“Can’t say enough good things about this taqueria. Ordered food for a summer party we hosted. We ordered food for 40 people. Marco’s communication for the planning was perfect! He always got right back to me and answered all my many questions. The food arrived in a warming box and we were able to easily open and have the foil trays ready for our guests. I bought some warming platters on Amazon and it worked great to keep the food warm. We had three types of meat, rice and beans and chips and dips and onions and pickled jalepenos and tortillas. Marco provided enough of the sauces and guac, etc. Now for the food…..It was delicious! Especially loved the carnitas. Our guests raved about the food. I highly recommend this restaurant. They did an awesome job all around!“

We shared four dishes and everything was deliicous - paella with amazing flavors, Cachapa with hanger steak, freshly baked rolls with Meyer lemon olive oil for dipping and a Latin wedge salad with oranages, beautiful hers and crunchy Chicharron crumbles. I want to keep all of the staff as friends, they are so warm and welcoming. Oh yeah, wines are awsome!! The focus on Pino Noir, but have other options as well. We always get their Rose when released. “The first time I visited Sonoma County, I remember thinking that anyone lucky enough to live here must have done something very right in life. The soft hills, endless vineyards, and golden light feel almost unreal — like stepping into one of those old Windows screensavers, except somehow even more beautiful in person.

What I love about places like Hook & Ladder Winery is that they don’t need to impress you with grand castles or luxury. Unlike Napa, there’s something quieter here. No elaborate stories, no need for extravagance — just good soil, good weather, and honest wine made with care.

The longer I spend in Sonoma, the more I understand that true abundance has little to do with what money can buy. It’s in the Mediterranean breeze across the vineyards, the richness of the earth, the way a glass of wine can slow down an afternoon, and the way nature gently reminds you what really matters.

After my husband passed away, much of the life we built together was taken from me. But one thing no one can take is the gratitude I feel for the love we shared and for the way he opened my eyes to places like this. He brought me here, and in some way, he taught me how to see beauty even after loss.

I love the setup they have , grab a tray , order , they give you pickled vegetables and miso soup. Find a table and within minutes your food is out! I order the chicken yaki udon ( fried udon noodles ), my husband orders the house special yaki udon which comes with beef , chicken and shrimp.
