“I have been going to River’s end restaurant for almost two decades and have always loved the experience. This time, I decided to stay a few days at the new Home collection lodging and the getaway was completely remarkable. I will make sure to come back more often in order to unplug and relax completely in this paradisiacal getaway.“

“The setting alone makes the restaurant at Timber Cove worth visiting. The ocean views are incredible, especially around sunset, and the whole space has a cozy, laid back vibe that fits the Sonoma Coast perfectly.

The food was good overall, and a couple of dishes really stood out. My favorites were the grilled octopus and the ricotta gnocchi. The octopus was perfectly cooked with great flavor, and the gnocchi was rich without feeling too heavy. A few of the other dishes didn't quite live up to the price, but there was still plenty to enjoy.

Service was friendly and welcoming, although things moved a little slower than expected. It wasn't a deal breaker since the view gave us an excuse to relax, but it's something to keep in mind if you're on a schedule.

“We love staying at the Bodega Dunes Campground and walking to Terrapin Creek Cafe for dinner. The charred octopus salad is an amazing appetizer, which complimented our seafood stew and roast duck entrees. The waitress was wonderful and helped us select delicious wines. Be sure to reserve a table.“

“GF enjoys their clan chowder, I went with a pulled pork sandwich. Was very messy but overall a tasty eat. They don't have a fryer (!) so no fries or fish and chips but they seem to have other good options. I wouldn't call them cheap but they aren't expensive either. Our first waiter was Ben and oh how we loved him so we always asked for him when we would go in. Sadly, Ben moved out of the area but then we got Danny! Another fantastic server and now we always ask for her! Can't vouch for the other servers but my guess would be that they are all good! Susie is the owner, and she is wonderful! She always mingles with her guests and even gets many of them up dancing! I hope she knows how much her regulars appreciate her! I'm so glad we found this place because we do not live out there. We live in Santa Rosa, and I must say it is always worth the trip out there for a great evening!“

“We stop and eat here every time we come to Guerneville. It’s a great place for food and drinks before/after a hike in the redwoods. The staff are always really nice and there’s outside seating near the river to enjoy the sunshine.“
