“The Za'atar fries are my new comfort food! Today I discovered the lamb kofta and cucumber-yogurt salad; both are wonderful.”
“The best winery in California! I would like to thank Don for making the visit spectacular he went out the way to greet us and he was so friendly. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to taste wine and check out the founder and history of wine in the US it’s very intresting.”
“Absolutely phenomenal! An odyssey of wine & cheese pairings, and a great and very approachable introduction to the intricate world of wine. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Lloyd was the perfect guide!”
“Another winery recommended we visit this winery in Sonoma because of it's story, culture, and quality. Six of us did and it did not dissappoint. Jimmy did a wonderful job of sharing the family history, as well as the history of the winery. He also recommended great wines for us to sample and consider for purchase. I'm glad we availed ourselves to learning about how our Mexican brothers worked the fields, learned the business and became and expert, purchased land, started his on winery, and served two U.S. Presidents (Obama and Bush) and the California Gov (Swarzenegger). Oh, the wine is GREAT!”

“Had such a great experience here. Kyle was our server. He told us so much and taught us a ton! The wine was great and the service was great as well. Will definitely be back”
“Down to earth setting, casual and relaxing allowing for a great place to sit, enjoy wine and have a conversation. The Merlot is by far my favorite. As it has plenty of character, and an amazing finish.”

“Best tacos in Sonoma county! My personal favorite is ordering chicken tacos with al pastor salsa, but you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. They are doing everything right in their kitchen. I recommend checking their instagram to see where they’ll be at for the week. And don’t forget the potatoes and onions!”
“We felt in love with this place. Food was delicious and service even better!!! Veronica is amazing!!!”
“Pleasantly delighted by this sushi spot. Fresh fish and great ambience inside, don’t be put off by the strip mall surroundings. The sashimi was very fresh and sushi rolls generous.”

“Nice portuguese restaurant with some very good traditional Portuguese dishes like bacalhau and porco d althejeno. Wish any of the waiter spoke some portuguese but no big deal. Only issues was that their pricing on portuguese wines is very high given the prices you actually pay for those. But overall a place to eat while in sonoma.”

“I live nearby and while I primarily enjoy my tea at home, I occasionally stop by Smästad for a coffee, tea and/or pastry.
Delicious seasonal beverages and the pastries are fresh every morning, made onsite.
Grateful I can bring my own mug for my drinks. The shop also has great swag for sale if you're a fan of Swedish design, folklore and style.
Always makes me happy to see folks enjoying the outside tables, meeting with friends or family or working on a warmer day. (There is also a nice small area inside of seating)
A great addition to the neighborhood!
Dietary restrictions: They have at least one GF (not celiac friendly) pastry, but often sell out, so get there early.
Kid-friendliness: Across from a school...very kid friendly.
Wheelchair accessibility: Totally accessible”
“Very cool place in an old motorcycle garage. The coffee shop in refurbished trailer. The barista is the reason for 5-stars. She knew her stuff and was able to specifically make a drink to order. Made great suggestions. The breakfast burritos good too. Coffee tasty. Good outside sitting. Fence made of doors. Vintage working Evel Knievel pinball machine.
Parking: You can also park in the huge Safeway grocery lot directly adjacent to the coffee shop lot.
Kid-friendliness: Lots of room for kids to go. Although the drive through is right in the middle of the place.”
“I own the dance studio next door and as a business owner trying to make healthy choices and keep my energy up before and after classes, Cielito has amazing smoothies, juices and açaí bowls !! Best part is when I feel like having something special I can indulge in a churro sundae too!! 😍THE BEST! Just wish the hours were open earlier before 11am for all of our students, clients and employees plus all the parents in the neighborhood before and after drop off in the mornings at the nearby schools!! 🙏🏽All in all very grateful thank you! PS MY GO - TO drink is The Thuderstorm Smoothie “Lauren D Style”: Substitute espresso instead of coffee and add a handful of cacao nibs on top! BOOM!”
“Congratulations to this boutique winery! Their reds are smooth, pleasant and maturing. The story of passion and legacy will keep their production going for many years! Looking forward to returning.!”

“Very good food and service at reasonable prices. They sell Kivelstadt and other wines to take home at reasonable prices. They are kid friendly. It is better to reserve in advance because the parking was full when we went. When we left at 2 p.m. on a Friday, a guitar player started to play.”
“We had an amazing tasting experience with Andrew. He was able to accommodate a large group at short notice. The wines themselves were delicious - we took several bottles home. The merlot and pinot noir
were our favorites. Andrew’s commentary about the wines and his experiences in the industry kept us informed and entertained. The view from the top of the hill was gorgeous.”
“As 40 year residents of Sonoma, we have long enjoyed dining out at an array of fine restaurants. Last night, we experienced the most unique Sonoma dining experience ever. Chef Brian's array of creative delights were amazing, while the service was impeccable. This restaurant's tasting menu and wine pairing experience compares favorably to Single Thread and Cyrus. It will, no doubt, become one of the best restaurants in the entire Bay Area.”
“I have enjoyed the menu at sweet pea bakery for several years now. When I was going through some medical issues, my daughter from out of town kindly bought me a gift certificate to sweet pea and send it to me via email unfortunately, sweet pea staff was not able to figure out how to use a digital gift certificate And I was unable to use it. I was disappointed that I couldn’t use it, but more disappointed that they did not offer me money back on the gift certificate.”
“We loved all our food and our server Seth made our night! He was funny, attentive, and excellent at matching the energy. He cared about our allergies and made an already great experience better! Our table had four different dishes, three deserts and an appetizer and we loved it all.”
“Must stop location! Kent and Lucy both helped make our time there very enjoyable.
Lucy greeted us as soon as we walked into the property, making us feel at home while Kent, our wine educator, prepared to show us around the property.
Kent is a phenomenal story teller and just a genuinely kind human being. Hearing the history of the property through his words was a great time.
After our tour, Lucy was very hospitable and helped us get set up with a cheese board (highly recommend) and a bottle of our favorite wine from the tour.
Both of these wonderful people made our time out at the winery very enjoyable and something we will look back fondly on.”
“Great food, great service and unbeatable prices. Every item on the menu is a five star. Good selection of wines and cocktails.”
“Fantastic tasting experience serving completely unique wines from Old California vineyards. We were lucky to be hosted by the terrific sommelier Aistė Ballou. Bedrock is a must for anyone visiting Sonoma, CA.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Really awesome lunch spot! I got the Napa turkey panini and a protein shake. The sandwich was really good, the bread had a nice crunch to it, buy not too hard to bite into. The side salad it came with really made it a full meal for lunch. Can't wait to try more stuff on the menu!”
“What a great place for lunch! Behind the storefront is a lovely patio for outdoor dining, so don't let the storefront fool you.
We tried truffle onion rings....they did not disappoint. The pizza selections make it hard to pick just one.
The house wine was ok.....not the best I have had in Sonoma.
The service is very friendly.
I recommend this!”
“A must eat in Sonoma! The smaller storefront hides a nice patio in the back garden. The staff there are unbelievably kind and attentive. Our pastries and breakfast meals were wonderful! My husband ordered the breakfast burrito which was very substantial and I ordered the avocado toast which was super fresh! Will definitely be back again when visiting Sonoma!”
“The food here was DELICIOUS! The chorizo con huevo and the carnitas plate was what me and my boyfriend ordered!! The chorizo had a unique taste with a good little kick to it! The carnitas were perfectly cooked and had a perfect texture to it! Nice and soft on the inside and a good crunch on the outside and the salsas!! QUE RICO!!”
“Very happy 😀with order. Charles the barista 👍 very accommodating to my order, noticed he called some customers by name and knew their drink!! Tried the Thanksgiving blend - drip, it was great! So glad they don't charge for Alt milk now. I come more often! Great vibe. Good music. Nice seating. 😎😀”

“Every time I go to Santa Rosa I pass by the El Gitano Taco Truck, and every time I pass them by, I tell myself...Next time I'm stopping!
Well, today I stopped and got 4 plain tacos de cabeza without any condiments so I could taste the meat for itself. They were Amazing!
5 stars all day long ☆☆☆☆☆”
“Had to kill some time before a winery tour. We ordered two drinks oat milk latte with a hint of vanilla syrup, and a caramel macchiato both hot and delicious. Nice chill environment. Busy with people, but quick and friendly service. Great space to hang out and sip on your morning coffe.”
“We were very happy with the service provided by Los 3 Hermanos at our recent company event for 150 people. The food was great, and orders were filled swiftly.Erika and her crew were very organized and friendly. We definitely hope to use Los 3 Hermanos for future events.”
“Sonoma Grille is the perfect place for a birthday lunch or meal anytime!! The food was delicious and the service over the top. The bartender Steve, was our server and he balanced the bar and our lunch service perfectly. They have a lovely patio but we chose to sit inside due to the wind that day. It can sometimes get noisy but we had the perfect celebration.”
“Intimate and cozy atmosphere with a great energy- the Bar felt like the spot to be. Our group were wowed by the Old Fashioned, the Manhattan and the modern spin on a margarita. The food was fresh and flavorful, especially recommend the ceviche, the Brussels sprouts and shishito peppers, the smash burger and fish tacos. A gem of a spot!”
“The guy with the glasses and longer hair is so nice smiling and just overall nice if you ask him for anything on the menu, when you haft to ask for sauce he always puts many extras in there.
(I don’t usually leave reviews but feels necessary since he’s so awesome!!!)”

Cheap Eats
“The burritos are top-notch. Not the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for as when I grabbed the bag from the lady at the food truck I couldn't believe how he at they were. Two burritos ended up feeding two people for two meals in the end. Definitely go for the cheese option.”
“When I moved from San Francisco to Sonoma one of the first things I missed immediately was the variety of cuisines a city like SF has to offer.
Pot stickers and egg rolls are among my favorites for Chinese food.
And I am so pleased to recently discover and to know that there is a local restaurant that makes pot stickers and egg rolls just right.
It’s been from my experience that when the egg roll is crispy and fresh and the pot stickers are flavorful and not greasy, then that’s a sign that it’s a place to go for more food.
I will definitely be back for more. Thanks Happy Garden! Happy Garden does take out and you can call ahead of time.”
“I was going here every day with my husband, both of us getting a large every day for about 2 months after discovering this new gem... and probably still would be except that we both realized that we were putting on the pounds. ? Everything in moderation I guess, but we love these boba drinks! My husband's favorite is the brown sugar milk one, and I don't really have a favorite, but I recommend the blended dragon elixir, the tropical blended, the strawberry dream, the peaches 'n' cream, or the strawberry matcha! You really can't go wrong because you can control the sweetness of the drink, you can control how filling it is due to the types and amount of boba that you get...”
“A watering hole for the locals, it's a charming place with a jukebox to select your music. Dan, the bartender, is a nice guy who can provide a helpful ear if you wanna unburden yourself. Dan also makes a mean blood mary, which is described as the best in town on the directory board. I agree with that ad, twas a bloody good bloody mary ! You get a shrimp with it !!!!It's a small place with about 3-4 booths and easy to miss when walking in Sonoma downtown. We found it only coz it was 9:30pm and this was one of the few places open. FYI, its open till late night. Preferably, walk to this place. The locals are friendly and provide good stories you can sit and provide half an ear to when watching basketball or ice hockey. If you are interested, you can even watch star trek TNG.No food is available here though except for packaged chips. But deftly a lovely place to end your day at.A for sure return visit for me next time I'm in sonoma downtown.
Parking: Parking is on the street around the town square which can fill up pretty quickly. And its only a 2-3 hour parking.”
“They make their own tacos from the masa. Most places pull em outta the plastic bag. They do my breakfast burrito exactly how I ask and throw in some roasted Serranos for me. Guy at the front gets a lotta grief in these reviews, but he’s always very nice to me, he’s just not all fake Chick-Filet-my-pleasure nonsense. Just a chill dude. Salsa is super tasty but also super hawt — be careful! I am a Tourguide and send all my customers here because it’s real deal. Especially people visiting from Europe who have never had a breakfast burrito.”
“Absolutely one of the best wineries in Sonoma🍷 If you like Cabernet this is the place! Just off the Sonoma square, ask for Mark, he makes you feel like old friends!!!”
“One dish is more delicious than the next. Best bolognese, seafood, pomodoro cappellini- all of it so so yum!”
“What a great place, Lidiania (I think) a very nice Italian lady made sure we were getting the wine 🍷 we wanted. She made it such a great visit, for the GREAT wine we had.”
“Had the best time at Tin Barn when visiting from Portland! Danielle gave us a tour and was such a great host all throughout our tasting. We will definitely be back ❤️”
“We loved all our food and our server Seth made our night! He was funny, attentive, and excellent at matching the energy. He cared about our allergies and made an already great experience better! Our table had four different dishes, three deserts and an appetizer and we loved it all.”

“Had lunch there today with 3 of my friends. We are all locals. It was such a lovely experience! Food was delicious…. I’m a vegetarian and had no problem choosing my dish…. There are also Vegan dishes available. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service was excellent. I must mention the French Fries…. There are several restaurants in Sonoma that serve delicious fries but these are the best. I’m looking forward to many more enjoyable meals there!”

“Wow! Yum! This was a wonderful and pleasant surprise. We stopped in after Happy Hour, which I am sure would be amazing! We ordered two craft cocktails - a Whiskey Sour and a Watermelon Margarita which had some heat to it. Our server Marco recommended it. It was the best! You were definitely right Marco! We also had ordered the nachos. These aren’t your ordinary nachos! These nachos have birria and every topping you can imagine! Very clean, high end type of Mexican food- not heavy and greasy! So happy! I only wished I was more hungry so I could order other dishes. This restaurant has other dishes to accommodate those in your party who may not like Mexican food (I know! How could that be?) So don’t worry! There is something for everyone! We met the owner Kina who was busy expediting the orders to the various servers. She did take the time to speak with us. We were highly impressed with Kina and the way the restaurant and staff was operating. The only bad thing we could say is, we are so sorry we don’t live in Sonoma as we would be able to enjoy this restaurant all the time. We will definitely be coming back before we return to our home in Ojai. As it is, we are up in Sonoma a couple of times a year and plan to make Kina’s Kitchen & Bar a regular stop for us!”
“Review I am on a flight returning to Nashville and already longing to return to Sonoma. Not for the wine, weather and topography, although all of these made for a lovely trip with my husband. No, I want to return for one reason only - so that I can experience Animo one more time. The unusual combination of flavors and ingredients, expertly cooked and beautifully presented were nothing short of remarkable. I’ve never had a meal like it and suspect I’ll never have another without returning. This husband and wife team cook and serve with all the spirit and commitment required to create this kind of wonder. We started with the lobster, shared the ribeye and ended with the cheesecake. Each dish was not as expected. All were perfection. If you only have one night in Sonoma, this is where you should go.”

“Fabulous, delicious food from the appetizers to the desert. A huge shout-out for the excellent service. In this day & age even classy, expensive restaurants often offer mediocre service. The waitstaff at the Depot Hotel was highly efficient, observant, attentive, and courteous. It was a delight!”
“Pet Friendly 🐾🐶 all around outside
The best part of this winery are the prívate Outlooks, they have 3 and have the best sight of the Valley ⛰️ (Max. 6 persons)
The wine is really great and you can go all around the place to get to know the facilites.
They have a really nice open area with Adirondack chairs where you can enjoy the calmness of the place with a glass of wine 😎
We had a great time!!!”

“The food at the restaurant was absolutely amazing! We loved every single bite. I believe this may have been some of the best French cooking I've ever had. The service was outstanding. This is truly a gem. But I advise skipping the bar in the lobby. The service there was terrible, the bartender was rude and the drinks weren't very good. Walk past the bar and enjoy the restaurant!”
