“Susan was incredible! Her knowledge of the history, area, and the wine was impressive. We learned so much as we sipped a series of delicious wines. We especially enjoyed the reds, our favorites were 2019 Healy Cab Sauvignon and the Stagecoach 2019 Cab Sauvignon. All in a beautiful setting surrounded by the redwoods.“

“We had such a wonderful experience at Baldacci Family Vineyards. From the moment you turn off the Silverado Trail and enter the property, there is an immediate sense of quality, care, and genuine hospitality that carries through the entire visit.

Our host, Samantha Klee, was fantastic. She was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable, and made the experience feel relaxed rather than overly formal. Our cave tour was a highlight and gave us a much greater appreciation for the property, the winemaking process, and the story behind Baldacci.

The wines themselves were impeccable. We especially appreciated how approachable they were while still having the depth and character you hope to find in Napa Valley wines. Everything we tasted was beautifully made and genuinely enjoyable on the palate.

What stood out most was how complete the experience felt. The property is beautiful, the caves are impressive, the wines speak for themselves, and the hospitality ties everything together. Nothing felt rushed or transactional — there was a real sense of pride and thoughtfulness throughout the entire experience.

Baldacci was one of those visits where you leave feeling like you experienced more than just a wine tasting. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Samantha and look forward to returning on a future trip to Napa Valley, but now as Members!“

James Cole is my favorite for so many reasons: (1) The grounds are amazing and peaceful (2) All the staff l have ever worked with ordering wine or tasting at the winery has been above and beyond. Tasting with Kate and every staff member is like visiting with an old friend (3) They are always willing to negotiate a bit better price when you order enough wine...which is never a problem since you can't have to much James Cole!

If you are looking to get away from the large commercial wine companies you absolutely can not do any better than James Cole. In my opinion I'd take their wine over any large corporate winery and any winery out there in general. You just can't beat the entire experience.“

“We went to Chimney Rock as a spur of the moment visit. Rachael was our host and she was amazing! She was very informative while also being friendly and funny in a way that fit the vibe perfectly. She brought us a couple extra pours when we were asking about certain wines and it made the experience extra special. We left with wine we talked about all afternoon and can't wait to open. Anyone who's thinking about visiting Chimney Rock should! And they should ask for Rachael as their host.“

“Kurtis is genuinely awesome!!! He knows so much about wine but doesn’t make you feel bad for not knowing stuff. He actually listens to what you say and gets excited about it, which is refreshing.

The whole experience was great from start to finish. He’s warm and funny and doesn’t act like wine is some exclusive thing—he just wants you to enjoy it and understand why it’s good. He paid attention to what we liked and switched things up during the tasting because he actually cared. That’s what stands out.

It never felt stuffy or pretentious. He was just sharing something he loves with people who want to learn. You can tell he genuinely cares about what he does.

“Out of all of the wineries/vineyards we visited, we got the best education from B Cellars. Forest was a wealth of fascinating information about how wine is made. While we enjoyed our tasty charcuterie spread with our tastings, he showed us maps of all of the vineyards in the valley and explained the importance of the location of where a grape comes from. Our private tour of this stunning winery also included the caves, their gardens, honey bees, and it's production facility-all meticulously maintained. Wonderful experience.“

“My bf and I had such an amazing experience. This winery is very unique and is truly a hidden gem we r so thankful we found. We never experienced a winery like this. The wine was fantastic, views were amazing, the owner was so friendly and inviting, and the food was amazing! We can’t wait to go back and do the tours there that they also offer and stay at their bed and breakfast! “We came on Valentines Day without a reservation. We were welcomed and shown to a lovely bench/arbor area with a view of the Cabernet vineyard. Our server, Charlie was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We asked and learned the history of the winery and it's owner, Ernie. The wine was complex and enjoyable. We had a nice chat with the chickens as well. (Their coop is behind the tasting area and we were encouraged to take our wine with us). They have some fun and interesting sculptures and windchime. Overall, a charming place with a personal touch and wines worth tasting.“

“We had the pleasure of meeting Sam, with Sleeping Giant at the Fairmont Sonoma for their evening wine tasting, but after tasting Sleeping Giant’s wines, Sam was kind enough to find a time for us to come back the following day for a private tasting.

It was, without a doubt, one of the best experiences of our entire trip and really set the bar high for the rest of our Sonoma adventure. We spent so much time talking about wine, Sam’s family and their story, and the entire winemaking process. His passion and knowledge made the experience feel incredibly personal and special.

“We recently stopped by Hess to enjoy a wine tasting. Angus was beyond generous and kind. We had not planned properly for driving time. We also got caught in traffic due to road construction. By the time we arrived we were frazzled and very late. He made an exception for us to still enjoy our wine even though we were past their latest appointment. He also greeted us with a splash of wine, which we desperately needed. (I feel horrible, but there was a younger gal who served our wine that I just loved too. I just can't remember her name. “Our visit to Kenzo Estate was an incredible experience from start to finish. Bernard was our host, and we absolutely loved his dry sense of humor. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to answer all of our questions and share the history of the estate, which we found especially interesting.

We highly recommend taking the tour. We had the opportunity to explore the vineyards, barrel caves, and winemaking buildings, which gave us a wonderful behind-the-scenes look at the estate. Even the drive to the estate was beautiful once we entered the gates.

The entire property was stunning, with spectacular views everywhere we looked. And, of course, the wine was delicious! This was definitely one of the highlights of our Napa experience, and we would highly recommend a visit to Kenzo Estate.“

The tasting room is small and intimate and Dan was fantastic, I truly enjoyed the experience, and purchased some really good Cab and Zin. This is off the beaten path so if you are looking for something different, this is the place!“
