“Stoped here with friends for dinner. None of us have ever been here so we went in with open minds and ready to be fed some good food!! So many choices to dine. Inside the restaurant, outside tables or cute yurts that seem to seat about 4 comfortably. Inside is beautiful and rustic. Very comfortable not pretentious. We were given menus but really didn't understand the process until our food server explained that side dishes are served family style in Le Cruset casserole dishes, you just need to pick a couple of proteins to go with them. Our choices: a full loaf of sourdough, fresh picked veggies and their own dip, braised leeks that are meant to be served cold, a whole deboned chicken and a filet of sturgeon. Everything was beyond incredible!! So much flavor!! Everything was extremely fresh. We kept making yum noises and saying OMG after tasting each dish. We couldn't have been happier. All our dishes seemed to compliment each other so well. Our food server was SO KNOWLEDGEABLE...she knew just the right wine to suggest with it and we took her suggestion. She really went ABOVE and BEYOND her job. No I can see whay she was training someone...she really knows the fine art of turning someone's dinner into an experience!! I wish I would have taken pictures but we were too busy eating. 5 stars Charter Oak! You exceeded in all aspects!“
“I was highly recommended to make the drive up to Pride by a well respected winery Ambassador. I did not have a reservation but thought I would take the chance, the drive up is stunning, and challenging so ensure you have a designated driver if you are tasting. Upon arrival I was greeted by Nicole. After letting her know I did not have a reservation she was very welcoming and appreciated I had made the drive and had been personally recommended by another winery Ambassador. Nicole spent considerable time with me introducing me to their great variety of quality wines and sharing the story of Pride and the unique position they are on, both up in the hills and with vineyards in two different counties. It was worth the drive. Thank you Nicole and Pride.“
“We just got back from Napa where we visited Rombauer Vineyards. Ryan was our host and he has been for several times. We go a few times a year and Rombauer is always at the top of our list. We would highly recommend it. Ryan makes it so much fun and he takes such good care of us. Thank you so much, love, the Bockhorsts“
“Erosion is a one stop shop for treats for all ages. Great selection of high quality beer, wine, and ice cream. If you're looking for rare beer or aged beer, be sure to stop at the bottle shop in the back! Staff are very friendly, and the small plates were perfect to have with the drinks.“
“Maxville winery is a hidden treasure. The wines are all so different, well balanced and smooth. The only Malbec and Cab Franc I have truly enjoyed. The Sauv Blanc was unlike any I had before! The property is beautiful, even on a rainy day. What really blew us out of the water was the hospitality--Dave was our host and so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. We are pretty new to the area and he was full of recommendations. He introduced us to Doug and the CEO Anthony who were both so down to earth and friendly. Although it was our first time at Maxville, we felt like we were amongst old friends.Chef Stefano was able to whip up some lunch for us very last minute--it took us back to Italy, though the tiramisu might have been better than anything we had over there! Our experience was so great we became members (first winery we've even been interested in joining as members!) and booked again for the 5 course Italian lunch with wine pairing.Maxville will be our go to place to take friends and visitors!“
“We initially did not intend to do any tasting here. We originally intended to go to another winery and then we decided to squeeze Hall in since it was included in our hotel stay. We knew nothing about Hall going in. We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the tasting room was as well as how much we enjoyed the wine. I'm trying to enjoy more red wine as opposed to white and this place gave me a huge push in that direction. The wine was great. Lastly, I will say how great Joego was. He was entertaining as well as giving us a lot of great information on their wine. In the end, we didn't end up going to that other winery at all but we were completely happy with that. Hall was the perfect winery to end our stay in Napa Valley“
“Great little restaurant in the valley. This place was recommended by several of our hosts at various tastings. Food was awesome. Everyone recommended we get the "fresh mozzarella thing" as an appetizer. It's not actually on the menu but we ordered and it was delicious. Also split a Tiramisu for desert, it was the best ever!“
“Finally, after two years living in St Helena, I found my way inside. Actually came in for a cup of coffee and, as it happens here rather often, it turned into a wine tasting event :) Wines are not to my taste and yet, those are good wines. Nevertheless, it is a definite *****. Plase has a unique home like feel, nice set up outside, clean and fun. However, the best asset they have is their staff. Great and very welcoming team. Thank you, guys.“
“Had a tasting at Raymond today and it was so nice. Laurel was our tour guide and she was so great! Super passionate and knowledgeable. Raymond hits all of the senses, taste, smell, hear, and touch. It was an EXPERIENCE. I don't want to give it all away. Please just come for yourself, you won't regret it!“
“Our 2nd time here. We got California Burger and Root Beer Float, both are delicious! Plenty of seating here, your hands may get dirty cause the burger is juicy, but there are outdoor sinks to wash hands. Restroom is clean. I know there are so many good restaurants in the area but if you don't have time to sit down and dine, this is the best option. Highly recommend.“
“We were at the end of the day. We passed by this place earlier, and I had commented on how beautiful it looks. On our way back to our B&B we passed this again, and I thought it deserved another look. So at 430, we turned in for a tasting, and I'm glad we did (I may be the only one). Personally, this is a brilliant "hidden gem" (it's on the main strip, so not so hidden). I did the premier tasting, and was in love after the first sip. The FS wines made me sigh in a way that I wish the whole world except me and the wine would disappear. My 3 compatriots were not of the same opinion, but their loss. I'd rather be joined by a glass of Flora's Legacy than any of them. I cautioned Jesse that I talk a lot (they close at 5), and she reassured me that it was ok (she didn't realise what she agreed to). She was amazing and stayed an extra hour til 6, and I am very grateful because the building and wine bottles are gorgeous, and the wine itself is amazing. Flora's Legacy chardonnay and Out of Sight cabsauv were the standouts for me. Now my compatriots, also oenophiles, were not fans, so YMMV, but I can unequivocally say that Jesse went above and beyond, and I loved the wines. À la Arnold, I will be back...“
“A nice hidden gem. Not a lot of seating and a smidge out of the way, but that didn’t stop us from signing up! We loved the wines and stories behind them, the team, and even the label designs. The lamb onsite are fun and the food was simple but good.“
“We were on our way from Napa to Calistoga and decided to stop by St. Helena for some shopping and to grab some breakfast. It was Saturday morning and we got there at about 11 am. We got so lucky because we were able to get seated right away, even though the place was packed. I wouldn't be surprised if there are long wait times, especially on the weekend. I think the fact that it was raining helped us to get seated quickly. So charming inside, absolutely no frills but you can tell by going in that they have that home cooked charm. I was surprised that their menu was large, quite a diner experience. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with fries. The portions were big and I just had half my sandwich and some fries at the diner since I was supposed to be eating light before going to the spa. The sandwich was delicious, simple but done right. Staff was friendly, bathroom was clean. The establishment does not have their own parking, street parking only. I highly recommend this place.“
“Nice find in St Helena. Combination of Indian and Nepal food. The tandoori and chicken tikka masala are very good. The dumplings has different seasonings so it is different than the othe dumplings. Nice friendly staff, you should call for reservation if you have a big group.“
“Outdoor and relax tasting. This tasting was very laid back and enjoying the tasting at our own pace. The Host was very cool and walked us through every tasting. I bought a few of their cabs they were very good. Don’t miss out and seat outside if possible.“
“Came here for dinner on our last night in Napa and I was so glad we came. The service was top notch and the patio seating was very calming and beautiful. Our cocktails were great and my husband got the wings appetizer which were yummy. I had the pasta dish with shrimp and I cleaned the plate clean. My husband loved his burger and we ended our meal with the carrot cake, which was perfect! I can't wait to come back!“
“Wow, what a great experience and surprise. These wines were delicious, and our hostess Lili was fantastic. She was so sweet, kind, knowledgeable, and fun! The wines are great but she made the experience. I highly recommend visiting and tasting here!!! This property is beautiful, and very welcoming. Joined the club and took a bunch of wines home! Can't wait to come back!“
“One of my favorite wineries in Napa Valley! I've been here a handful of times throughout the years, and TNV never fails to wow. VIEW: In my opinion, this is one of the best views in Napa. Up on the hill, you get to look out at the vineyards and feel transported. WINES: Single-vineyard cabs. Crisp chardonnay. Thoughtful blends made by expert winemakers. Can't go wrong! TOUR: I love their tour - getting to see the grounds and the cave is such a great experience. TASTING: Though not cheap, these are high-quality wines that really represent Napa's specialties. SERVICE: Simply incredible. Each time, our wine educator on our tour or tasting is the perfect mix of hospitality, sharing information, conversation, and catering to our interests. FOOD: We've had charcuterie boards and food here a few times, and it knocks our socks off each time. Again, not a cheap venture but well worth it!“
“Just picked up my lunch and the first sip to my long waited americano had a very bad after taste, in a figurative way because it was delicious. The lid you have doesn't fit the cup and as you can see on the picture, I had to come back to the office with a not very glamorous coffee stain on my blouse. Not mentioning the mess it left on my car's cup holder and the hassle carrying it because it didn't stop dripping. Not cool.I'm not sure if you'll keep being my favorite coffee place in Saint Helena because on top of this, you don't have the cherry almond scone anymore. The later is the worst.“
“One of the highlights of a recent visit to Napa was our trip to AuburnJames Winery. This was the smallest of the wineries we visited and it had much more of a down-home, intimate, family feel to it than others. Eric our wine ambassador carefully explained each offering but the best part of our visit was getting to converse with the chief winemaker and owner, Jim Frost. Jim was great to talk with and he spent time with each member of our tour group talking about how he got into the wine business, how they produce their wines and how each member of their team does everything from taking care of the vineyards to picking grapes. He was also great answering questions we had about things like why red wines continue to age in the bottle. AuburnJames (the Auburn part comes from the famous, classic automobile brand) is a bit off the beaten path but is well worth the visit, if not for their great wines, for the hospitality and the chance to experience the clear passion of the team for the art (and as Jim suggests, the science) of winemaking.“
“I previously visited this Napa Valley winery with my fiancé, and we both agree to the exceptional experience at Sullivan Rutherford Estate! The wine tours offered insights into the vineyards, and the wine tasting showcased their exquisite collection. The J.O. Sullivan Cabernet was by far, my favorite. Knowledgeable staff made the tour informative and enjoyable. I highly recommend adding this Napa winery to your list, if you consider yourself a wine enthusiast!“
“A Taste of Italy in the heart of St. Helena! My family and I just ate at Pizzeria Tra Vigne and it's a total Italian treasure! The handcrafted mozzarella is so delicious, and their pasta and pizza are some of the best food we have ever had in St. Helena. Oh, and save room for dessert - it's worth it. Plus, the service is incredible. Definitely, a must-visit in St. Helena for foodies!“
“This was me and my significant other's first time here at V. Sattui and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. As we arrived, we were greeted with a polite young gentleman who checked us in from the reservation I booked online. With a welcoming aura, he asked us if we were celebrating and from there I explained that it was my significant others birthday as well as her first wine tasting experience. As he finished checking us in, he offered us some of their signature chocolates which were free of charge and of course very delicious. We were seated in the barrel room, in which the other young gentleman who took care of us that afternoon gave us their list of wines to taste. We got to try some of their wines all of which are exclusively sold from their winery. Overall, a great experience and a fine atmosphere, with friendly staff, and a diverse selection of exquisite wine.“
“We had a wonderful wine tasting and cheese pairing on a quiet Friday with Red as our guide. Red was phenomenal and really made our tasting the best experience possible! She was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and personable. The location is beautiful, even on a rainy day! We will be back and requesting Red again!“
“Napa is now nearly hostile towards families. I get it. This is "adult Disneyland". But having found ourselves here with our kids for a marathon, and an hospitality industry was absolutely anything but hospitable to us because we had kids, Charles Krug nailed it. It's a cosy and sophisticated space with a bunch of low production estate wines. Perfect for adults. But they were also soooo accommodating to us with our kids. They found a space for us (at our request) that was somewhat isolated from the adults there so as not to bother them. Then Derek, our host, took our kids (8, 11) on a personal tour of the barrel room - relaying history and knowledge in terms they could understand, so that my wife and I could have some time to ourselves. Just amazing. Thanks Charles Krug for a great experience.“
“I was able to visit a few weeks ago on a rainy day in Helena in between wine tastings. I ordered the strawberry lemonade and a breakfast sandwich. Seating was limited but I was able to snag a table. Would recommend to anyone visiting Napa valley.“
“It is exactly what I dream about...I came from Indonesia....I grew up with AW foods...I always wondered that AW must be a nice classical restaurant in US...Accidentally I found this AW restaurant near Napa Valley....Goshh....I'm loving it...I finally taste the authentic Rootbeer Float in US...“
“On a recent trip to St. Helena we stayed at the Harvest Inn. The Harvest Table was located on the premises and within walking distance from our room. We had dinner here the first night and breakfast the next two mornings. All meals were very tasty and consisted of locally sourced items. The staff were attentive, friendly and made us feel at home. We loved eating our meals fireside which gave it a cozy vibe. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely come here again.“
“The hand pulled mozzarella. That is all that needs to be said. If you come here you MUST order the hand pulled mozzarella. All the other food was really good, but I cannot say enough about the mozzarella. Would recommend with the house made pesto.“
