“Open only a half day a week and we happened to drop in at the right time. I think this site says reservations only but that is not the case. I think they base it on the weather, but seems they are open Saturdays from about 1130 on. Super cute barn with great beam structure, lighting and ambiance. After walking thru to the far side of the bar, you can sit inside or head out to the vineyard and outdoor seating where they will serve you wine tasters as you finish the last. They had 4 they were tasting this day and I liked the Pinot Noir the best. Don't forget to enjoy the views from the vineyard while you are there. And make sure to chat with the owners who started the vineyard some 20 years ago as their retirement adventure. They are very sweet.“
“OMG, what a terrific place. Super friendly staff and a great venue that is a blend of both an indoor space and outdoor tables. A lot more tables/chairs on the outdoor patio section.Wines themselves are good but cannot compare to Napa. Not yet, but I believe over the next 20 years they'll be just as good. And besides, a winery experience, rather than buying a wine for home, is about more than just the wine. It's about the ambiance, the other people there, the interaction with random people next to you, all of it.In that sense, this place is a 9.5 out of 10. They are kinda low on staff so it can take a while for them to get to you, so that's the only tiny negative aspect of the place.Go and enjoy this place. Kind of like the Mayo Family Wines in Kenwood, this place has some really different stuff. Their Sauvignon Blanc is really terrific. I bought both white and red, but the wines that cost a lot more still cannot top the affordable S.B.Finally, please tip them, people! I saw some who didn't. This staff definitely deserves some love, terrific people.“
“How do I begin to explain how truly amazing this place is? We originally came in May 2023 when we were house hunting to move at the end of June. When we arrived we were met with inviting smiles and explanations of our options. We both decided to do the $25 tasting, which includes 8 total wines!! 4 at the Gardens and 4 at the Blue Victorian! After spending multiple hours meeting the employees and drinking the wine, it was an easy decision to join the wine club! The wine club is absolutely fantastic! $100 a month for two bottles of wine and daily tastings for you and 5 of your friends! This is just two of the amazing inclusions of this club!Fast forward a couple months and we are so glad we joined! Everyone treats you like part of the family and we love coming here almost on a weekly basis. Aside from being part of the family, you won't find better wine in The Valley! “Best wine tasting within 20 miles of my house. Don't wanna go to Napa? Go here! I should preface most of the wines are sweeter than I like but that makes it PERFECT for newbie wine drinkers and enthusiasts who just like wine tasting and good service. I've been 3x and we're going again next month. You'll have to trust me on how beautiful the locations are my app hates me and uploading pix it's annoying haha. Trust me it's WAYYYYY worth it and the tasting packages are AMAZING! Perfect for dates, or going with friends.“
“We have enjoyed spending time out at Wooden Valley winery! The staff at Wooden Valley truly care about their customers and take great care in serving and educating their clients. ?The wines we have enjoyed there are VERY GOOD. “Remember when you could visit Napa or Sonoma without reservations, pay $15, and have the actual winemaker pour you a tasting? That experience is nearing extinction in those areas but lives on at the Suisun Valley Wine Co-op.Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon with friends and family with no reservation and were immediately helped out by the staff. The outdoor seating area was charming and decorated for the Halloween season. There is also indoor seating for those who prefer air conditioning on a hot day. Fah, the winemaker for Sunset Cellars, one of the three "microwineries" that share the tasting room, personally poured our wine and gave us in-depth insight into the varietals, the qualities of Suisun Valley wine, and the process of winemaking. It was harvest season so we even got to sample wine grapes right off the vine. The staff here exude a laid back but enthusiastic energy, it truly stands out among the generic tastings I've done at other places where you feel like people are just going through the motions, reading some tasting notes and moving onto the next customer. Highly recommend visiting for the friendly staff and the wine which is great value, whose quality was comparable to many of the $40 tastings I have done elsewhere.“
