“So our family has a friendly competition to locate the best fish tacos anywhere. And I am a chili relleno snob so we stopped here on my daughter-in-law's suggestion and unfortunately she wins or maybe fortunately? The fish tacos were better than anything I've ever had and the chili Anna was above average so I can strongly recommend this place for the food. We had to wait about 10 minutes at the register even though they were open at 11:00 which bothers me a little bit because if you're going to open the front door you should be ready to go. But other than that the food came out promptly and was beyond amazing“
“This place has been on my list for a while, I have driven by so many times and it always catches my eye. I am *so* glad I stopped by, I officially have a new go-to lunch spot! There's seating inside and outside, the food is so dang flavorful (I could go for more of their toum anytime), and the portions are perfect. I can't recommend this place enough!“
“Plenty of photos to accompany this review. The grounds are beautiful and the service was very attentive. I did not realize there is no dinner service here which surprised me a bit. The lemonade was not the powder kind and the dishes were all excellent except one. Brussel sprouts, the oversize onion rings, Chicken sandwich, Pork sandwich, and salad with shrimp were all very tasty. My question (I do not know the answer for sure so the potential single star beat down did not take place) is around the poke entree. The poke looks very much like the standard fish obtained from restaurant depot. Just like the seaweed salad that most places use from this supplier. I bring this up since the overall quality of the food here was high so I would hope they do not leverage that generic supplier for this dish. All in all, it is a five star establishment.“
“This was an incredible experience. We came on a rainy day, so the kids were offered blankets and the amazing staff moved the heaters for us!Some amazing staff that helped us included Jen and Dan! Thank you!!!!Dietary restrictions: Clearly labeled vegan and gluten free options.Kid-friendliness: They are very kid-friendly here.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp and no stairs.“
“Been going here for about a year now and while I love the flavors, the ordering and overall customer service, albeit a limited frills place, leave something to be desired. Maybe we caught you on a frustrating day, but you didn't have biscuits that day, and I love me some biscuits. You need to be more accommodating when a pretty big shift like that occurs.“
“First impression : I called them in a Saturday morning and Sophie answered. She was nothing but pleasant and inviting , encouraging us to walk in. Once we were there (we were a party of 6) we were greeted and welcomed with genuine smiles. We loved our experience and the wine was amazing. Thank you!“
“We wanted to start the 2024 New Year special with the Epicurean Connection. We had taken a cheese class from Sheana and Ben last year. Therefore, we knew the mozzarella class would be perfect for us. Sheana and Ben warmly greeted us into their professional culinary kitchen and world. Every attention to detail was prepared for making mozzarella. Sheana demonstrated various mozzarella techniques. She also taught us how to create beautiful burrata pouches worthy of fine dining. We worked hard and happily flexed our muscles. Sheana is a culinary genius and shared her wealth of knowledge. Thank you Sheana and Ben for starting our New Year 2024 with gusto! We (Southern California cousins) had a memorable and fun time!“
“This stop was worth it! It’s the oldest winery! Great old building, fantastic history, and loved the service. Eileen was incredibly happy and caring while we tasted wines. We recommend the stand up tasting! We also did the reserve and it was fully worth it! It’s free to join their case club so highly recommend going in on a personally selected case with friends or family!“
“This winery is a diamond in the rough. The people working there are so friendly and knowledgeable. As I understand it, the first Latin family owned winery. But best of all are their wines. Complex, lasting over the your pellet. One friend said the wine went through 3 different stages.“
“Terry did an amazing wine tasting for our group of 4 wine drinkers. He was absolutely excellent! So knowledgeable about the wine and the winemaking process. The Pinot Noir wines at Walt were simply incredible! My faves Gap's Crown, Bob's Ranch, Sierra Mar, Rose' from Pinot Noir, and Rita's Crown. The tasting room was spacious and the atmosphere was wonderful. Terry showed us a short film with aerial views of the vineyards producing the grapes of each wine we tasted. Awesome, just awesome! Add Walt, located off Sonoma Square to your tasting journey.“
“I was visiting a friend in California when she took me to this coffee shop. It's a very small tiny little Hut that has a billion people working in it. But they operate at extremely fast pace and all appear to be very pleasant and willing to assist. You take the drive through to order and then pull up to a window for pickup. There's not much parking but it really is meant to be a drive-thru type of establishment. I had never been to this place before not here in California or anywhere else. So for my first time I have to be very honest, it was the absolute very best coffee I had ever had! I would absolutely recommend for a visit!“
“Great experience last night at this local Sonoma gem! Smallish menu with lots of starters to share and also some regular size entrees as well. The food was amazing. The service was great and friendly. We had a reservation for later in the evening but we called and they were happy to accommodate our request to come in earlier. I love sitting at the front window when we go with friends or sitting at the bar and watching the chef. Nice ambiance, kind of dark and moody with cool art on the walls. To start, we ordered the buratta. It was delicious. Served with pesto, Calabrian chilies and bread. We also ordered the raw oysters and a green goddess salad. For our mains - 3 of us ordered the boneless beef short ribs served with carrots and mashed potatoes and the other guest ordered the shrimp and grits. Needless to say we cleaned our plates! For dessert, we ordered the butterscotch pit de creme and a hot fudge sundae. I highly recommend this restaurant. Perfect location right on the Sonoma Plaza.“
“This little cafe was cute. I loved the old fashioned bar stools. It right out of the 50's. I had the cheese burgers that came with fries. It was juicy and the bread was fresh. My friend had the TLB sandwich and clam chowder. The chowder was thick and hit the spot perfectly per my friend. The waitperson was friendly.“
“I always enjoy and appreciate my experience at Anaba. Everyone is so welcoming. Ken helped us out this time and he teaches me something new about wine every time and whenever I reach out to Ben, I get a quick, friendly reply. He is the absolute best wine club manager in wine country! I Love being part of this community!“
“The wines were great, we bought some even after telling ourselves we were done buying wine on this trip. But being able to talk with the owner was even better. We had a great experience and hopefully will be back in Sonoma so we can visit again!“
“It's hard to describe this place in words. You just have to be there to appreciate the experience, and it really is a whole experience. My friend and I wandered in off the street and found Paul just chilling and spinning records. He welcomed us without a reservation and we ended up staying for hours tasting their amazing wine, playing music and chatting about the history of the winery and more. We learned so much and had such a special time. This was our favourite spot in Sonoma, no contest.“
“Love this place. was just in town for a long weekend but read that this was one of the best sushi places and no lie, it is! small place and we got a table right away I think only because of the holiday weekend. service was great. very small business, local feel. seem to have some regulars. sashimi was super fresh and reasonably priced for what you get. wish I lived closer!“
“This tasting room was suggested to us by a Sonoma native and we were not disappointed. The team took us in as a walk in from the cold winter rain and made the whole tasting extreme personable. We became members after our tasting with Zach and he was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the wine process. Angie also helped us with our entry and spritz before our tasting welcoming us in and explaining the wine making process. This is a gem of the Sonoma Plaza and I'd recommend this to any wine drinker.“
“Delightful, casual yet chic spot with delicious food...and we didn't even get the sausage. We got a bacon/gouda/quince jam toasted sandwich and avocado toast with bacon. Both hit the spot! And the coffee was truly delicious - smooth, strong. Will definitely return!“
“Best tacos in Sonoma county! My personal favorite is ordering chicken tacos with al pastor salsa, but you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. They are doing everything right in their kitchen. I recommend checking their instagram to see where they’ll be at for the week. And don’t forget the potatoes and onions!“
“Beautiful stumble after we had girls brunch across the street! Sandra provided some of the sweetest service and helped us drink a lot of wine for less! We got three bottles split between the five of us and only paid about 25 dollars each. Such a steal. The weather was lovely and outdoor seating was cozy. Would definitely recommend this place for their rosé especially and prices!“
“Huge recommendation to everyone for Kina’s.We dined at Kinas tonight after having been awol for a while. Wow! Just wow! The food is just great. We all shared the nachos as a family appetizer and the flavors were bursting in every bite.My daughter had the burger and loved it. It was enough that she brought 1/2 home and there were enough fries for the entire family to satisfy our craving. We both had the pozole (just one of 7 soups). The broth had a great mild spice and the soup was surely enough as a meal. They serve a side of chili oil to spice it up if you like. The food selection is great. I struggled to decide between the Fish Tacos and the soup. Plenty of parking. We have a couple of other regular spots around town and honestly, they simply don't match the flavor and quality of the food. Well done!!! We will be back for sure“
“You want a great wet burrito, this is a spot in Sonoma California. You will find Sonoma eats restaurant great services, great food, especially that wet burrito with Al Pastor. Great spot to outside I’m really clean. ?????☝?love food love life.“
“Loved the relaxing atmosphere and wine. Liked the wine so much that we joined the wine club. They allow dogs which is also great, so Zoey got to join us. It is a family ran winery which is awesome and the staff was so nice and knowledgeable.“
“Step into a world where wine is not just a beverage but an expression of artistry and terroir at Scribe Winery, where every sip tells a story of passion, tradition, and innovation. My recent visit to this esteemed winery left me spellbound by its commitment to craftsmanship and reverence for the land, and I am excited to share my extraordinary experience.Nestled in the rolling hills of Sonoma Valley, Scribe Winery embodies the essence of California's winemaking heritage. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in the serene beauty of the estate, with its century-old vineyards, rustic farmstead, and sweeping views of the countryside. As I entered the tasting room, I was greeted by the warm hospitality of the Scribe team, who guided me through an exquisite selection of wines that truly captured the essence of the region. From their signature Chardonnays to their elegant Pinot Noirs, each wine reflected the unique characteristics of the terroir and the meticulous attention to detail in its production. What sets Scribe Winery apart is its unwavering commitment to sustainable and organic farming practices. Walking through the vineyards, I was struck by the harmony between nature and agriculture, with cover crops, bees, and sheep working in concert to nurture the vines and enrich the soil. It's inspiring to see a winery so deeply connected to the land and dedicated to preserving its beauty for future generations. In addition to its exceptional wines, Scribe Winery offers a range of immersive experiences for visitors, from vineyard picnics and farm-to-table dinners to hands-on workshops and guided tours. I particularly enjoyed their "Hacienda Experience," where I had the opportunity to explore the historic estate, learn about the winemaking process, and savor a selection of their wines paired with locally sourced cuisine. But perhaps the most memorable aspect of my visit was the sense of community and camaraderie that permeates every aspect of Scribe Winery. Whether sharing stories with fellow wine enthusiasts around the communal table or chatting with the winemakers in the cellar, there is a genuine sense of connection and passion that infuses every moment.“
“Indulging in the exquisite wines at Hawkes Winery was an absolute pleasure. From the moment we stepped through the doors, Omar’s warm hospitality set the tone for a fantastic visit. His passion for the wines and dedication to ensuring we had a fantastic experience was evident in every detail. Each pour revealed layers of complexity and flavor, showcasing the craftsmanship and dedication of the winemaking team. We left feeling not only satisfied but enriched by the knowledge and memories we gained. Without a doubt, Hawkes Winery and Omar deserve a five-star rating for their exceptional service and outstanding wines.“
“Delicious Mexican food. I've enjoyed Tacos Costa mainly at their stand right outside Sonoma Brewery. Their tacos are delicious. But, I come back for the Shrimp quesadilla - the shrimp is well seasoned and they are generous. Staff is friendly and ready to assist you. This is how it works - place your order at their stand, pay, and you'll receive a token which vibrates when your food is ready. While you wait grab a beer!“
“Food was so delicious!! We had their special Western Fried Chicken Sandwich. Flavor was on point and chicken was juicy and didn't have to much breading. Also got a coffee shake the flavor was great but I was hoping for more of a thick shake. Staff was super friendly and we got our food fairly quickly since they were very busy. We are so glad we finally stopped by but sad it was their last day opened. Prices are reasonable for the price of food these days.“
“We had a fabulous time at this winery! We came as a group of 6 on a rainy Saturday morning in November. We discovered this place because it is in the Priority Wine Pass for 2-for-1 tastings. We were pleasantly surprised to find out they were actually doing free tastings during our visit! Which makes the service we received during our tasting even more appreciated. They are located in a cute shopping complex with other places to explore nearby. We sat inside at a beautiful wooden table with a TV screen showing videos/photos of their vineyard. They also have a covered patio with lots of plants that is really cute! One person in our group is pregnant and could not drink. Our host, Elaine, brought out several non-alcoholic drink options for her free of charge which was so kind--they even poured it into a wine glass for her to feel included! She gave us a sparkling rose to start off our tasting, an addition to the regular tasting menu. We got to choose 4 wines to try from their list of 10 for the flight, we loved that we got to choose which wines were part of our tasting since we all have different preferences! I'm more of a white wine girl and really loved the French Colombard, I purchased a bottle to take home! There were 2 Cabs in their tasting menu, our host encouraged my husband to try the more expensive one and explained why it is better--this was a pleasant surprise for a group that was there doing a free tasting. She even brought out chocolates and a dessert wine for us to have at the end! We ended up getting to taste 6 different wines during this tasting which was amazing. Elaine told us a lot of the history of Meadowcroft and shared details of some events they have at the winery like their wine blending events. She let us see the wine aroma charts and talked with us about different scents and flavors of wine! I'd love to come for one of those events sometime. We felt like Elaine went above and beyond for our service, we had to thank her for such a great experience here by buying several bottles of their wine! Thank you for being one of our favorite wineries of the weekend, I will certainly be back!“
“Cute little place! Food was quite good. Not as many local wine options, but still good! Crispy rice was pretty good as well as the butter beans. Salad and bread were amazing!!! Best bread and olive oil I’ve ever had, as simple as they are.“
“Just got back home from visiting family in Sonoma. My brother-in-law recommended Homegrown Bagels, so I gave it a go. First trip was to get a breakfast sandwich. WOW! I loved the amount of egg and meat that I got, plus the addition of avocado is always good. Toasted for that great, crunchy exterior, and the familiar chew of a good NY-style bagel (although I'm not as picky as NY'ers) was a great combo. The next day was a baker's dozen and everyone loved the variety. I think the only complaint anyone had was the veggie cream cheese spread was pretty runny compared to the others. We all assumed it was due to the water content of the veggies. The flavor was good, but the consistency was odd. But that's a minor complaint when everything else was fantastic. Our third trip there was for a bagel dog that my son requested. Great amount of food, and the toppings, while messy, were exactly what we wanted and he loved it. Great job, and continued success! We will absolutely stop by the next time we are in town!“
“This is the place that locals go for an antidote to the plaza. Not that there's anything wrong with the plaza. It is a great place to attract tourists and make money. Here, you get a nice beer and are surrounded by kind friendly people. Bingo on Wednesdays is an endearing pastime that I think is also for charity.“
“Kivelstadt was the highlight of our wine country trip. This is a hidden gem with unique, interesting, well-made wines and delicious seasonal farm to table bites from the attached restaurant. Tori who lead our tasting was very knowledgeable about the wines but also geeked out with us about all the birds visiting the feeders nearby. The vibe is very much like hanging out in the back yard with your friends, except your friends also happen to make really good wine and really good food (but like, they're super low key about both). Kivelstadt had been on my list for years but I had never gotten around to it because it's a little out of the way; Turns out it's absolutely worth making the time for.“
“Goodness gracious, how have you redeemed yourself Lou's! Amazing, delicious and comforting food! I enjoyed every single bite! I had to take back to work, but man would I have loved to have eaten on-site. I ordered the two-burn with a side of slaw. Such a different take to the coleslaw! Very flavorful fried chicken! Such a great atmosphere, and customer service by the staff! I would LOVE to come back again!“
“Being Brazilian of Portuguese descent and a good cook, my expectations were managed. I didn't check reviews or saw photos but took a look at their menu outside and had to try their Portuguese dishes. The cod fritters bolinhos de bacalhau were authentic and delicious. It's hard to make them and find descent salted cod. The wine flights, white port wine, desserts and the whole dining experience were fantastic. These days most restaurants are very expensive with mediocre or just ok food. La Salette made me believe in great food again. The flavors kept building up and surprised us. We're coming back soon.“
