My friend and I are both locals and we decided to check out Solbar yesterday and we were both in awe. The decor is beautiful, the food is AMAZING, and the staff were so hospitable. “Awesome ice cream place, a life saver in Napa heat during summer. The ice-cream felt natural, homemade with no artificial flavours. We tried pistachio (amazing taste & texture), rose, cardamom & saffron (heavenly, a nearby cousin of Indian malai kulfi) and cookie chocolate (kids loved it) ice-creams. The servers were patient and polite. One can also taste the ice-cream before ordering one.“

“We had a wonderful dinner there. Great menu, good wine selection, wonderful service. We shared arancini balls for an appetizer, a fantastic Napa salad with candied walnuts, apples and blue cheese, and then a Thai chicken pizza. We would get each one of these items a second time! It is our understanding they reopened with a new menu in March 2025. We were here in June and the menu is great. Definitely would recommend Palisades Eatery.“

“As a local in Calistoga for over a decade, I have thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant on multiple occasions. There’s never been a wait time and the staff is always friendly and courteous. Having lived in Seattle for many years, Thai restaurants are a dime a dozen, and I was introduced to Drunken Noodles. I highly recommend that dish as well as their mango dessert is spectacular!“

“The timing was great for us! When we got there the power went out. But the service was excellent! They apologize for the rolling blackout, and still serve us! It seems like we were the only customers in Calistoga that had a decent meal. Everyone else was turned away because of the outage. The food was great! And the service was top-notch!“

I went solo and ordered the enchiladas with smoky red salsa and a slice of mixed berry pie. Everything was cooked to perfection. The pie was honestly the best I’ve ever had! Such a lovely spot and a great experience overall.“
