“Absolutely delicious and visually gorgeous food! The food was fresh and incredibly flavorful. A new favorite place to eat and shop in Healdsburg!! Excellent friendly service and great ambience. I am now on a mission to learn how to cook vegetable based foods like that!“
“Top notch and the perfect setting for a getaway.“

“We had a snafu with our reservation but the Singlethread team made it right. Now as to the actual meal night, the experience was flawless. The service was impeccable - welcoming, interested and thoughtful. And the food... simply draw dropping to look at and with incredible flavors that bring out the best in the underlying ingredients. Singlethread is clearly at the top of the game and is one of the rare destination restaurants where instead of checking it off our list, we are circling it because we want to come back.“

“I went to Acorn Cafe expecting a nice, responsible lunch. I left in a food coma, questioning every healthy choice I’ve ever made, and honestly? Zero regrets.
The place has serious range — breakfast, brunch, lunch, indoor seating, outdoor seating with an actual fireplace (fancy), and a friendly & professional staff.
I ordered the fried chicken sandwich against my better judgment — I usually treat deep-fried anything like a suspicious email attachment — and it was a full personality shift. Absolutely delicious. It came with homemade togarashi potato chips, which is not a combination I asked for but is one I will now demand for the rest of my life.
My dining companion got the breakfast burger, which somehow contains an egg AND hash browns INSIDE the burger, like the chef looked at breakfast and lunch and said “why not both, simultaneously, in your hand.” Perfection. Structurally impressive. Emotionally overwhelming.
The turkey clubhouse club also showed up and showed out — and bonus, some proceeds go to the local Boys & Girls Club, so you can feel slightly virtuous while inhaling bacon.
Verdict: We’re going back. We have breakfast entrees left to conquer, and frankly, I think Acorn Cafe has earned the right to ruin more of my meals.“

“Definitely one my favorite restaurants, but the food was off just a bit last night. The Pastelitos de papa were on the cold side and didn't seem to be made to order. Also, had the petrale sole special and the beans in the topping were also cold. Carlos wasn't there that night and it was my only visit where the food wasn't perfect. I'm sure it will be great next time!“
“A very lovely vineyard, especially if you enjoy sparkling wines. No pressure service, plenty of information and answered all our questions. Our teenagers were able to hang out while we enjoyed a flight and a glass of wine. Beautiful setting to enjoy the vineyard. Loved it!“
“Visited Thomas George Estates recently and had a wonderful time exploring the location in the Russian River Valley. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting with kind attentive guides walking through the tasting room experience. It is one of the best local spots to visit if you are in the area since it feels so community oriented. The regional setting made for a peaceful outing without feeling rushed or commercial. Will definitely return.“

“Had lunch for the first time here today, a delicious one! The menu is huge, so I look forward to trying so many of their authentic dishes. Happy to have them in Healdsburg. -Ali Story“
“We had a fantastic tasting with Josef today. The Chardonnay, Pinots, and Zinfandels were all SO enjoyable and the setting couldn’t be more perfect. The view, service, wine, and charcuterie all made for an unforgettable experience… thank you!!! p.s. Josef, we checked out Jason & the Scorchers— those guys rock!“
“We met some friends here on a lovely but cool spring Sunday afternoon. We had such a lovely experience that we were the last visitors to leave, but the staff couldn’t be more patient. We had the charcuterie board with our tasting, and it was the most unique and delicious collection of local items. Both the wines were unique, flavorful, and reasonably priced. We loved it so much that the two couples each decided to join their club. While we went in loving the Sauvignon Blanc, we were most impressed with their Zins. They also offered our non drinker with a delicious sparkling water. We will return!“
“Experience is superb! This family winery is large sale but still very close to their hearts. Katie, Hank, Linda and Harry were amazing hosts. Their winemakers were very busy yet still open to answer questions. Highly reccomend!“
“Porter Creek Winery was such a peaceful gem and one of the highlights of our wine country trip. The team (Crystal) went above and beyond to accommodate us, even staying a little late so we could enjoy the experience — and we’re so grateful they did!
The setting was absolutely stunning — quiet, serene, and surrounded by natural beauty. It was the kind of view that makes you want to take a deep breath and stay a while. The wines were just as memorable, especially the Zinfandels — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
To top it all off, we were greeted by Poppy, the sweetest dog who made the whole experience even more charming. Between the warm hospitality, the incredible wines, and the peaceful ambiance, it was the perfect way to wind down our day.
Highly recommend Porter Creek for anyone looking for a relaxing, intimate tasting experience with a personal touch.“
“Sean was delightful and educational during our wine tasting. The wines are superb, we loved learning about the terroir from which they are grown, and the different personalities that each winemaker brings to the table. Absolutely worth a visit when in Healdsburg“
“Outstanding experience at the Headelsburg tasting room, thanks to Tony, our primary server, and Joe. Experienced exceptional wines and we learned so much about the varietals and history of the vineyard. Great conversation, too. Williamson was the highlight of our short stay in Headelsburg.“
“This was a fantastic outing for our group of 7. The seating for our tasting was in a covered area the surrounded by the growing vines. Our tasting consisted of 5 varieties. Andy gave us a truly informative history and background of the vineyard and each wine that we tasted. It became apparent the love and passion behind each wine that the winery produced. LImerick Lanes Cellars is really a boutique winery as they produce only a small number of barrels for each variety. It was truly a wonderful experience.“
“Such a relaxing environment and amazing wines“

“Healdsburg's best kept secret is Otoro Sushi, but thankfully it doesnt stop at just sushi. I happened upon this restaurant after going to my favorite place to shop for landscaping sculptures and misc. decor in Healdsburg, Garrett Hardware which happens to Otoro. Today, on my way home from UCSF we decided to try it out and to say we were in love at first bite would not be an understatement. We started off with a bowl of their soup which was delightful followed by a serving of tempura vegetables 😋😜 and we could not get enough or pick which one was our favorite. Then onto the main course one Bento Box with Teriyaki Chicken and its sides along with our sushi which consisted of 2- California Rolls, 2-Shrimp Tempura Rolls, 1-Yum Yum Roll 😋 (My Favorite) It came by its name for a reason and finally a Jalapeño Bomb Roll which is going home to the boy . 👦The only thing I forgot to add is I cant wait to go back.“
“We spent a most enjoyable hour-plus not only tasting some great spirits (the rye whiskey and the coffee liqueur were stand-outs) but talking with Daniel about Alley 6's history, distilleries generally, where they get some of their less well known botanicals, and much more -- a great visit and a reminder that you have to go craft if you want to find some of the best whiskeys out there. Highly recommended!“
“We had a great experience and highly recommend a visit! Our host/guide, Season, was terrific! She was very knowledgeable, approachable and engaging! We left with a new appreciation for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines! The beautiful setting, combined with the warm hospitality, made for a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon of wine tasting! We'd return when we visit Sonoma again!“
“The tasting room is housed in a lovely, broad building with walls of glass and attractive architecture. There is a raised back patio, but I was glad to see that tastings were held on the front lawn and garden this hot Saturday afternoon. It offers shadier spots, and I chose one along the path that felt like my own cozy corner among the plants and butterflies.
It was still hot under the umbrella! But the tasting room staff kept my water carafe filled.
A few wines stood out among this tasting of five, with two bonus wines offered by the staff: Mazzocco Stuhlmuller Chardonnay Reserve 2022 and Mazzocco Seaton Zinfandel Reserve 2022.“
“We had an awesome tasting yesterday at this amazing winery. Robin was very friendly and excited about the different types of wines. She explained all the options throughly. We can not wait to get back home to try our selections for different dinners. Thanks again for everything.“
“Love the atmosphere and champagnes !! Joined my first wine club with them !!“
“Fun time. Awesome grounds too.“
“Jordan Winery is the kind of place that reminds you wine country is about far more than what’s in the glass. Beautiful without being precious, refined without losing its soul, Jordan brings together exceptional wine, serious food, and an estate that begs to be explored. The hospitality is warm, the setting is spectacular, and every detail feels intentional without ever feeling forced.
This isn’t just a winery visit—it’s a proper taste of Sonoma, served with a little French soul. Come hungry, stay awhile, and let Jordan do the rest.“
“One sip and you are hooked! What else can you say! Love love love“
“Such an amazing experience! We had the best time at Gary Farrell. The winery is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views, and everything just felt so relaxed and welcoming.
Michael was our host, and he was fantastic! You could tell how passionate he is about the wines, and he shared so much information without it ever feeling like a lecture. We all learned a ton, asked lots of questions, and he made the whole tasting fun and interactive.
One of my favorite little touches was that they had blankets out for guests. We had an earlier tasting, and it was a little chilly, so having those waiting for us was perfect. It’s such a small thing, but it really shows they think about the guest experience.
The wines were incredible, the charcuterie paired perfectly, and our whole group left saying how much we loved it. If you’re in Sonoma and looking for a winery with amazing wine, beautiful scenery, and genuinely wonderful people, definitely put Gary Farrell on your list. We’ll absolutely be back!“
“J Vineyards & Winery offers a beautiful and relaxing outdoor tasting experience. The setting is peaceful and elegant, making it the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the wines. The sparkling wines were especially impressive, crisp, beautifully balanced, and very enjoyable. The service was knowledgeable and attentive without feeling rushed. A lovely destination for anyone who appreciates excellent sparkling wine in a gorgeous Wine Country setting.“
“Beautiful scenery, great wines & the staff are amazing with great service and knowledge! Really had a fabulous time there!🍷“
“My brother made reservations while we were going to a few wineries in the area.
The day we went was a tad rainy but the weather made the experience more special.
We were greeted by a cute grey tabby while we waited for our table.
Once seated we were welcomed with delicious wines and great ambience.
Slowly other wine tasters left and our group was the last.
Super charming and personalable winery.
Not to mention the wine will blow your socks off.
Highly recommend!“
“We had the pleasure of visiting Mauritson winery last week. What a great find. We were not familiar with their wines, but another winery staff member suggested it based on our interests. Make an appointment and give it a try if you enjoy good Zinfandels. You will not be disappointed.“
“We stopped by on a warm Saturday afternoon, without a reservation and were pleased to be seated right away. From the moment you pull in, you feel at home. Bocce in the courtyard, pups on site, a water view among the vines. The balcony was shaded with umbrellas allowing the sun to warm the soul. The wines are part of the Wilson family, and we were so pleased with all of the pinot noirs. We could have spent the entire afternoon there.“
“Located towards the back of an industrial park in Healdsburg sits a hidden gem. When you’re tired of wine tasting or if you truly love a unique experience come and try some amazing craft distilled liquor.
Tim and Shennon make some of the finest spirits I have ever tried.
The Highlight for me on this visit was the Hobs Heavy barrel aged gin, it’s truly exceptional.
The Sherry cask and Port finish bourbons are nice additions to their lineup. They have a wonderful single barrel 4 year 4 grain mash as well.“
“We’ve been members at Talty Winery for over 10 years, and there’s a reason we keep coming back. 🍷 This place is more than a winery—it’s a home away from home. Michael, the owner and winemaker, makes every visit feel personal. His passion for Zinfandel shines through not only in the wine (which is consistently incredible), but in the warmth and hospitality he shows to every guest. The Zins are some of our all-time favorites, and sharing a glass with Michael always feels like catching up with an old friend. Talty isn’t just a stop on the wine trail—it’s a tradition for us. ♥️“
“Came here on a Tuesday around noon to try the "block stars" tasting flight. I ended up being the only customer till about 3 and had a great time getting to know Pam in the tasting room and learning more about the history of the vineyards! The wine was great (especially the sparkling pinot noir) and their location is perfect for sitting out on the back patio to enjoy the vineyards and mountains. Definitely a great stop!“

“We had a great tasting experience with Lana. The setting is very tranquil and relaxed, the wine is excellent, and the hosts are warm and personable. It’s quite literally off the beaten path by a few miles, but that’s part of what makes a visit special.“
“Favorite wine tasting I’ve done to date. Our server was excellent, and the grounds are beautiful. Wandering around the gardens was a fun bonus, as was saying hi to Winston the pig (their mascot). Get a charcuterie board to accompany your tasting; well worth it!“

“Phenomenal hospitality in a gorgeous vineyard setting. We had a private tasting poolside with generous pours overlooking the expansive vineyard. Very down-to-earth and knowledgeable owners. Highly recommend stopping by for a tasting and some bottles.“
“Very casual and laid back vibe here. The owner and his daughter attended to us and we had a good conversation along the way. Lot of good tips for the local area were given as well. Wine was good, cheese was good. We would recommend and would go back. We used a Groupon for our first visit and it worked out perfectly.“
“Comstock Wines is set in an absolutely beautiful location. We had a seated tasting with Erik, who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wines. He made the entire experience both memorable and enjoyable. I learned a lot about wine, and his enthusiasm truly made the experience unforgettable! We loved the wines so much that my father-in-law even bought half a case to be shipped home to Florida. All in all, it was a fantastic experience.“
“We had a great experience here. The tasting was primarily Zinfandels, which is very common at wineries in Dry Creek Valley, but all of them were very good considering the tasting fee was $25 and they waived it with a bottle purchase.
What really made our visit special though was the tasting area had a beautiful view of the valley and the staff were incredibly friendly as well as knowledgeable about the wines and history of the winery. The patio is dog friendly and they have a lawn area if the dogs need to relieve themselves which makes sense once you hear from the staff how much the owners love dogs.
The experience was the perfect balance of not being overly pretentious while also maintaining the class and scenic beauty you expect at a winery. We will absolutely be coming back again.“

“I’ve had a lot of Japanese food in Sonoma and across the Bay Area, but places that deliver this level of consistent quality are few and far between. This restaurant is the kind of spot where you think you know your sushi and your izakaya—then they quietly serve something that reminds you what “mastery of the basics” really looks like.
The ingredients are so fresh they might as well have swum over to say hi. The knife work is clean and precise, the seasoning calibrated like it was measured with a ruler. Every dish arrives looking good, smelling even better, and tasting exactly as it should—leaving you with zero room to nitpick.
What’s even more impressive is the owner’s decade-plus commitment to doing things the right way. In an era where everyone’s chasing the next gimmick or “innovation,” he’s chosen instead to refine one thing until it’s perfect. That kind of craftsmanship sounds romantic, but in practice it’s harder than unagi on a busy night.
Put simply: this isn’t the type of place that relies on hype to get you in the door. It’s the type you finish eating at, then quietly add to your personal “lifelong list of Japanese restaurants you’ll keep coming back to.” If you’re in the Bay Area and craving a Japanese meal that won’t let you down, this is it—no fanfare, just understated excellence.“
“Wonderful service, location, and historically excellent wines.“
“What a beautiful vineyard and what great wine with great service!! Was so fun discussing wine and travel with Kent who was such a great host! The most delicious Chardonnay and appreciate the cheese/food pairing ideas! GREAT recommendations!“
“We visited Blanchard Family Wines January 2024. Mark (one of the owners ) spent well over an hour with us talking about their wines and about how he and his brother came to own a winery. We were so impressed with him and the wine! So much so we joined their club and have enjoyed every bottle. We don't claim to be wine cononosours but we have tasted enough wine to know the good from the bad. We love their wine and measure everyone else's against Blanchard. Mark is always attentive and helpful. We feel that we've joined more than a wine club. Thanks Mark for making our wine drinking so enjoyable.“

“We had a great prix fixe meal of 3 courses but the also offer 5 courses. No bad selections except for the cauliflower steak. I don’t think that is worth a steak or shrimp pasta but that is my opinion. Outdoor dining is available and they have heaters by the wall of sliding windows that open up totally he outside. Awesome deserts. I had the cookie butter cheesecake. I died and went to heaven.“
