“Sequoia Grove winery is basically a home away from home. I’ve been going to this place for close to 10 years. I absolutely !!!LOVE!!! it. Every time I go there, they treat you like a family member. Almost every employee is super nice, accommodating and they provide world class customer service! I truly mean this. I love their wine, I go there because I get the magical experience with it. It really feels like I’m going to a family summer house somewhere in the Mediterranean. I go for the beautiful scenery, for the relaxing atmosphere and for good vibes. If you want to have a perfectly rounded get away for a day or a weekend, check them out.“

“Had an amazing experience at Angèle in downtown Napa. The location right along the river gives it such a relaxed, upscale vibe without feeling stuffy. The food was incredible; everything tasted fresh and well thought out, especially the steak frites and the seafood dishes. You can tell they really focus on simple ingredients done right, and the presentation matched the quality.

What really stood out was the atmosphere and service. Sitting outside by the water with a glass of wine made it feel like a true Napa experience, and the staff was friendly without being overbearing. “Fontanella Family Winery was such a cute find—and exactly the kind of small winery experience that makes a girls trip feel extra special. You drive through the gate and immediately get hit with those “we’re really in Napa” views: vineyards wrapping around you in every direction.

We had a lovely private tasting, and it was the perfect pace—relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely fun. One of the highlights was getting taken down to the cellar and sampling wine straight from the barrel. It’s one thing to hear that wine needs to age… it’s another to taste it and go, “Ohhh, that’s why.” Such a cool experience.

The wines were fantastic—like “accidentally start doing bottle math” fantastic. And by bottle math, I mean we may have come home with 1, 2, or 10 bottles. I’m not an accountant, so I can’t be trusted with the exact number. I do know I grabbed a Zinfandel and wow—already looking forward to my next girls wine night so I can open it with a little dramatic flair.

They had several delicious gems, and the whole experience felt personal and memorable. Highly recommend Fontanella—and honestly, this is your sign to mix in more of the smaller wineries. They have so much to offer, and this one absolutely delivered.“

“My Wife and I had an outstanding experience in the tasting room with Alvaro after just coming across it on our honeymoon, Alvaro tailored the wine tasting around us and chatted with us about wine showing his extensive knowledge and educating us in a lot of different aspects about wineyards and how the wine is made. We bought a bottle of the 2018 Cabernet sauvignon which is an amazing wine. We can't wait to come back!“

“We came on Valentines Day without a reservation. We were welcomed and shown to a lovely bench/arbor area with a view of the Cabernet vineyard. Our server, Charlie was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We asked and learned the history of the winery and it's owner, Ernie. The wine was complex and enjoyable. We had a nice chat with the chickens as well. (Their coop is behind the tasting area and we were encouraged to take our wine with us). They have some fun and interesting sculptures and windchime. Overall, a charming place with a personal touch and wines worth tasting.“

“We've eaten at Downtown Joes several times. The food and drinks are good. This time I ordered the Fish & Chips and was pretty disappointed. Each piece looked like a decent size piece of fish. Unfortunately the batter was way too thick. At least a 1/4" thick, possibly more. The fish was very good and I wound up removing the fish from the batter and ate the fish without the batter. I won't get the fish and chips again.“

The wine is SPECTACULAR, the food tasty and the service is what really makes this the place to come for your next celebration. “On our visit to Napa we stopped here for a coffee and a piece of chocolate banana bread. It was so good we stopped the next day for breakfast. The place is cute, the staff is friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! Homemade corned beef hash and short rib omelette! The salad I ordered with omelette was equally fresh and delicious! “This was the last winery we toured while in Napa and it did not disappoint!

Upon entrance in their main building you’re greeted with friendly staff and served a glass of wine (which we ended up buying one of these bottles because it was so good) and were then paired up with two other couples (from NJ and IL) and our host, Simon.

Simon made this tour exceptional! He was friendly, informative and most of all his personality is what made all 6 of wanting to spend the rest of the afternoon there chatting and having fun.

The wines we tasted progressively got better and better. The caves were impressive and learning about the history was great.

After the tour we sat down in their patio which was equally impressive with all the arches with vines growing throughout. It was absolutely beautiful! They served our group our pizza (which they asked what we would like before the tour) and some tater tots with dipping sauce. This food was icing on the cake after the wonderful tour with our outstanding host, Simon.

Yep, we ended up having a few bottles shipped home as we loved this wine so much. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

“I had the most wonderful experience at Sleeping Giant yesterday! I was hosted by Tony, who was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I not only loved the wines and hospitality but I also loved the property. It was a gorgeous day and I was able to sit outdoors overlooking the vineyards and birdhouses. To top off a perfect visit, the owner, Chris, came to greet me and chat for a few minutes. I thought this was such a great touch and made this winery stand out to me amongst hundreds of others I've been to. Bravo and happy to now be part of the wine club!“

“Neat place in Napa that has drinks for more than wine folks! Can be noisy and hard to get in, but with it as long as you aren't starving. The food is surprisingly good and the drinks are VERY unique. I like to bring folks from out of town here for something a little different and in the middle of downtown Napa.“

“Go while you can! Duckhorn has been purchased and the Paraduxx label is going to be shut down since it isn't making enough money for some bean-counter. Paraduxx is one of the few places doing something different in Napa and it will be a real loss.“

“It was a beautiful day, so our adventure got off to a great start. We were able to find parking easily, and the staff were helpful. The guys went for the beef burgers, and I ordered the veggie burger (one of the best I've had). We also ordered garlic fries, sweet potato fries, and I splurged on an espresso shake. Everything tasted fresh, portions were generous, and we wanna go back on our next trip to Napa! Tip: We went on a Thurs, so it wasn't crowded... maybe a different story on weekends.“
