“Nice place with surprisingly good sauvignon blanc. They have a record player and will take requests so that makes for a nice ambiance inside. Staff is also pretty nice and accommodating. A lot of sonoma is getting pretentious like napa and its a nice respite here.“
“This winery is a diamond in the rough. The people working there are so friendly and knowledgeable. As I understand it, the first Latin family owned winery. But best of all are their wines. Complex, lasting over the your pellet. One friend said the wine went through 3 different stages.“
“5 stars for the property and service! Take time to explore the entire property and various buildings. They have a hedge maze but we ran out of time. Wine is difficult to rate but they have an extensive menu with reasonable prices. We did not like anything on the tasting menu but they let us try a few others and really enjoyed the Syrah. They shipped for $5 flat and our wine was delivered quickly.“
“We happened upon Honrama Cellars by chance and we’re so happy we did! They were getting ready to close up and go home but let us in to try a glass of wine. What a fun visit that ended up being! The proprietors were very pleasant, knowledgeable, and so patient with us as we asked over and over again to take our picture on the cool saddle seats. Many thanks to them! “Terry did an amazing wine tasting for our group of 4 wine drinkers. He was absolutely excellent! So knowledgeable about the wine and the winemaking process. The Pinot Noir wines at Walt were simply incredible! My faves Gap's Crown, Bob's Ranch, Sierra Mar, Rose' from Pinot Noir, and Rita's Crown. The tasting room was spacious and the atmosphere was wonderful. Terry showed us a short film with aerial views of the vineyards producing the grapes of each wine we tasted. Awesome, just awesome! “It's hard to describe this place in words. You just have to be there to appreciate the experience, and it really is a whole experience. My friend and I wandered in off the street and found Paul just chilling and spinning records. He welcomed us without a reservation and we ended up staying for hours tasting their amazing wine, playing music and chatting about the history of the winery and more. We learned so much and had such a special time. This was our favourite spot in Sonoma, no contest.“

“This is a hidden gem!!! I feel almost guilty getting the word out, but then again, it's so incredible that I want others to enjoy it! It's up in the hills in Sonoma and you have to go up a windy road and then enter by a private gate where they buzz you in. PLEASE NOTE, it's appointment only. They do fill up as they give a very personal and intimate tasting. It's best to book well in advance (we booked our tasting a month out to be safe). The tasting area is a beautiful old barn that has huge doors that opens up to the most majestic vineyard view. The tasting and overall service was simply outstanding. We fell in love with the wines and the stories and the incredible history of the winery. We became wine club members it was that special - we are very picky with where we join as it's a commitment, but this one is one we are super excited about. The wines are so lovely and elegant. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!“

“This tasting room was suggested to us by a Sonoma native and we were not disappointed. The team took us in as a walk in from the cold winter rain and made the whole tasting extreme personable. We became members after our tasting with Zach and he was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the wine process. Angie also helped us with our entry and spritz before our tasting welcoming us in and explaining the wine making process. This is a gem of the Sonoma Plaza and I'd recommend this to any wine drinker.“

“Great experience tasting several different wines with the help of Brent. The atmosphere is low-key, decor is modern but not stuffy. Great location as well! Brent was attentive and very helpful in guiding our selections They offer a wonderful array of wines from sparkling all the way to Petit Verdot. Our favorite was the 2019 Syrah. Wonderful place to visit before or after lunch in Sonoma.“
“Hamel Family Wines did us right! Their space is modern, beautiful and the seating offers a view of their scenic vineyards. I appreciated that this wasn't an overcrowded winery and that the seating was comfortable. Reds like Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Zinfandel and their blends are Hamel's specialities. I ended up leaving with a Zinfandel and an Isthmus Cabernet. The Isthmus is a unique varietal and caught my palate. We were looking for a winery to add to our Sonoma trip and I was happy that we found Hamel because it ended up being one of the best wine experiences we visited that trip.“

“My girlfriends and I came here when George was about to close for the day. Thinking we were going to get turned away, he welcomed us and served us some great wine! We left with 2 bottles of The Copper (will be ordering more). My friends and I want to thank George for his wonderful and caring hospitality. “What a fantastic wine tasting experience at Sojourn Cellars today. Located right in the heart of Sonoma, just off the square. Lisa’s gracious hospitality and warm welcome made us feel right at home. Their wine portfolio is expansive; from brut sparkling, through still rosé and Sonoma Coast chardonnay, opulent Pinot Noirs and Cabs, concluding the tasting with an exceptional vintage of Beckstoffer Georges III Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Beautifully balanced wines with a soft touch and just a whisper of oak. Lisa took fabulous care of us from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, including farewell photos of our group. A beautiful setting with rolling hills, palm trees and a goregous 1800 era hacienda home to top it off.The pet nat and Syrah were my favorites.We went with some friends who were members and you have to pay $75 per person. It was 120% worth. The experience, our wonderful hosts and the food was out of this world.“

“We had a fabulous time at this winery! We came as a group of 6 on a rainy Saturday morning in November. We discovered this place because it is in the Priority Wine Pass for 2-for-1 tastings. We were pleasantly surprised to find out they were actually doing free tastings during our visit! Which makes the service we received during our tasting even more appreciated. They are located in a cute shopping complex with other places to explore nearby. We sat inside at a beautiful wooden table with a TV screen showing videos/photos of their vineyard. They also have a covered patio with lots of plants that is really cute! One person in our group is pregnant and could not drink. Our host, Elaine, brought out several non-alcoholic drink options for her free of charge which was so kind--they even poured it into a wine glass for her to feel included! She gave us a sparkling rose to start off our tasting, an addition to the regular tasting menu. We got to choose 4 wines to try from their list of 10 for the flight, we loved that we got to choose which wines were part of our tasting since we all have different preferences! I'm more of a white wine girl and really loved the French Colombard, I purchased a bottle to take home! There were 2 Cabs in their tasting menu, our host encouraged my husband to try the more expensive one and explained why it is better--this was a pleasant surprise for a group that was there doing a free tasting. She even brought out chocolates and a dessert wine for us to have at the end! We ended up getting to taste 6 different wines during this tasting which was amazing. Elaine told us a lot of the history of Meadowcroft and shared details of some events they have at the winery like their wine blending events. She let us see the wine aroma charts and talked with us about different scents and flavors of wine! I'd love to come for one of those events sometime. We felt like Elaine went above and beyond for our service, we had to thank her for such a great experience here by buying several bottles of their wine! Thank you for being one of our favorite wineries of the weekend, I will certainly be back!“
“Bump winery offers great wines at very good prices at their lovely tasting room in downtown Sonoma. The shop is inviting, well designed and is a family own business which deserves more attention and our support. Next time you are in Sonoma drop by for a tasting or a purchase of your favorite wines and gift items. Periodically, local artist's works are also on display.“
“Beautiful stumble after we had girls brunch across the street! Sandra provided some of the sweetest service and helped us drink a lot of wine for less! We got three bottles split between the five of us and only paid about 25 dollars each. Such a steal. The weather was lovely and outdoor seating was cozy. Would definitely recommend this place for their rosé especially and prices!“
“The wine was delicious and staff were very accommodating. The tasting room is very simple, but a nice focus on history and wine. The price to taste more than fair and have some interesting pinots, with great descriptions. We plan to return during the warmer months to check out their outdoor amenities.“
“Kivelstadt was the highlight of our wine country trip. This is a hidden gem with unique, interesting, well-made wines and delicious seasonal farm to table bites from the attached restaurant. Tori who lead our tasting was very knowledgeable about the wines but also geeked out with us about all the birds visiting the feeders nearby. The vibe is very much like hanging out in the back yard with your friends, except your friends also happen to make really good wine and really good food (but like, they're super low key about both). Kivelstadt had been on my list for years but I had never gotten around to it because it's a little out of the way; Turns out it's absolutely worth making the time for.“
