“The wines were incredible! The vibes are overall very casual; as in, you can just walk in and start tasting. And the staff is amazing. Olivia walked me through the entire tasting experience like an expert, and was so friendly and helpful! Even got to meet the owner, who was kind and welcoming. Happy to have come by, and looking forward to visiting again!“
“the selection of wines paired with their cheeses and charcuterie was amazing!! Kara was lovely and amazing as well ! loved everything about my experience, would definitely come agian, and I joined the wine club .“
“The owner, Chris, is incredibly knowledgeable and always fun to talk to. Last week was my third tasting there and each time the service and wines have been excellent! Highly recommend!“
“Down to earth setting, casual and relaxing allowing for a great place to sit, enjoy wine and have a conversation. The Merlot is by far my favorite. As it has plenty of character, and an amazing finish.“
“We had such a fantastic experience tasting at Winery Sixteen 600. We had a reservation but walked in hours earlier given the weather and they were happy to accommodate us. It was personable, engaging, relaxed, and we enjoyed every single thing we tried. We appreciated Brian’s willingness to spend time talking about all things wine and life with us and not feeling rushed at all. We really enjoyed the custom tasting journey we got to go on and we left with more wine to enjoy back home. Highly recommend!“
“This surpassed all expectations and felt like a dream. Stephen was an amazing tour guide. We started with an atv ride where we got to see more of the vineyard followed by a tour of the wine caves and followed by getting to check out their amazing inside facility. The wine, the atmosphere and the level of expertise shared was all out of this world!“
“Congratulations to this boutique winery! Their reds are smooth, pleasant and maturing. The story of passion and legacy will keep their production going for many years! Looking forward to returning.!“
“Kiv is a total find. The front looks a little rough when you pull up…then you step through and it opens into this unexpected backyard oasis. Big shade umbrellas, fire pits, quiet corners — the kind of spot you settle into for hours.
The wines are fantastic and very reasonably priced. Father’s Watch (pictured) might be one of the best blends anywhere — balanced, silky, and way better than its price point suggests. They’re also working with some rare and hard-to-find varietals, which makes each flight feel different than the usual Sonoma lineup.
The chicken and ricotta bites? Absolute knockout. One of those dishes you order “just to try” and immediately wish you’d doubled.
Service is relaxed but sharp, the atmosphere is great, and there’s a wonderful restaurant next door. Location is solid, but you could easily drive past the humble storefront — don’t.
A+ winery. Total gem.“
“Sandy was a wonderful host. She explained everything, from the history of the property to the winemaking, and how Pinot Noir and Chardonnay thrive thanks to the cool maritime influence.
She also introduced us to the art and sculptures on the estate, which were far more impressive than we imagined. The whole property felt like an outdoor museum, with an immersive blend of nature, wine, and creativity.
We highly recommend this vineyard if you’re looking for a memorable, enriching experience that truly captures the spirit of Carneros wine culture.“
“I live in Toronto, Canada, and was first introduced to Schug Winery wines at our local wine stores about 10 years ago! We are currently unable to purchase California wines in Canada, and to have just recently been in Sonoma, SCHUG WINERY was my #1 choice to head to. My friend and I spent the afternoon with Theresa Blankenship (Estate Host) in their Tasting Room, sampling some of the BEST Pinot Noirs (amongst their Chardonnays, Cab/Savs) I've ever had the pleasure of tasting! Theresa's expertise, guidance, story-telling, and genuineness, gave us the experience of a lifetime in one afternoon!“
“Our favourite stop on our Sonoma wine tour! Jesse was pouring for us, and he was such a fantastic host. Friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience so much fun. We absolutely loved all the bubbles, and every wine we tried was incredible. Walt Wines is a must-visit! I highly recommend stopping in for a tasting, you won’t be disappointed.“
“Another winery recommended we visit this winery in Sonoma because of it's story, culture, and quality. Six of us did and it did not dissappoint. Jimmy did a wonderful job of sharing the family history, as well as the history of the winery. He also recommended great wines for us to sample and consider for purchase. I'm glad we availed ourselves to learning about how our Mexican brothers worked the fields, learned the business and became and expert, purchased land, started his on winery, and served two U.S. Presidents (Obama and Bush) and the California Gov (Swarzenegger). Oh, the wine is GREAT!“
“This place is a must visit; albeit a young vineyard of just over a decade, produces some of the most dreamy vines over volcanic rock and with that stiff lower lip factor on the offing; gives a swift intense flavour on a bio diversified product.
The view is fantastic and the architecture is modern using rammed earth walls which look like cinderblock concrete sets!
A fireplace and seating made for the expanse of a king looking over his vast lands. Overall a beautiful setup with great service.
Definitely reccomend a second and a third visit.“
“My friends and I had such a great time at Highway 12. Mike did our tasting and we all had such an incredible experience. He was very personable, gave a lot of good recommendations of other places to stop by to the point that we just scrapped our other plans and did our day Mike’s way and loved it! We really enjoyed all of the wines here and ended up leaving with four bottles. The outdoor seating area was lovely and perfect for a slightly chilly day. I’d definitely recommend starting your tasting day here.“
“The best winery in California! I would like to thank Don for making the visit spectacular he went out the way to greet us and he was so friendly. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to taste wine and check out the founder and history of wine in the US it’s very intresting.“
“There’s no better luxe wine experience than Corner 103 when visiting Sonoma. Voted one of the best tasting rooms in America, you are presented with a different wine glass for each varietal to enhance the flavor and aroma. For a very special occasion, select the food and wine paring experience. It’s worth the extra cost with a gourmet food parring unlike any other. This is one of the best wine clubs to join with their award-winning wine selection, distinctive events and personalized service.“
“I had the most amazing birthday experience at this winery. Not only was our server, highly knowledgeable and local to the area, but I was also able to play on the Pickleball court for an hour with one of my best friends. The Customer Sevice was amazing. The wines were delicious and I purchased two bottles of wine to take home afterwards. The grounds were beautiful, every single space was clean and tidy, the air was peaceful and the energy was so good. Most notable was Eric. He went out of his way to ensure that I had my belongings which I had left behind at the winery. He went above and beyond and shipped my item I left behind at the winery to my home in Los Angeles. Without him going above and beyond I would not have been able to have my item returned. I’m so grateful for the total experience that o had a anaba wines. Thank you all.would love to return in the future .“
“Such an intimate experience on a cold & foggy February morning! So glad I was able to get a coveted spot for tasting! Highly, highly recommend!“
“We have been ordering wine from Bedrock many years. This was our first time to visit. The tasting room is just off the main square in Sonoma. It is located in the historic Joseph Hooker House. We were a few minutes late for our appointment but we were seated immediately. Our tasting started with Under The Wire sparkling wine followed by some the Cuvée Karatas which we liked. The plot twisted in the next two pours. In each of the final two rounds we were offered 3 wines to evaluate side by side. This was super fun. We also ordered the charcuterie board and it was delicious too. We had a wine order already pending so we just added more bottles to this order. We opted to take a bottle of 2009 Griffen's Lair syrah with us to drink at the hotel.“
“I am a tour guide and everyone that I bring here loves the wine. He's basically a one man operation and puts in a lot of care into his product. I feel sorry for the wineries that we visit afterwards because hardly anyone buys from them.“
“I had a wonderful afternoon here. I didn't know what to taste, so I was guided by Kim who was so helpful and gave me a great tasting experience! The courtyard is beautiful with olive and lemon trees, just lovely. I highly recommend this winery experience!“
“I visited this winery about a month ago on the fly with my partner while on vacation, and I left feeling so happy that we decided to stop in here. For starters, the building and landscape itself are gorgeous. The chapel on the hill in the back makes you feel like you’re in Europe. We tried several wines, all of which were unique and delicious. The best part about this place, however, was not the grounds or the wine. It was the staff. In particular, Debbie made our day, and our time with her was one of our favorite parts of the trip. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about her job, the ranch, and the wines; but also was just genuinely a hilarious and pleasant person to be around. She is truly an asset to this winery. It has been nearly a month since our visit, but we still talk about our time here several times a week.“
“Great place to visit Great wine and food ❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻“
“We stumbled upon this place by complete chance and we were met with surprise after surprise. Who knew about Kamen’s history ! Maybe people do but we certainly didn’t. It was really interesting to learn about his past - starting all the way back in india in kashmir and ending at where he did - a winning screenplay writer and certainly a winning Cabernet for us! This was the best Cabernet we had in the region. Not overpowering yet so complex. Mark herold is a magician with his winemaking and Kamen himself is a magician given everything he touches turns to gold! Great stop. Andi hosted us at the tasting room and was a great story teller! We would highly recommend“
“My sweetie and I stopped by for the yummy wine and the overall lovely views! We were not disappointed!“
“Our favorite stop out of 5 days in Sonoma/Napa! We enjoyed the wine here more than any of the high dollar, fancy vineyards we visited!
Great wines, great setting, and a very friendly host!
Personal favorites were the 2021 Merlot from Pickberry Vyd and the 2019 Cab Sav, but it’s a hard pick because everything was fantastic.“
“Delicious food, great for taking photos and relaxing, relaxed atmosphere“
“★★★★★
Ricci Vineyards in Carneros is a gem. The setting is serene with wide vineyard views and a calm, unhurried feel. Our host was welcoming and truly knowledgeable, sharing vineyard history, farming details, and how the Carneros climate shapes the wines. The tasting was excellent from start to finish, with bright, elegant Pinot Noir, a crisp white that showed real lift, and balanced textures that made each pour memorable. It felt personal and genuine, the kind of visit where you slow down and really connect with the place.
Service was spot on, the wines were dialed in, and the experience felt thoughtfully curated without any fuss. Book ahead, give yourself time to linger, and enjoy the conversation as much as the glass in your hand. A perfect Carneros stop and an easy five stars.“
“Super fun tasting experience and the wines are like nothing I've ever had before in California. Hardey (the owner) walked me through the tasting and was super awesome to converse with, while educating me about the wines, the grapes, the techniques to making them, philosophy, everything.
Highly recommend this winery. The 2024 yeah! Was so so good, and Im still thinking about the orange wine.“
“A visit to Patz & Hall in Sonoma is a reminder of what makes small-lot, handcrafted wines so special. Nestled just off the beaten path near the Sonoma Plaza, the winery’s Sonoma House offers an elegant yet relaxed setting — a beautiful blend of contemporary design, natural light, and vineyard views that immediately set the tone for an intimate tasting experience.
The hospitality team was exceptional from the start: warm, engaging, and deeply knowledgeable about the wines and their vineyard partners. Our tasting was hosted on the patio overlooking the gardens — a serene, sunlit spot that perfectly matched the graceful character of their Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs.“
“We had a great experience at Viansa with their ever helpful staff. Racheal was our pour ologist and she could not have been more informative or helpful. The grounds and views are stunning and the wines were a mix of light and refreshing to serious and complex. It’s all good at Viansa. Ask for Racheal from Denver.“
“We did a Groupon for the Sampler Tasting at Roger Roessler Wines while we were in the Sonoma/Napa area. Aaron and I had a great time. Ethan was the gentleman that did our tasting. He made it such a great experience. In fact, Aaron told him I usually don’t buy wine at tastings and I ended up buying 6 bottles. If you are in the area, Groupon or not, please reserve your wine tasting here, you won’t be disappointed.“
“The wine doesn't taste good.
Probably because of European Italian wine, the taste is very bland, without layers, and very dry.
Except for the first glass of sparkling rose, which was okay, the rest of the red was not good.“
“Excellent Pinot Noirs, Neil is terrific.“
“We biked to this winery as part of our birthday celebration! It was an absolute delight meeting Bill and hearing his story of being a certified organic winery. Let me just say wow! His wines are truly something special and his hospitality is second to none. Cheers Bill and thanks for the birthday cupcakes!!“
“My husband and I came here on the whim and we enjoyed ourselves more here than at the previous wineries we had been too. George was very knowledgeable and kind and very honest with us towards his favorites, his experience and he provided some great stories and made some excellent recommendations. I would highly recommend coming here! It was such a welcoming environment and we enjoyed every single moment of it! 😊“
“Tom Was amazing! This was our first tasting on our first day in Sonoma and he made sure we were taken care of. He was also helpful with dining in the area. The outside patio was a great casual vibe and I would definitely recommend this place for any wine enthusiast!“
“Awesome tasting experience. Great wines“
“Wow, what a great find! We visited Ceja through Sonoma Bike Tours- and we had a fantastic time. My party is well versed in wine and well travelled- and we were impressed with our Ceja experience! The wine (especially the Chardonnay, red blend, and dessert wine) was consistently great. I highly recommend doing the wine tasting.Don’t miss out about learning about the family story, too!“
“I’ve been a member of Cliff Lede and several Wilson wineries, all of which I love, but this has become my favorite. I think Shane is an excellent winemaker and the variety of wines is amazing. I drink mostly reds (love especially the Hermit blend and blaufrankisch as well as the cab franc) but the Albariño white is excellent as well. The virtual tastings in the past two years have also been great introductions to the wines. Highly recommend.“
“Terrific wines. Many Pinots, Chards and Cabs.“
“My husband and I loved our tasting with Katy. She truly is a master vintner. Thank you for a memorable afternoon!!“

“I've been to Ram's Gate a handful of times and have always had memorable experiences, but this visit truly stood out thanks to Monya. She went above and beyond in every way. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable about the wine offerings and the property, but she took extra care to make us feel genuinely special and well taken care of. Her warmth, attention to detail, and passion elevated the entire experience. Out of the many tastings we've done, this was by far the most memorable. Can't say thank you enough - Monya you were fantastic!
One last thing... the fireplaces and the Christmas decor was just incredible! Definitely will be a holiday tradition for us to visit moving forward.“

“We had an amazing experience yesterday and loved several of the varietals! Wonderful and knowledgeable hostess and comfy tasting room. Will definitely make this stop#1 time and time again when we return to Sonoma. Oh yea, our dog gives it 4 paws up too!“
