“We love Roman! He is the most approachable, unpretentious guide. He leans into relationship, beauty, and nature. Conversation flows. We’ve requested Roman over and over. He is delightful, knowledgeable and kind. He makes the experience. We are wine members because of him, and the wine is just so, so good. Every wine is rooted in Roman and Fantesca! He IS the face of Fantesca. We couldn’t love this experience more.“
“Really enjoy our experience today. Dana was absolutely lovely 😊“
“Definitely the most incredible views from all of the vineyards we visited. It’s about 40 min from downtown up the mountain and worth the (slightly nerve-wracking) drive up. Our guide was very gracious and the wines (and cheeseboard) were incredible. 10/10!“
“We voted this our favorite winery of our trip to Napa! Amazing wine, staff, and overall experience. We felt so welcomed and at home. We loved exploring the beautiful gardens and seeing the goats. Lowkey and such a relaxing experience. Everyone there is so sweet and wonderful. I already can’t wait to go back!“
“Our best visit during our trip to Napa! We visited Domaine Carneros, B.Cellars, Davis Estates, Grgich, and Prager Port. We had a nice visit at all of those vineyards, but none of them came close to the hospitality, friendliness and generosity that Ryan Morales showed us during our tasting at Maxville. The wines were fantastic, as was meeting Cullen...a member of the wine making team. The entire visit was spot on from the minute we arrived, to the tour of the grounds, to the tasting. Exceptional, proud to be a club member at Maxville...can't wait until our next visit.“
“The tasting experience was amazing, and our host was so wonderful—warm, energetic, and genuinely passionate about the wines, which made the whole experience even more fun. The views were unreal, easily some of the best in Napa, and the value of the tasting was hands-down the best we found.
We loved the wines so much that we ended up buying several bottles, which waived the tasting fees and made it an even better deal. Everything from the service to the scenery to the wine itself exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend a visit to Rombauer—truly a must-stop in Napa.“
“Such a fun and beautiful tasting. The wines are amazing, too-most importantly!“
“At my first visit I decided to become a member. The tasting room is very artsy, the grounds are small but nice to walk. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Additionally, you get free monthly access to other tasting rooms at couple of nearby wineries.
Wine taste is very subjective, so that's a bit more difficult to rate. What one person likes might be unpleasant to another. I've been at wineries where I don't like any of their wines, as well as one where I liked 9 out of 10 tastings. At Raymond, I like several of their reds, and all of their whites. Over all a very pleasant tasting experience worth repeating here and there.“
“Moim zdaniem najlepsze wina w Napa. Bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa, która z uwaga wsłuchuje się w oczekiwania gości!“
“The concierge at Harvest Inn, Maria D’Ambrosio, booked us in for a tasting at Louis M. Martini for our 30th anniversary and OMG was it epic! We were greeted by our host, Holden, at the front door and given a quick tour of their tasting facilities. We sampled many of their tasty wines in their dining room and were then treated to a 5 course meal! The food and wine were both amazing and to wrap it up, we were given an oak plank from a wine barrel with a special anniversary message on it for us as a keepsake. We were really well taken care and we purchased several bottles of their delicious wines and we will most definitely be returning! Highly recommend stopping in here for their wines, food and amazing people!“
“Hall Wines was an experience beyond anything that I could have imagined. When we came to wine taste at Hall, our expectations were not set. I've been too many wineries in St Helena, but I've never been to Hall. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. The winery was stunningly, beautiful. Our server Alfredo Hernandez was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, inviting, and a superb host. I love talking about wanting and asking questions as I taste and both Alfredo and Tom were both a pleasure to engage with. We enjoyed absolutely everything in our experience. We enjoyed everything so much that I decided that after July of this year, I would like to switch my wine club over to Hall from another wine club that I have in Napa. Very much looking forward to our next visit!“
“We had the most amazing time tasting and touring Ehler’s Estate. Our host Keith was very educated on the history and backstory of not only Ehler’s, but also Napa Valley in general. Delicious wine, a history lesson, and a great story teller made for the best time. We most certainly will be back and hope to see Keith again!“
“Ambiance ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Booked about a month in advance, and the experience was absolutely worth it. A beautiful winery surrounded by vineyards, with a fully open-air courtyard. We can even walk downstairs to see the vines up close. When it came to the tasting, the server walked us through each wine with a map, explaining the vineyard location and vintage in detail. As someone who doesn’t know much about wine, I was surprised that I could actually follow along — and found it genuinely interesting.
Wine ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Did the four-wine tasting. The most memorable for me were:
• 2019 Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
This one felt very balanced and approachable. Smooth, not overwhelming, and easy to enjoy even without knowing much about wine..
• 2019 Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Clearly the standout. More layered and elegant,it just tastes… more refined.
What really clicked for me was tasting the wines in order from lower to higher price — suddenly it made sense why the more expensive ones are considered better😁.
Overall 🍷
I’m not really into crowded, hype-driven places. I know Opus One is iconic and always busy, but this winery felt much more low-key and intimate. Beautiful setting, thoughtful service, and a truly hidden gem kind of experience. I really loved it and would happily come back.“
“This is a winery that specializes in port wine only. Port is a specific kind of wine that it mixed with brandy and is sweeter than typical wines. Because of the mixture of wine and brandy typically a slightly higher alcohol content around 19%.
Loved Praeger, great conversation and great wine.
There is a few to taste which is common, but discounted if you buy a bottle.
Also MUST check out the money room where people from around the world have come and left money from their country on the walls and ceiling. The room is completely covered with different currencies!“
“Omg! Thank you Clif Winery! I had ordered wine back in February and was going to pick it up in May during my mom’s b-day celebration. Because that had to be cancelled, they delivered the wine to me today, along with a few bonus bottles! Love these guys! Thank you Ashley Cox, John Sundin and the whole Clif Winery Family! :)“
“Such an amazing place! Beer, wine AND ice cream! Perfection!“
“Love Amizetta! 8 of us were just there yesterday. Great wine, great views, and Frankie was a great host! We had a lot of fun. I look forward to going again in the future to see the finished renovations!“
“Large tasting samples so he ready and eat something before you go 😊“
“Would highly recommend a stop at Markham Vineyards! Fabulous wines and service. Zoey was an amazing guide for us on our tasting tour! She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Make sure this is a stop on your wine tasting tour, especially if you are a fan of reds! Thank you Markham and Zoey for an experience we will not forget! PS. Loved the wine greeting in the parking lot!“
“Juan was absolutely AMAZING as a tour guide and tasting host. The wines are delicious. Jen is also extremely helpful with making reservations/helping with any changes. Such a fabulous crew running this place. Highly, highly recommend a visit here!“
“Absolutely phenomenal experience!!! We can’t thank Travis enough for making our tasting so special. Not only is the wine absolutely delicious- showcasing unique Italian varietals, but the team is warm, inviting and knowledgeable! And the grounds are beautiful too!“
“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dakota Shy, and I can't say enough good things about Michael. He couldn’t have been more helpful with the offering, ensuring our group had an exceptional experience. Michael shared the incredible Detert collection, which was delightful! And, of course, don’t forget to say hi to Leon the cat when you’re there—he’s an absolute hoot and adds a fun touch to the visit!“
“This place is a great vibe. Ignacio curated a tasting specific to our palates. He spent ample time explaining the Napa wine scene, challenges over the recent years, and background on each wine. We felt spoiled well beyond our expectations. Walked in at 10:15am on a weekday without a reservation. Nice low key, upbeat music situation. Multiple tasting areas to suit your specific style.“
“Duckhorn Vineyards is always such a beautiful experience from start to finish. The wines are consistently excellent balanced, elegant, and exactly what you hope for when visiting Napa Valley. Every tasting feels thoughtfully curated, and you can truly appreciate the quality in every pour.
The views are absolutely amazing. Sitting outside and overlooking the vineyards makes the entire experience feel peaceful and special. It’s one of those spots where you want to slow down, take it all in, and just enjoy the moment. Pair that with their delicious cheese plates, and it becomes the perfect afternoon. The cheese selections complement the wines so well and elevate the tasting even more.
Service has always been great whenever we visit. On our most recent trip, we made a last minute reservation and they were incredibly accommodating. We never felt rushed, and the staff made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time.
As locals, this is a place we confidently recommend for the stunning views, warm service, and truly delicious wines. It’s a classic Napa experience done right.“
“Ben was an excellent host. Friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. He was attentive our dogs and adaptable to the range of tastes of the people in our group. It's great to get a local perspective of Spring Mountain's historical and current place in the Napa Valley wine industry. The setting was lovely and the wine was nice. Overall, a great experience, which I would recommend to others.“
“We had a lovely time visiting the Schweiger winery! We had a great tasting outside on the terrace with a beautiful view over the estate. Wendy was a great host, answering all our (many) questions and told us all about the history of the winery and the vines as well as Napa Valley (as it was our first time). We love Andy Schweigers style - especially for his Cabernet Sauvignon and „Dedication“ edition - he’s putting his own spin on the wines!
We’re definitely coming back!“
“We love Guillermo at Reverie II! If you’re looking for the best deep red wine you’ve ever tasted, you have come to the right place. This was our second visit to the property and it was even more beautiful than we remembered. The Cabernet Franc was a personal favorite – we had to take some home with us
Guillermo took us on an ATV to the best view of the vineyards I have ever seen in all my years of traveling to Napa. He shared some incredible stories from his years in the wine industry.“
“Lovely day with fantastic wine 🍷“
“Great wines. Great people. Great views.“
“This is my first ever review.. I was ant David Arthur Winery exactly 4 weeks ago with my dear friend/ and adventure buddy. We got a tour of the winery and did a very personal wine tasting with the most gorgeous view of Napa valley with Jeffrey (hope I got the name right) You would have thought we had known Jeffrey for years, he gave us a tasting of the most amazing wine, while teaching us all about David Arthur and the most beautiful story of how this vineyard and winery became David Arthur winery. He even unintentionally went over the time limit of our visit because of how natural and great this moment was. This was the most beautiful and special day Michael and I have ever had together. Unfortunately, Michael passed away of a heart attack last weekend and that’s why I wanted to go on here and personally thank Jeffrey and David Arthur winery for giving Michael and I the best last weekend we have ever had together. I will Cherish that moment on that gorgeous hillside on the most perfect (last weekend of summer) day together. Between the wine, the conversation and the view I will never forget this moment. Thank you so much for this incredible experience. If I could give more than a 5 star I would.“
“Sinegal Winery, located in the heart of Napa Valley, offers an enchanting experience for wine enthusiasts. It wasn’t our first visit but this one was special. The grounds are stunning and warm. We had the pleasure of tasting with the assistant winemaker—she set the stage for an extraordinary journey into winemaking. Each wine tasting revealed depth and complexity, showcasing meticulous care and the unique terroir of the region. Sinegal Winery is a must-visit destination with its breathtaking setting, exceptional wines, and engaging staff, promising a memorable experience.“
“We stopped by Trinchero Napa Valley during our trip and wow—what a beautiful place! The views are incredible and the whole vibe is super relaxing. The wine tasting was awesome—every glass was delicious and the staff made us feel right at home. Definitely one of our favorite stops in Napa. If you're visiting the area, don’t miss this winery!“
“Such a hidden gem! We’ve only been to Napa twice, but my boyfriend and I agree—this is our favorite winery by far. John was an amazing tour guide: knowledgeable, fun, and easygoing. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, and the wine was exceptional. We became members on the spot! Highly recommend!“
“It was recommended to us, by one of the members at VGS and the experience had far exceeded our expectation. Our host Kathi went above and beyond to accommodate diet restrictions of a person in our party. She was very knowledgeable on wine, very thoughtful and mindful of her presence amongst us while we celebrated the retirement for my brother in law, yet very attentive. I highly recommend this winery and I would celebrate our special occasions again with VGS and Kathi.
Thank you Kathi for making the visit so memorable.“
“If you want to learn about wines, it’s the place to visit“
“Without a doubt, you HAVE to go to Stony Hill. Everything about the place is so cool, from the beautiful views to the re-done mid-century modern home, to the people, and without a doubt to the wine. Everyone here is top notch and professional. Jacqueline, Mar and Ruby were the absolute best. They helped me plan the perfect proposal and gave us a 14/10 tasting. The best way to start off our trip and we cannot wait to go back and re-live the memories!“
“I’m just a girl who loves wine…..
We took a ride down to Napa Valley and our first stop was at Alpha Omega Winery. Even though it was cold, a little bit muggy, we were able to warm ourselves up by the fire. If we had some British biscuits, jam, chocolate, and wine infused marshmallows, we’d be quite toasty. Nonetheless it was still a beautiful sight to see. On to the next stop

“Fantastic wine and very welcoming! I'm not a big Chardonnay, but they had the best I've ever had!“
“My wife, Sue, and I had a wonderful experience at Chase Cellars yesterday afternoon. We enjoyed the beautiful outdoor tasting area overlooking the vineyard. Tasted some terrific wines. But the best part of the experience was our tasting guide, Evan. He was a fun, knowledgeable highly personable guide, who took us through the history of the property as well as each of the delicious wines. Best tasting in the entire area. Definitely seek this one out.“
“My wife, infant, and I visited Sullivan Rutherford Estate to celebrate Mother's Day, and the hospitality and thoughtfulness we experienced were unmatched in Napa Valley. Cuquita and her team ensured everything was absolutely perfect and made the day feel special. The estate feels like walking into a secret garden, complete with a rope swing and a peaceful pond. While the wines are, of course, fantastic, what really sets Sullivan apart in a valley of 500 tasting options is the benchmark they set for truly intimate, memorable experiences.“
“From our first step on Anderson’s, we were welcomed and treated like family. Richard, the winemaker, was our host and he gave us one of the best wine tours I’ve experienced - and we went to Bordeaux and Champagne last year! His technical knowledge of the scientific winemaking process combined with his years of real-world experience and excellent storytelling made for a memorable afternoon that passed by so much faster than we wanted it to. The wine was absolutely terrific, we learned so much, and left feeling like we had made a new friend. Thank you for sharing the art of winemaking with us and for your dedication to your craft! The quality of Anderson’s is absolutely a reflection of their staff, and it was a delight to get a glimpse of that through our cave tour. Thank you!“
“Friendly service and food was amazing.“
“Always have a great experience at this amazing winery!“
“Beautiful intimate setting with the most knowledgeable wine experts!“
“We had the pleasure of having Ian walk us through their beautiful wine selection, couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Ian was so knowledgeable about the history and flavor of the wine, absolutely delicious. Would 10/10 times come back.“
“Our party of 4 enjoyed a wonderful tasting with Donna on Friday, October 18, 2024, a breezy but gorgeous morning! We were treated to the Sherwin Family story of renaissance from destruction in 2020 to a complete rebuild in 2023. As a Veteran, the patriotic flair of the vineyard was particularly attractive and the bottle itself is spectacular! Highly recommend this Vineyard!“
“Our first stop arriving in Napa and what a wonderful time at this vineyard. We were greeted by a man named Francois with an enchanting accent who is another winemaker there. He was funny but also so knowledgeable. Stu and Charles were not there but he gave us a great tour and tasting.
The place is not huge, but I love that we simply just tasted these beautiful wines right in the barrel room/ office. It was low key, non pretentious and he told us wonderful stories about the history of the land, the wine and family. We went during off season so there wasn't much to see on the vines per se, but getting to walk around and seeing all of it from a high vantage point was pretty stellar. Of course we all took a couple bottles with us and look forward to having it soon!
We got to go down to the cellar and see some super old wines stored. What a cool experience!“
“My wife and I came here on a whim one rainy Saturday morning and Tanya was kind enough to host us. She was extremely knowledgable and so down to earth, we really enjoyed the wines, conversation and setting. I can't recommend this winery enough!“
