaming about it.”
