This was a beautiful experience! The house made pasta and steak were absolutely delicious and the service is amazing as well! So kind and attentive! It honestly feels like your at home just without the tv and Netflix lol super cozy! 20/10 would definitely come here again!
We were looking for a nice restaurant for date night on our last night in Calistoga. Evangeline fit the bill! We order the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. It was massive-6 huge shrimp with a couple of delicious sauces! We ordered the fried chicken and gumbo yaya...both were amazing. But the friend chicken is absolutely epic! Seriously, if you like fried chicken, order it. You will NOT be sorry! Wonderful service too. We're already looking forward to coming back!

The fried chicken was amazing. However, the rest of the food was mediocre at best. The shrimp etoufee lacked the depth that a good roux gives to it, and the rice wasn't fully cooked. It wasn't just toothsome, it had a crunch in the middle. The slaw lacked flavor and hadn't been left long enough to get more than shredded cabbage.
