Jordan Vineyard & Winery Reviews
We did the wine tour and tasting at Jordan. Honestly blown away. The property is absoltuelty stuning. Jordan Vineyard & Winery is a renowned winery in Sonoma, California, known for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The winery offers a stunning French chateau-style property, where visitors can enjoy a guided tour and tasting experience. The Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted with a focus on balance and elegance, allowing for a gradual, graceful evolution in the bottle.
The winery's commitment to food-friendly wines is evident in the delicious pairings featured during the tasting. Visitors consistently praise the excellent hospitality, with knowledgeable and welcoming staff who provide an informative and enjoyable experience. The tour includes a short visit around the main buildings, a walk through the cellars with cement "egg" barrels, and a private dining area accessed through a secret door in the library.
The setting is enchanting, reminiscent of the French countryside. The wines are crisp and delicious, including a non-buttery Chardonnay and a variety of cabernets that taste pleasantly different without a bland vintage. The experience is enhanced by engaging guides who share the vineyard's history and winemaking process, including aging in French Oak and concrete eggs. The owner sometimes joins the tour, adding a special touch.
The winery supports non-profits and groups who help those pursuing educational advancement. Visitors can earn points through a rewards program based on dollars spent, with stays on the estate being affordable and luxurious. Many guests leave with wines from both the original and new winemakers, eager to return, especially to stay in on-site chateaus. Overall, Jordan Vineyard & Winery offers a delightful, romantic experience with excellent wine, food pairings, and warm hospitality.
