“We’ve been customers for 5 years now. Food is fresh, flavorful, eye popping, and perfect for sharing. We usually get one of their seasonal salads, a bruschetta or sandwich and polenta tots to start. For wine, ask for Keegan, he’s amazing.“

“Hall Wines was an experience beyond anything that I could have imagined. When we came to wine taste at Hall, our expectations were not set. I've been too many wineries in St Helena, but I've never been to Hall. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. The winery was stunningly, beautiful. Our server Alfredo Hernandez was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, inviting, and a superb host. I love talking about wanting and asking questions as I taste and both Alfredo and Tom were both a pleasure to engage with. We enjoyed absolutely everything in our experience. We enjoyed everything so much that I decided that after July of this year, I would like to switch my wine club over to Hall from another wine club that I have in Napa. Very much looking forward to our next visit!“

“At my first visit I decided to become a member. The tasting room is very artsy, the grounds are small but nice to walk. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Additionally, you get free monthly access to other tasting rooms at couple of nearby wineries.

Wine taste is very subjective, so that's a bit more difficult to rate. What one person likes might be unpleasant to another. I've been at wineries where I don't like any of their wines, as well as one where I liked 9 out of 10 tastings. At Raymond, I like several of their reds, and all of their whites. Over all a very pleasant tasting experience worth repeating here and there.“

We enjoyed the fabulous wines and delicious food pairings while learning so much about the region and terroir. “Beautiful vineyard with a killer view, interesting host, complex wines. My complaint is the shipping. Wine country vineyards depend on climate: rain, temperature, sun. My friend and I bought a case of wine, which was shipped in styrofoam inside a recyclable cardboard box. Other wineries shipped our wine in compostable interiors inside cardboard boxes. Do better to survive. I’m stuck with Pound of styrofoam that i can’t recycle. Other vineyards have found a solution.“

“This was our last visit for the trip which I somewhat regretted that we didn’t do it earlier in the week. We scheduled a private tasting and the amount of amazing big cabs they brought out for us to sample was impressive. To the point it became comical with the amount of glasses on the table for 6 people. We didn’t get a full count but it was between 50-60 glasses. Definitely worth the stop and be prepared to sample high end wines.“

We were treated to the Sherwin Family story of renaissance from destruction in 2020 to a complete rebuild in 2023. As a Veteran, the patriotic flair of the vineyard was particularly attractive and the bottle itself is spectacular! Highly recommend this Vineyard!“

“As we made our way through the Silverado trail, we stopped at the beautiful Quintessa Vineyard. This place was elegant, classy and inviting.
We were offered waters before starting our tour and he lead us up a few sets of stairs to the special upgraded tasting room. When we got there, it was breathtaking. The view of the endless rows of vines that expanded in all directions was breathless. I was in shock that WE get to taste in this beautiful space with this amazing view. Our tour guide Gregory was so friendly and gave us a memorable experience. Going through each wine and sharing us wonderful stories. We had some snacks to much on to accompany our wines. He was so kind to take photos for us afterwards and shared some special wines with us at the end. All in all, we are so glad we chose to do the upgrade because you don’t get to sit in basically is what I would call a modern treehouse and drink so delicious wines!“

David was a great guide and transported us through the history of this part of the vineyard, making us feel like part of the timeline. He explained the characteristics of the wine with such grace that it was impossible not to enjoy the experience.“
