“OMG! Tasting by the Sea. Says it all. A beautiful place to stop and enjoy a bit of wine or have a beer. The Russian river ends its journey into the Pacific Ocean. Nature's best, water sunshine and wildlife. Glorious.”
“One of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever hadUpdate 5 years later: I still think about this coffee (it was the pour over) to this day. Context: I was cycling down the west coast on my own and had hit a stretch of rain, misery and loneliness. Dare I say, this cup of coffee restored my soul.”
“Went on a day trip up the coast from San Francisco, stopped at many places by Ocean Cove Bar & Grill has a very inviting atmosphere and you get a great view of the ocean, a nice dining area and a fantastic set up with the bar and the view of the ocean behind it. The staff was incredibly welcoming.”
“We were celebrating my partner's 84th birthday so we wanted a special experience and Terapin Creek was the perfect choice. I had the seafood stew and my partner had the steak - both were fabulous. The service was excellent. Our waiter explained things very well and was very kind. We sat in the alcove (enclosed porch) which was perfect because my partner is sensitive to noise. The candle on our dessert order was a very nice touch. Thank you for a wonderful birthday experience!”
“The Merus wine dinner was amazing. The chef at the Farmhouse Trever Anderson menu was pure perfection. Every course was creation unto it's self. The dinner was without doubt the best we have had seen the departure of Steve Litke a few years back. And then there was the wine. !!!!”
“This place is very romantic. The service is phenomenal and the food is delicious. Especially the banana pudding. I've never had banana pudding this good, ever! My boyfriend from Alabama says the potato salad was like his mom's (may she rest in peace). I'm getting my own banana pudding next time, I'm not sharing!Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options, just ask and they'll do their best to please.”
“A perfect cafe, if such a thing can exist. Warm, wonderful, artful space with cool art and a great outdoor space. A great Skatepark right next to the cafe surrounded by redwood trees. The owners are the sweetest couple, the food is SO GOOD. Try the Beach Laffa, you’ll be glad you did. This is the only place in a 50 mile radius that can make a perfect Oatmilk cappuccino.”
“When you pull up and look at the building, it's a bit of a head-scratcher. It's very non-de script, with a couple apartments as part of it. The small restaurant is upstairs, and Larry, the owner, is as nice as can be. Larry is hard to miss -- he's the 7' tall guy in the room. :-) I went for prime rib night and both the food and drinks were great. It's a pleasant little space with a dedicated bar on one side.”
“Family run catering and take out business in Bodega Bay. Food is outstanding. The owners are genuine and very nice people. The place deserves everyone's patronage. We purchased almost every item on the menu. Everything is fresh and high quality. The hummus is world class. Previous, the best hummus I ever had was "on the deck" at Ku de Ta Bali. Huria's is the only hummus in the US that rivals it. The freshly baked pita bread is even better. Check it out!”
“Lana did an amazing job creating our perfect carrot cake. Our communication was thru email as we did not live in the area. She made our 1 year wedding anniversary cake/gender reveal cake all in one. It was perfect for the two of us. Super delicious and very elegant. We loved it! Thank you Lana!”
“These people from owners to staff are so kind and accommodating you can’t wait to go back. The gluten free muffins are incredible and so is the quiche! That’s all I’ve tried so far because it’s so good!Dietary restrictions: The wide variety of gluten free choices are very much appreciated!”
“We stopped here on our way back to SF and it was totally worth it. The menu has a great selection and everyone was happy. The grilled oysters with butter and garlic were really remarkable. We will come back someday!”
“Fastest & tastiest place I've been to in years. After I ordered & gave a 5% tip. After they gave us our food, about a minute after paying, we tasted the pure gold that this company issues to their customers. My family loved this place & I became their hero for the day for showing them this beautiful business. Parking is a hassle is about it on a busy day, luckily on a Friday at about 1200 it was not as packed. Defiantly will return if we r ever in this area with friends & family & will recommend to them as well.Parking: U have to park down the street, about a block, if 8 spots are open. Or accross the street, within the fire lane, which is about 6 spots if u get their early enough so it becomes 1st come, first served.Wheelchair accessibility: There is one disability spot available in the front & has a ramp at ground level leading to where you order your food.”
“Some of the best coffee cake I’ve ever had. Clearly fresh made, tangy, not to sweet, and perfectly spiced and filling. Coffee was good too! The woman working was very nice and efficient. Would recommend if you’re in Bodega Bay!”
“Steven made us some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a long time. What a knowledgeable and authentic human!! The food was absolutely delicious and we had a great night. I definitely recommend pork belly tacos, chicken tinga tacos, and pozole.”
“So delicious! Incredible quality sandwiches! Perfect to take home or enjoy outside on the picnic tables. Definitely recommend ? ? ?Kid-friendliness: Several sandwich options with chips.”
“Tried for the first time today! Ordered takeout, but next time will dine in. Unassuming place in a mini strip mall on the main drag in Guerneville. Friendly people, clean, good aromas... Placed my order over the phone - fries, the crispy chick'n sandwich and the blackberry-sage lemonade. I know better than to order fries to go when I have more than a 5-minute drive back to my destination, but I took a chance. I typically like my fries a little under done and almost requested this but figured I'd see how they are cooked w/o that request. Special request for the sandwich was to replace the cucumber with pickles and put the sauce on the side. I asked what comes on the sandwich and the nice man said, lettuce, tomato, onion and cucumber. Onion is probably *the* most essential ingredient of any sandwich for me.... and I'm mad-crushing on pickles on sandwiches these days. The fries were all really hard, save for a few. Cooked well done, but not killed. Just crispier than I like (i seek out the soggy/squishy fries before all others). They are thin fries like you'd find at a popular fast food chain (starts with an M), and that was appealing to me. Got back to the office and found no onion and no pickle on the sandwich. But there was cucumber, tomato, and a mixed green lettuce (spinach, arugula). The crispy oyster mushroom was really quite tasty. The batter used has a whole lot of flavor. And the sauce is not nearly as spicy as I was expecting, which is a good thing. I like spice, but wasn't sure what level this would be, and I wasn't hankering for really spicy. I was bummed about the lack of my special requests, BUT - the sandwich was really good. And I do like those other ingredients. Just was craving that pickle flavor and the onion crunch. No bigs. The lemonade was really good, if but a touch on the sweeter side. I'd get that again. But I'm curious about the other lemonades too. So, maybe this week I'll head out there and try again, in-house! :D Didn't get a pic, but the food was packaged in compostable containers. The sandwich was wrapped really well and all the ingredients were safely contained on the ride back to Forestville.”
“Excellent food - we ordered the lobster roll and crab sandwich and both were delicious! I preferred this restaurant over the one next door. There is a great amount of seating inside and outside, quick service, and small parking lot but there was street parking behind the restaurant. And there was a restroom there which was perfect for those traveling”
“Fun little spot. Drinks and fun atmosphere. We stopped in this gem while visiting our uncles. We came in and the place was ready. Fun and good customer service. Good drinks and good energy in this place. Wanted to come back for the Halloween party but we did not make it out. Maybe next time!”
“So today, I'd like to formally add an additional star to my review of Gold Coast Coffee & Bakery. Talk about going above and beyond. Not only, as you saw, did the owner reach out personally to respond to my review & answer my questions, but yesterday I took him up on his offer, called the bakery to request chocolate chip scones and this morning they were there, waiting for me. Beautiful, soft, delicious CHOCOLATE CHIP SCONES. Did I buy the whole tray? Maybe. Thank you Patrick & crew for A++++ customer service and A++++ chocolate chip scones. This is a primer in how to run a business. You have one very happy (& pretty full) customer this morning.”
“I asked for the veggie omelette with 2 eggs instead of 3 and MY GOD! It was sooo good! Very filling! And the flavor 10/10! I wish I would’ve gotten a picture before I devoured that thing ”
“Adorable wee shop, outstanding sandwiches and salads and amazing variety of delicious beverages (beer, wine, and many other fun options). Friendly staff and sitting out back by the river was so tranquil. We'll be back!”
“You have to go here if you visit Bodege Bay. We are obsessed with this place. Some of the biggest ice cream scoops I have ever had. Captain Davey himself works behind the counter and he does not fool around. He was giving it his all scooping ice cream for me and making amazing coffee with his very nice-looking espresso machine. If I lived here I would come once a week. This is a small place and its only one man so if you can go in the middle of the day you will avoid a line. There is not a lot of seating. The hot dog place next door let us use their bathroom.”
“Staying in town. Decided to come in for dinner and drinks. The staff was super friendly. I want to say our server/bar tender was Rhonda. We tried several things on the menu. The Chicken Basket was the real hero. Mozzarella sticks very good. We played a few songs and had a great time before heading to our next bar. Will absolutely return. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good time. This was our vibe all day. Thanks for making my birthday a great one !”
“Wow. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have visited Equality Vines. I visited with my mom for a wine tasting and we were pleasantly surprised at how great of a time we had.Upon entering the building, my mom and I were greeted by Ben. I was immediately blown away with the interior decor; every corner is filled with very unique and eye-catching art pieces (courtesy of the art gallery next door). Ben gave us time to admire all of the art before we proceeded with our tasting, and what a tasting it was! I love how each of the wines had a story, and Ben told them beautifully (my mom cried multiple times). We enjoyed each of the wines we tasted, but our favorite was the "Get Your Own Damn Coffee" Chardonnay. A great wine with an even better name.I love everything that Equality Vines represents, I've never known wine to be so inspirational/meaningful and I can't wait to return and buy more wine (two bottles was definitely not enough). Thank you Ben for the amazing story-telling and amazing personality. Thank you Matt for allowing me to reschedule my tasting. Such a great experience!!!”
“This is a lovely little roadside cafe. The setting is beautiful with views of the water. Easy ordering at the counter and then they call your name. They serve sodas, beer, wine and coffee. The fish tacos were good. My sister said the crab roll was yummy.”
“Had dinner for two last night. The flat iron steak was cooked to perfection. The goat cheese ravioli was excellent as well. Goat cheese can have a strong flavor that dominates the dish, but that was not the case. It was perfectly complemented by the pablano ”
“You know you’re at a good joint when the owner is joyfully roaming around enjoying the customers, both local and those on vacation. The steak sandwich and bottomless is phenomenal! Tourist locations are supposed to all be stuffy right? Wrong”
“Very tasty dinner. Baked Oysters were Excellent. Red white and blue salad one of the best I've had. And lastly- the crab roll was delicious! Great service and a nice vibe. Will come back.”
“This restaurant is an incredible experience. We made dinner reservations and absolutely loved our meals. I had a cockail and my husband had a glass of wine at the bar and then were seated. We had a view of the ocean and got to enjoy the sunset! The food was absolutely delicious! They have a pre-fixe menu with three items (appetizer, entree, and dessert) and you can also order items al la carte. They were flexible if you wanted to order just one item off the pre-fixe menu as well. Excellent customer service, incredible views, and the food was absolutely amazing. You can also enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine and sit out on their patio and enjoy the view! Make reservations in advance and enjoy this amazing place on the Sonoma Coast!”
