“Wonderful place. We tried all the specials. Bean soup (delicious). Pot roast (so tender). Beignets (straight from New Orleans).I really appreciated the portions, and that they were willing to split the entrées between me and my partner without any hassle. The wine list is also above reproach. Great variety of Sonoma county and external wines. Looking at you Bonny Doon from Aptos. When we come back to Glen Ellen, this will be on the list to visit again.”
“Delicious vegan and gluten free options! Great service! We went with several people with dietary restrictions and they made it easy to have delicious food prepared to our needs. Definitely returning!”
“Wedding cake of my dreams! Absolutely loved working with Flour & Bloom for my wedding! From the cake tasting to finalizing the floral treatment, Ora Beth and the team are collaborative, creative and wonderful human beings. I got married in Sonoma in May 2023, with a wedding party size of 40 guests. We got the three tiered cake which was the perfect amount, plus some left over :) We selected the lemon olive oil and guava passion fruit. Truly the most incredible cake I've ever tasted. Not only was the cake gorgeous, but my guests kept raving about how it was the best cake they'd ever had. Would 100% recommend Flour & Bloom for your wedding or any event!”
“The best service! They were very sweet and kind people working. I had the Ruben with sweet potato fries. The meat was juicy, tender, slightly tangy, on mild buttered rye bread. The best I've had in a long time.”
“Stopped by here last month for a wine tasting with my girlfriend. We did the reserve tasting and it was a great experience. We arrived a little early but we were able to be promptly seated. The winery itself is quite small - which lends itself well to being chill and more intimate. The reserve tasting gave us a chance to try 4 of the award winning wines that have been made here - everything was excellent. This place specializes in red wines and you can really tell they've nailed it down to an art. I was especially a fan of the 2020 Syrah-Zinfandel. Service wise, our host was great. They did a great job answering our questions and checking in with us to see how we were doing. Would definitely recommend stopping by here - my girlfriend and I were only here for a bit , but I'd definitely make my way back out here (and stick around a little longer) the next time I find myself in Sonoma. 5/5”
“The pastries, coffee and other baked goods are so memorable. I don't know how someone could just get one thing! The staff had electric personalities and very quick, which got people moving. There was about five people ahead of me but I was served in less than five minutes it felt like. I got an oatmeal latte with plenty of pastries. This is a must go to bakery! There's an outside and indoor seating area. Plenty of room for friends, family, and your pets!”
“What a great experience!! Casual friendly atmosphere. Delicious wines. Generous pours for sampling and a great value and atmosphere. Would love to go back when live music is playing! Highly recommend❤️”
“Best kept secret of Sonoma!!! Such a cute wine and food pairing at this place, couldn’t recommend it enough! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and warm! You can tell this is a small run family place, we got to meet every person on the staff. and very affordable for what we got. We had such a lovely time, 10/10 recommend.”
“We enjoyed our visit, the wines were good and the lady who served us was very friendly and informative. On the other hand, a small downside made us like the experience a little less: the tension created by what seemed to be the manager on the employees. She seemed to spend her time arguing with her employees in front of customers and putting pressure on them, which we found very unpleasant because from our point of view the service was excellent. As an employer, I do not believe that this is a good practice for both customers and employees. Otherwise the place was charming.”
“If there is one tour in Napa Valley to take.....THIS IS IT!Family friendlyGreat tour guide (been there since the 80s)Great wine (most give me a head ache)Awesome gift shopEpic Biodynamic farming....probably why I didn5get a head ache.”
“We enjoyed a wonderful private tasting with Sandee as part of my daughter's bachelorette celebration in Sonoma. She provided us a great education on B.R. Cohn and introduced us to several delicious wines. As a wine club member, I knew it would be our party's favorite stop of the day! We hope to come back soon.”
“Delicious! Fresh! Humble! Tastiest meal I could've hoped for looking for Indian cuisine right around the corner from Sonoma. Servings look small but they are huge! Could've stuffed a family of 3 with one chicken dish and one rice dish. The naan is cooked to order... need I say more?”
“Only had drinks here, so can't comment on the food, but it did look good! This place has a nice homey feel to it. The bartenders were very nice and the prices were less than expected based on location.”
“Stoped here with friends for dinner. None of us have ever been here so we went in with open minds and ready to be fed some good food!! So many choices to dine. Inside the restaurant, outside tables or cute yurts that seem to seat about 4 comfortably. Inside is beautiful and rustic. Very comfortable not pretentious. We were given menus but really didn't understand the process until our food server explained that side dishes are served family style in Le Cruset casserole dishes, you just need to pick a couple of proteins to go with them. Our choices: a full loaf of sourdough, fresh picked veggies and their own dip, braised leeks that are meant to be served cold, a whole deboned chicken and a filet of sturgeon. Everything was beyond incredible!! So much flavor!! Everything was extremely fresh. We kept making yum noises and saying OMG after tasting each dish. We couldn't have been happier. All our dishes seemed to compliment each other so well. Our food server was SO KNOWLEDGEABLE...she knew just the right wine to suggest with it and we took her suggestion. She really went ABOVE and BEYOND her job. No I can see whay she was training someone...she really knows the fine art of turning someone's dinner into an experience!! I wish I would have taken pictures but we were too busy eating. 5 stars Charter Oak! You exceeded in all aspects!”
“Saul, thank you and your staff for always providing wonderful service and meals, always such a yummy treat! Wonderful friendly service, amazing menu selections and nightly specials too!MMMMMMmmmmmmm....Cheers Chief n Maurine”
“Being Brazilian of Portuguese descent and a good cook, my expectations were managed. I didn't check reviews or saw photos but took a look at their menu outside and had to try their Portuguese dishes. The cod fritters bolinhos de bacalhau were authentic and delicious. It's hard to make them and find descent salted cod. The wine flights, white port wine, desserts and the whole dining experience were fantastic. These days most restaurants are very expensive with mediocre or just ok food. La Salette made me believe in great food again. The flavors kept building up and surprised us. We're coming back soon.”
“So our family has a friendly competition to locate the best fish tacos anywhere. And I am a chili relleno snob so we stopped here on my daughter-in-law's suggestion and unfortunately she wins or maybe fortunately? The fish tacos were better than anything I've ever had and the chili Anna was above average so I can strongly recommend this place for the food. We had to wait about 10 minutes at the register even though they were open at 11:00 which bothers me a little bit because if you're going to open the front door you should be ready to go. But other than that the food came out promptly and was beyond amazing”
“This is becoming my go to place with family and friends. The food is always above and beyond expectations, amazing flavors, always a topic of conversation and there is always sharing/stealing bites.Beautiful setting and wonderful service.”
“My family and I have eaten at Farmstead many, many times, and the service, food, drinks and ambience is always great and a wonderful experience. The food and wine selections perfectly complement the flavors for an elevated dining experience. The portions are generous, especially the Heritage St. Louis Ribs and the California Arborio Rice - definitely shareable plates. The desserts are always on point. My favorite is the Scharffen Berger Chocolate Cream Pie - house made with a thick graham cracker crust and whipped cream. If you are looking for a true farm to table experience, showcasing fresh and flavorful ingredients from their garden, ranch and vineyards, Farmstead delivers. Price: $$$ Food: ***** Service: ***** Cuisine: American Farmhouse I highly recommend Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch!”
“The seven different meals with seven wine pairings were AMAZING!Each wine enhanced the flavor of the dishes perfectly, making both the foods and the wines incredibly enjoyable. The Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon were our favorites. It was a highly satisfying time with my parents. Ann welcomed and guided us was exceptionally passionate, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Chef John also skillfully introduced the delicious dishes, allowing us to thoroughly enjoy the lunch. I love to recommend this place to all my family and friends!”
“I love this spot, each time I go it is consistently delicious. It is evident that a lot of intention and care goes into the menu, quality, and service. A+ in my book, and I rarely am down to pay $15+ for a sando. Some may find that pricey but THESE ARE GOURMET STATUS AND VERY MUCH WORTH IT.Pictured top to bottom: Bahn Mi (inspired) and the Point Reyes.Tbh this is my second review because I just appreciate this spot and want to see it succeed and stay open. Also the owner is very kind and courteous and deserves it.If I get a membership at the gym it is located within, it will be in part due to The Local :)”
“The food was great. The cornbread was actually better than my cornbread surprisingly and I make a really great cornbread. The service was good. The ambience was nice. I definitely will be back and bringing more friends.”
“I went to El Dorado for my birthday dinner with my friends We did wine tasting at WALT only 1 min walking distance from El Dorado and we really liked this course. Wine tasting and dinner at nice restaurant was such a good choice! Inside of the restaurant is very spacious and cozy. Only one thing, the grilled salmon which we ordered along with risotto didn't come out at the first time, the our server realized and brought to our table later. Except that, the food was very tasty and we really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. I'm the person who especially love the Sonoma vibe and the restaurant definitely made me feel I'm in the nice and cozy town.”
“Nice to sit in the beautiful gardens and sip a glass of their cabs (or whatever suits your fancy). There are also beautiful sculpture and landscape design. Elegance service and setting.”
“This is one of our go to spots for pizza! We've always had a good experience here, with good service. There's a bar seating, tables and booths. We mainly come here because of the good, maybe best vegan pizza options in Sonoma County, they have a whole section Vegetarian and Vegan section on menu. They also offer gluten free crust. And have a good selection of beers, including one NA beer. The biggest size pizza they offer is 12" that's my only complaint, wish they offered bigger sizes to share more and have leftovers, because it's good! We recently ordered the Down to Earth pizza with their regular crust and it was really good! And I always make a dash over to Whole Foods next door for some vegan ranch! They have pizza slices. This place is good good and definitely recommend and we will continue to come here!”
“My husband and I have been here a few times now.. My husband is a huge fan of roasted pork in a Mayan style sauce with homemade blue corn tortillas. I had the home made mole enchiladas. Yum! The food is authentic and the experience is quaint. It’s our new “go to” restaurant for consistent delicious meals served in a family atmosphere.”
“Auberge du Soliel never disappoints. It is pricey, but defiunitely worth it for special occasions. The view out over the Napa Valley is special. The service is top-notch. Everyone works together to provide a fantastic dining experience. The food is always great, and never boring. Everyone who can afford it should make the trip and have a great experience.”
“Will definitely come back! I chose just closest place on google maps and it was Bistro 201. Perfect service, very friendly and caring staff. I tried Chicha Morada - reminded me about Spanish Sangria - super tasty and refreshing. And for the meal i had Pollada with chicken and potatoes. Yummy! Whenever I'll be in Petaluma I'll stop to eat there again!”
“Pomme has an exceptional selection of California and other US ciders, plus several from France, Spain, Italy and other countries. The staff was very knowledgeable describing the characteristics of each of the ciders, and were also helpful with making selections. This is a great place to learn about and sample this much under appreciated beverage.”
“We arrived in Glen Ellen after a long car ride. I chose to crash at the hotel, but my husband wasn't going to miss a chance to eat at Glen Ellen Star. A week later I am still hearing about the other-worldly bananas foster he had for dessert! :-) We love this place so much that when we plan a weekend getaway we stay in Glen Ellen and drive over the hills to visit Napa and St. Helena just to be near our favorite restaurant, the Glen Ellen Star.”
