“I ordered the Chenin Blanc, Zinfindel and Pinot Noir. The Chenin Blanc is a crisp and full bodied. Lots of fruit but just the right balance of sweet and dryness. A really wonderful drinkable wine to be enjoyed with food or just to sip on a hot summer day. This wine feels expensive but is priced to be an everyday beverage. I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful a small winery can produce a limited quality wine at cost that can be enjoyed without breaking the bank. Easily a 9 out of 10. Next was the Zin. Compared this with a bottle twice the price. I don't want to focus just on the cost of these wines because so far from what we've tasted, they are just a quality product to enjoy. We finished the Zin in one sitting and again, nice balance without being to heavy. I can't wait to open the Pinot. I have high hopes it rates as well as these two. Wonderful people and really nice wine. I would recommend this to all.“

“Dave gave an informative and fun tour, liked that we tasted the actual grapes that went with the wine we were tasting. The 'Key of C' band is always good, enjoyed them. The 'Event' was incomplete. It would have been better to charge $5 more to welcome guests with a signature glass, box of crackers and wedge of cheese. Since the venue didn't allow food to be brought in, there should have been a food truck with multiple food options rather than a 'truck with food', with run of the mill hot dogs ( the buns weren't warmed). For an elegant evening Dave's Dawgs shouldn't be part of it. Otherwise, lovely venue, good tour/wine tasting, entertaining band, but the food and insight service fell down.“

“First time going to this winery, the garden was so wonderful. I didn't know that we could order pizza from this place too. Was here on April 6, 2024 and I have to say that the staff are friendly. Even though it was really loud inside, I was able to have outdoor seating to enjoy some wine tasting. My parents, my nana and her husband were able to have some crackers, spreads and cheeses along with our wine. The designs on each wine bottle are really awesome, especially the Freakshow bottle. Our server is able to tell us each detail about the history and how consistent our selected wine was.Overall, I would definitely going back to this winery again for a relaxing day out. This destination is a good recommendation to those that want to go to Lodi for a day trip. Everything about this place is amazing! I got some good photos of the flowers and even the view too.“

“My wife and I had a wonderful afternoon at Provenance on September 6th. Although I had Provenance wines before, I had not actually visited the winery. We arrived early for our tasting so I told Ryan, the Assistant Hospitality Manager that we would just sit outside until our scheudled reservation time. While we were sitting outside, Ryan brought us two glasses of Sauvignon Blanc to taste. My wife and I both agreed that the Sauvignon Blanc was quite good and refreshing especially since it was very hot outside. We also appreciated that Ryan just didn't give us the wine and leave, he actually sat down and talked with us for a while. Since we were doing the Cabernet tasting, Ryan suggested that we would have better experience doing the tasting inside since it was so hot outside. When we went inside, Dick was our host. Our tasting included these wines. 2017 Barrel Select Cabernet, 2017 Star Vineyard Cabernet, 2017 Sleeping Lady Cabernet, and the 2017 Howell Mountain Cabernet. Additionally Dick put together a very nice cheese tray for us to enjoy while we tasting. Prior to each pour Dick would provide us with a nice overview of the wine we were drinking a long with information on the vineyard the grapes came from. We were very impressed by Dick's knoweldge of the wines especially since he had just recently began working at Provenance. It wasn't to busy the day we visited so it what was nice that we didn't have to rush and just could take our time enjoying some great wine and cheese. At the end Dick also poured us a tasting of their Fortitude Cab. My wife and I thought all of the wines were great and decided to purchase a bottle of the 2017 Star Vineyard Cab to enjoy on a special occasion. Thank you Dick and Ryan for an very enjoyable visit to Provenance.“

Thomas Allen Vineyards & Winery Winery •

“Service and friendliness was off the charts. We tasted all the reds and loved all of them. Bought a case and joined club on our first visit (we never do that). Then they set up a table and a couple of chairs out side under a tree so we could enjoy a glass of wine and a cigar. The owner came out and introduced himself and answered all of our questions. We highly recommend this winery and their wines.“
