“Wonderful place. We tried all the specials. Bean soup (delicious). Pot roast (so tender). Beignets (straight from New Orleans).I really appreciated the portions, and that they were willing to split the entrées between me and my partner without any hassle. The wine list is also above reproach. Great variety of Sonoma county and external wines. Looking at you Bonny Doon from Aptos. When we come back to Glen Ellen, this will be on the list to visit again.“

“Such a cool, moody Saloon, we arrived early evening, it was dark in the beautiful hamlet of Glen Ellen. We managed to grab the front window table with a couple of leather club chairs, a great place to get a view of the bar and it patrons. And we arrived just in time because the crowds were just forming. We ponied up to the bar got our drinks then decided to have some good pub grub. So we got back in line at the bar and ordered a cheese burger and some other sandwich my friend ordered, it's in the photo. They also have daily specials and that night was a prime rib offering. A little too much meat for me and if I recall it had a $40 price tag. Within a few minutes a server came out set up our small table and dropped off our grub. I was pretty hungry by that time, the burger was great and the fries too. The prices are fair and the portions are generous. Since we were in the main part of the bar it was getting really loud, but it's kinda expected in that atmosphere. They do have a quieter area just through the open doorway. They also have a big outdoor patio but it was too cold to sit out there that evening. They may have heat lamps but I didn't pay attention. I've been to Glen Ellen so many times and there is always new restaurants, and shops opening and closing there, but this place has been a staple in the small town of Glen Ellen for ages and I'm embarrassed to say it's the first time I've set foot inside. But I'd do it again. It has a great authentic vibe.“

“Always the best food, service, and hospitality in Sonoma. A couple of recent additions to the menu were out of this world...a trout tartare, and a seared tuna that had the most wonderful light sauce that had a tad bit of heat. Wine list is locally focused and continues to be one of the best in wine country. I've never had an experience here that wasn't outstanding.“
“Outstanding restaurant in Sonoma! Chef Cristina Topham makes REALLY good food. Even better, it’s really good Lebanese food - delicious bowls, dips, wraps and plates packed full of Mediterranean flavors using locally grown ingredients in a sea of … often redundant wine country food. Location is easy to find, parking is easy, super cute outside patio (with heaters), a great wine list and friendly staff! Food is great dine-in or take out!“

“Absolutely delicious! We made Mustards our mid-day stop for lunch between wine tastings and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We had the rabbit, meatloaf, and pork chop which we couldn't find any faults with. Our reservation was at 12:15 and it was very busy up until we left and there was still a wait. Make a reservation if possible!“

“I love this spot, each time I go it is consistently delicious. It is evident that a lot of intention and care goes into the menu, quality, and service. A+ in my book, and I rarely am down to pay $15+ for a sando. Some may find that pricey but THESE ARE GOURMET STATUS AND VERY MUCH WORTH IT.Pictured top to bottom: Bahn Mi (inspired) and the Point Reyes.Tbh this is my second review because I just appreciate this spot and want to see it succeed and stay open. Also the owner is very kind and courteous and deserves it.If I get a membership at the gym it is located within, it will be in part due to The Local :)“

“The food is really great - highly recommend the ribs! Even though they're beef ribs and not pork, they fall off the bone with a delicious sauce. The cheese and charcuterie area bit skimpy for 4 ppl. Be prepared as the food selection is a little light - they only serve what they grow. So for example the burger was great but didn't come with tomatoes.Plenty of parking.“

“Chicken schnitzel was solid 4, the sauce it came with did not really resonate with me. I tried the pea soup, not a winner for me, I was ok with cold, probably better heated, stringy herbs were a turn off. Mostly it was a texture/taste issue for me.Others at table said their burgers were outstanding, along with onion rings. The hummus sample we were given was very good. We all said we would come back.“

“Wow! This is the best ice cream spot in Sonoma! I had the butter prickle- their most popular flavor. It was delicious! They have a nice sitting area right outside where you can enjoy your ice cream as you catch the sunset or enjoy the day. There’s also accessibility for wheelchairs! I was blown away by the quality of the ice cream. I will be back!Wheelchair accessibility: It is available!“

“Always a favorite local spot. The risotto never disappoints ; creamy cheesy velvety richness with a nice piece of halibut; Need a side of something green and crispy to cut that richness; mussels are a must and get extra bread; staff are like your besties; welcoming warm home town feel and great food; wish they would open on weekends !“

“The BEST sandwiches in town. I, personally, think they are a much better quality than when it was Mr. Pickles. Much friendlier staff and owner. I rate this 10 stars. Love the vegetarian sando on Dutch crunch with Swiss and Baja sauce. Chicken salad sando excellent too. All good! Fresh“

“Two words: Fancy. Toast. Girlies, hear me out, we love having our little treats that are fantastic flavor and a balance between sweet/savory. The fancy toast is all of that. They come bite sized, and you can get four for $29. The leek fritters and steak fries were a great appetizer and especially delicious during happy hour. I definitely would come back here again on gorgeous weather days. The seating/furniture is inviting for groups who want a casual hangout.“

“I’ve been coming here ever since I was a child. Nothing has changed. There aren’t many sandwich spots that can compare. This is the S tier sandwich shop. The atmosphere is amazing filled with unique items all over the wall. Right in the center of St. Helena. Even if you don’t want a sandwich you can always grab a snack.“

“Super delicious food!! We were recommended this place while doing a wine tasting in town and we’re so glad we made it over. The fried halloumi had an amazing sauce, the Swedish meatballs were incredibly tender and flavorful, and the falafel wrap (not pictured - ate too fast!) was the best my husband had ever had. Can’t wait to return and try more of their menu!“

“My daughter took me for Mothers Day brunch.....cute place inside. They brought water to the table right away and took our drink orders. There was ample staff to accommodate such a busy day, I had the steak and eggs and found the steak a little bit chewy. Everything else was wonderful. We will definitely be back.“

“Grabbed lunch during my tour of Napa and Sonoma and was craving some pasta! I went right at opening time and the place started filling up quickly.Their service was really friendly and helpful! The pasta was great and coffee was normal. Many reviews highlighted their pizzas but unfortunately I was a solo diner and doubt I’ll be able to finish an entire pie! Will definitely return if I’m in the area again!“

“Had lunch there today with 3 of my friends. We are all locals. It was such a lovely experience! Food was delicious…. I’m a vegetarian and had no problem choosing my dish…. There are also Vegan dishes available. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service was excellent. I must mention the French Fries…. There are several restaurants in Sonoma that serve delicious fries but these are the best. I’m looking forward to many more enjoyable meals there!“

“We arrived at the shop an hour prior to closing to celebrate our daughter's birthday who recently turned 21. We met Ori who was jovial and very hospitable. It was our 1st time here so he explained to us that after the wine tasting he will find the right bottle of wine for each of us. Ori started off with asking if we were looking for red, white, or both. Then the next question was if we like dry or fruity wine. We wanted both so he started us off with a bottle of dry white and asked us if we liked it then based on your answer he will let you taste different type of wine from small locally grown winery until he found the right bottle for each of the taster. We went thru the same process with red wines. Even though Ori does not drink wine, but he is very knowledgeable enjoys his job, very lively, fun, patience so it made our wine tasting experience very memorable . If you have never drank wine or does not know what you want to drink, I highly recommend visiting Ori and go thru the process. It will save you tons of money trying to figure out what kind of wine fits your taste. My wife and daughters walked out if their half drunk due to the amount of wine Ori offered to us. Very highly recommend you visit this shop“

“I have been living the valley for over six years and this by far one of the best spots in town. The flavors are rich and tasteful. The consistency of this place never changes. My favorite dish is the tiki masala, however everything on the menu is delicious.“

“We visited Goose & Gander on a Sunday night so it wasn't all that busy. Our server, RJ, was very attentive and described the specials. We ordered the tempura fried fava beans he recommended for an appetizer and they were delicious! The cocktails were excellent—some of the best! I had a play on a Margarita which was with spicy pepper and ginger. My husband had a Manhattan. We split the G&G burger and ordered a duck egg on top. (The other option, which is bone marrow on the burger, is also delicious.). For dessert we had bread pudding with a Guinness caramel sauce and Jameson ice cream. All was spectacular!“

“Great Mexican food and reasonable prices. Friendly service, in a casual and festive ambience. I usually get the $13.75 Super Burrito with al pastor...covered in sauce, the grilled pork is so tender, flavorful, and juicy! And its huge! More recently I splurged for the $18 Surf and Turf burrito...loaded with grilled steak and shrimps, fantastic!“

“On the way back to Santa Rosa, we stumbled on this spot for take-away dinner and were super pleased with the food. I don’t think they normally do to-go orders, but they were super nice about taking our order. The teriyaki skewers were SO GOOD and immediately gave me high hopes for the pastas which were also delicious. You can taste the quality of the food immediately. We ate those pastas so fast, because they were yummy. Highly recommend the food here!“

“Well.. I actually came to this place by accident.. We were hungry and I thought I was going to the Japanese ramen place.. Then after I sat down and read the menu I was like... Dang it.. Oh well.. Well I am glad we stayed. Nice cozy place and friendly staff. Again reminded me like back when I was in Okinawa. Ordered tekka Maki roll and takoyaki for starters. Tekka Maki was very yummy. Some of the better quality tuna then I usually get back home.. Takoyaki came after main dish was served.. But it was also yummy. Full of flavor and nice pipin hot. Ordered the karaage chicken bento (no more spicy noooo), salmon tobiko Don, and king mong bowl. Oooh the smell of karaage brought flash back Okinawa again. It was yummy also.. Nice light crispy and juicy and tender chicken. Waitress was nice enough and made her own spicy Dippin sauce just for me. Salmon tobiko bowl was also very yummy. Seared salmon was very tasty. The king kong bowl was also yummy. Nothing special.. But shrimp and soft shell crab in the bowl was good amount. More pricier than other dish but it was yummy. Ended up ordering 2 more order of tekka Maki Over all the service was awesome, food was excellent. I would give this place 4 and half star.. Too bad app don't let me give that extra half point. I would definitely come back here again.“

“Food was so delicious!! We had their special Western Fried Chicken Sandwich. Flavor was on point and chicken was juicy and didn't have to much breading. Also got a coffee shake the flavor was great but I was hoping for more of a thick shake. Staff was super friendly and we got our food fairly quickly since they were very busy. We are so glad we finally stopped by but sad it was their last day opened. Prices are reasonable for the price of food these days.“

“Great food but the location of and line for the bathroom gives me anxiety, mainly for the staff. It was a charming place in a charming area in general. There was an incredibly loud table next to us that I would’ve loved to be told to quiet down but I know that’s not necessarily something a restaurant can do.I really enjoyed the bread (despite not liking olives) and butter, pasta, and branzino. The chicken had a good crispy chicken but was a bit dry in the center as chicken breast tends to be. Didn’t love the carrots because they were pickled but that’s personal preference. The olive oil cake was delicious and I liked the crisp edges. Would’ve liked more strawberries than rhubarb.“
