“Chef and owner, Carlos, is amazing! He once opened the restaurant for us and our friends, Grant & Yoka, when they had mistakenly taken our reservation on a day they were closed. We showed up, they realized the error, and he graciously opened the doors and cooked up a storm for us. His cuisine is so flavorful, done with finesse and a true passion for cookery. “We had a great prix fixe meal of 3 courses but the also offer 5 courses. No bad selections except for the cauliflower steak. I don’t think that is worth a steak or shrimp pasta but that is my opinion. Outdoor dining is available and they have heaters by the wall of sliding windows that open up totally he outside. Awesome deserts. I had the cookie butter cheesecake. I died and went to heaven.“

“Sept 18, 2025 my wife and I were on our 1st full day of California, Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Petaluma area- WINE Country after traveling from Ohio. We were given the recommendation to visit the Harvest Moon winery after visiting Balletto Vineyards- which was exceptional. We drove in and were the only ones on the patio as work- grape crushing- was going on outside. The beautiful area appeared to be smaller and more intimate and not as commercialized as Balletto which suits us fine. We sat at the outside tables and watched three guys at the crush pad unload bins full of grapes into the crusher. We were in no hurry so we watched the interesting process intently while relaxing. After a short time the proprietor Randy came off the skid steer or tractor and greeted us. We went inside the tasting room and he proceeded to explain what they were doing outside in the tents and the about the wine flights we would enjoy. I had the red flight while my wife( Beth) had the sweet dessert white flight. We sat outside at the tables, enjoyed everyone of the wines in the flights, enjoyed watching the process of crushing the grapes, taking the stems and extra(s) in one bin and checking out the bins full of crushed grapes...with dry ice.. I had to have an explanation of this which Randy did. We had an very enjoyable experience in the totally relaxing atmosphere, while Randy as the working man he is did his thing to make the wines we were enjoying. During a break from crushing the grapes Randy asked us our thoughts of the flights and said he had an extra taste he would bring out for us. He took care of another couple that had arrived for a tasting and had his son bring us some chocolate the was to be paired with our extra tasting. With the extra wine tasting and the chocolate which did pair very well with both the red and dessert flight, we decide to take a couple bottles home with us. Randy- I sit here writing this review as I had popped the signed bottle of Malbec I brought home to enjoy and to remember our time at Harvest Moon Winery. “We were in Healdsburg for appointments. Finding a good place for breakfast was on our to-do list. Lots of good options. Today, Acorns Cafe looked like the best choice. We found a calm and peaceful place. The menu wasn't deep with options. What was there was excellent. Order at the counter and it's delivered to your table. Staff were friendly and helpful. We e joked our selections. Portions were fair. Felt a little expensive, $20 per person.“

“When we stayed in the Sonoma/Healdsburg area, our resort concierge recommended that we try Gary Farrell as one of our wineries to experience while we were in the area. This was our first stop and it was an amazing winery- only open for reservations only (no walk-ins).

We arrived a few minutes before our tasting and were warmly greeted by the host staff and shown to our table, overlooking the beautiful Russian River hillside area. The views from the winery are absolutely outstanding.

We learned from our host that the owners of the Gary Farrell Winery don't own any of the vineyards, they only procure the grapes and they're the wine maker. The wines were all drastically different and some of the best Chardonnay's we have had on any of our tastings we have done in Napa.

The host was so knowledgable and very warm and friendly. We went away with a new found appreciation of their winery and purchased a bottle of wine to take home with us for a Christmas gift. Gary Farrell is truly an amazing winery and I highly recommend trying it if you're in the area! We look forward to returning!“

“Porter Creek Winery was such a peaceful gem and one of the highlights of our wine country trip. The team (Crystal) went above and beyond to accommodate us, even staying a little late so we could enjoy the experience — and we’re so grateful they did!

The setting was absolutely stunning — quiet, serene, and surrounded by natural beauty. It was the kind of view that makes you want to take a deep breath and stay a while. The wines were just as memorable, especially the Zinfandels — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.

To top it all off, we were greeted by Poppy, the sweetest dog who made the whole experience even more charming. Between the warm hospitality, the incredible wines, and the peaceful ambiance, it was the perfect way to wind down our day.

“I am absolutely enchanted by the Korbel estate and by their delicious, port, bubbly, and brandy. The deli is delightful, chock full of delightful sweets and savory sides and sandwiches. I wandered in and never wanted to leave. The view! The rich history! Did you know that the train stopped at Korbel in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s? I wish I could jump back in time. The ladies at the tasting room are my new best friends too. I was so cozy by the fire, sipping a rare rouge 🍷 Defnitely don’t skip this wonderland on your visit. If you’re local, be a member!“

“Hook & Ladder was a really enjoyable stop and felt like the definition of a family-run winery experience.

Full disclosure: I’m more of a craft beer person while my wife is the wine enthusiast, but this ended up being one of those easy, low-pressure tasting experiences that makes wine country fun for everyone.

The tasting was reasonably priced and refreshingly simple, no complicated reservation process or over-the-top formality. Just walk in, sit down, and enjoy.

The indoor tasting space had a unique personality, with fire and police patches from surrounding agencies decorating the walls along with shirts from departments across the region. It added a personal, community-focused feel that made the space memorable and different from more polished winery tasting rooms.

Most seating leans toward an outdoor patio setup, but since it was cold during our visit we stayed inside and still had a great experience.

While we didn’t take any bottles home this time (we’ve actually seen their wine at Costco before), it was a fun and relaxed stop, perfect if you want a tasting experience without the complexity or pressure that sometimes comes with larger wineries.

My partner and 2 friends and I had lunch with the team and got to learn so much about the winemaking process and how Limerick utilizes regenerative farming techniques to not only take care of 115 year old vines, but to make some of the best wine in Sonoma County! While I appreciate some attention- it was over the top with more than appropriate amount of attention. We were perfectly satisfied with what we ordered, and between two of us it cost around $84 whilst a dinner of two AYCE's at Paradise Sushi would be around $100 and much lower quality.
