Ian at Merryvale winery is a gem of a wine educator. His attentiveness, patience, and kindness create an inviting atmosphere for learning about wine. Ian's informative approach ensures that visitors leave with a deeper appreciation and understanding of Merryvale's wines.
This place is now in my list of top 5 wineries in Napa. Recently went with friends at the recommendation of a local distributor. Snacks were typical cheese, nuts, and crackers to keep your palate neutral during tastings. The atmosphere was so cool though. One of the oldest operations in Napa, and the wines are fantastic. They also sell Profile as their higher tier wine, but we loved the Merryvale wines for their excellent quality for the price.
