“My husband and I did a wine blending class here and it was one of the coolest and best experiences I've ever had! Jackson was our guide on the tour and teacher during our class and he did absolutely phenomenal! He taught us how to taste wine and what to look for, answered all of our questions, and even let us taste a couple grapes which was SO amazing! We also met Bennett who told us all about how he blends his wine, we also met Tristan who helped us with the class and answered a lot of our questions as well! The wine was absolutely amazing! I dont usually like reds but every red i tried here was delicious! All of the staff we had the pleasure of meeting was so friendly and made us feel comfortable and right at home. I HIGHLY recommend going to Bennett Lane if you never have or going again if you have already, I know my husband and I will be going again!”

“The head-tilt experience at Picobar in Calistoga was nothing short of extraordinary. Chef Gustavo Rios and his team outdid themselves. From the imaginative, fresh, and utterly delicious tacos, to thoughtful extras like a greeting cocktail, delightful amuse-bouche plates, and desserts, every detail was perfection. The use of fresh ingredients, like squid, tuna, salmon roe, duck confit, pork rib, beef ribeye, and lobster, was inspired. Truly, this is a level of culinary artistry deserving of at least one Michelin star. Thank you chef Rios, Ruby, Pao, Marco, Lilly, and the rest of the staff. I apologize if I didn't get your name or misspelled it. You were still an integral part of an amazing night! I look forward to doing this again.”

“Awesome ice cream place, a life saver in Napa heat during summer. The ice-cream felt natural, homemade with no artificial flavours. We tried pistachio (amazing taste & texture), rose, cardamom & saffron (heavenly, a nearby cousin of Indian malai kulfi) and cookie chocolate (kids loved it) ice-creams. The servers were patient and polite. One can also taste the ice-cream before ordering one.”

“Napa Valley’s new hidden gem is Robert’s Tropical Table located in a converted breezeway/parking lot adjacent to the Mount View Hotel right here in Calistoga. Robert has been known for a decade as one of the handful of magical mixologists in our Valley having a long bar run at Sol Bar (until they closed for remodel and Covid) and then Brasswood before launching his rendition of a Jamaican Beach Cafe. His Ocho Rios roots come alive with a delicious selection of jerk chicken, pork belly, and wings with an escovitch fish perhaps better than mine. And never to be missed are the festival dumplings and a perfect Dark and Stormy. Open DAILY when the music is playing and gates are ajar (3pm to 10pm).”

“Truss and Believe 😍 • We are staying at the BEAUTIFUL Four Seasons Napa Valley and caught lunch at their restaurant Truss. Highly recommend everything we have tried over the past week but I’ll narrow down some for this post 🤭. From the views overlooking the TWO pools to the villas scattered amongst actual grape vines, everything was perfection. For bites, we got the Salmon, Truffle Fries, Tuna Crudo & Mezzi Rigatoni. Chefs kiss on everything ordered 🤌🏻 But we can’t forget about the cocktails, riiiight?! We chose Pick Me Up (tweak espressotini), Fennel Wears Prada, Smokey the Pear and Spring is Here. All superb and full of flavor 😋 • If you ever get a chance to come to Napa Valley and stay at the Four Seasons Calistoga, don’t skip out on Truss. Truss and Believe me, you won’t regret any choice here 😍”

“We recently visited Calistoga for a wine tasting getaway. We stumbled upon August Briggs Winery while walking around and explore the downtown strip, and WHAT A FIND! Matt was so much fun to talk to and explained the intricacies of sourcing for various wines and considerations for selecting grapes for his wines. Not only did we learn a ton, but the wines were FABULOUS! We brought several bottles home and my partner has a list of new questions to ask next time we visit!

“Jericho Canyon was one of the highlights of my Napa trip. What sets this winery apart is how intimate and personal the experience feels from start to finish.

The ATV tour was fantastic and offered a unique way to explore the property while learning about the vineyard and its history. The scenery was beautiful, and getting out into the vines made the visit feel much more immersive than a typical seated tasting.

I also loved the private nature of the experience. It never felt rushed or crowded, and there was plenty of time to ask questions, enjoy the wines, and take in the surroundings. The hospitality was warm and genuine, making it feel more like being welcomed onto someone’s estate than visiting a commercial tasting room.

If you’re looking for a more exclusive and memorable Napa experience beyond the larger wineries, Jericho Canyon is absolutely worth a visit.”

“I was curious about Checkerboard Vineyards so my wife and I made an appointment to visit and tour the winery. Long story short, it was the highlight of our visit to the Napa Valley. Gary, our guide, walked us through the cave and gave us an overview of the property. He also provided a truly fantastic tasting experience with knowledgeable insights and great descriptions of the wines from each of the vineyards on the property. We really appreciated the singular attention during our visit along with great conversation. I highly recommend this winery tour and their wines!”

“When we come to Calistoga, we always stop here. The food is good, the atmosphere is great. We love that they have live music. When we were there, there was an excellent jazz guitarist.

I had a smoked salmon sandwich with salad and my husband had a burger and fries.

The beer selection is wide, and we're always able to find something we like.”

“I love coming to Indian Springs. It’s really one of my favorite places. It’s relaxing, beautiful and well kept property. The rooms are lovely and the beds so comfortable! Unfortunately, they require a 2 night minimum. Even during the week. That’s a bummer but really if I could stay a week I would!”

“As a local in Calistoga for over a decade, I have thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant on multiple occasions. There’s never been a wait time and the staff is always friendly and courteous. Having lived in Seattle for many years, Thai restaurants are a dime a dozen, and I was introduced to Drunken Noodles. I highly recommend that dish as well as their mango dessert is spectacular!”

“We had a wonderful dinner there. Great menu, good wine selection, wonderful service. We shared arancini balls for an appetizer, a fantastic Napa salad with candied walnuts, apples and blue cheese, and then a Thai chicken pizza. We would get each one of these items a second time! It is our understanding they reopened with a new menu in March 2025. We were here in June and the menu is great. Definitely would recommend Palisades Eatery.”

“My wife and I visited Newton Napa Valley February 18, 2023. It was a private tasting hosted by a very knowledgeable, respectful and kind young man named Edgar Macias. Our entire experience, from greeting to our wine tasting with a splendid charcuterie, to our departure, was magnificent. My wife enjoyed the 2016 Mt. Veeder Cab and my favorite was the 2016 Spring Mountain Cab. We have been to Napa before but this experience at Newton was the best by far, for both of us. We learned so much from Edgar about the grape growing process, the vineyards and the climate for this batch of wine year 2016. I wanted to thank Mr. Macias for help making this tasting a memorable one. His hospitality is superior and we wish him the best! Newton makes a superb Chardonnay as well. If you are reading this review, I strongly recommend this vineyard/winery.”

“Wow this was such an amazing vineyard! We did the hilltop experience and upgraded our tasting to the Library Tasting and the Cab Sav tasting. Was fun to do something different and share both experiences. The gondola's were fun! Very clean and easy to use and a great addition to see Napa Valley. The team were all lovely, very friendly and welcoming and helpful. But I would add that they gave us the right amount of space to spend time chatting about the wines on our own. Loved the gift shop - great additions to the wine purchases. Highly recommend this as a stop whilst in Napa Valley!”

“Locals visiting out of curiosity. Food was very good. Poolside location was really nice even on a 95 degree day. Lots of shade. The only downside were the yellow jackets. We have them at our home at this time of year as well. The traps were hanging very close to the tables. One was right above our head. Hanging the yellow jacket traps away from the food/guest area might be a better solution. Other than that everything was great. We will recommend and return.”

“This place was a total gem! From the moment I arrived, the ambiance at Dr. Wilkinson’s was so cute and serene - it had that classic California desert resort vibe. I went solo and ordered the enchiladas with smoky red salsa and a slice of mixed berry pie. Everything was cooked to perfection. The pie was honestly the best I’ve ever had! Such a lovely spot and a great experience overall.”

“This place was AMAZING! While visiting Napa Valley did the whole wine tasting experience, and was not disappointed. This was some of the tastiest wine I've ever had. Especially the pinot noir. Our server for wine tasting was exceptional. Moreover, the grounds are spectacular. There is a full chapel and tasting room and castle that make you feel like you are really in Tuscany. The grounds have animals including goats and emus. The beauty of this place is breathtaking. I will be dreaming about it.”
