Mazzocco Sonoma offers an amazing tasting and wines overall, with a unique experience of seeing small planes and helicopters. The tasting room is housed in a lovely, broad building with walls of glass and attractive architecture. Tastings are held on the front lawn and garden, offering shadier spots that feel like cozy corners among the plants. The staff is friendly and welcoming, keeping water carafes filled.
Wines that stood out include Mazzocco Stuhlmuller Chardonnay Reserve 2022 and Mazzocco Seaton Zinfandel Reserve 2022. Even on a busy weekend without reservations, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, setting up the tasting room and outdoor space perfectly for a large crowd. Guests can try many delicious wines at various tasting stations.
The winery is beautiful, in a great location, and the hosts are super laid back. The wines are excellent, especially for those who enjoy big bold reds or more restrained styles. Mazzocco also has nice values on cases of wine. The customer service is phenomenal, with staff willing to share information and let guests try anything that is open.
