“My husband and I have decided this is the best bar ever. We met some locals who were gardening out front (literally gardening lol) and they made us want to go in immediately. Speaking of, if anyone knows the gardeners name we cannot remember for the life of us! Which may be due to the very strong drinks and amazing 90s dance pop music. We felt immediately at home, the bartenders were lovely, and we can’t wait to come back.”

“They have gluten free sourdough bread!!! It’s not on the menu, but you just have to ask!!And it’s a regular size piece! Not like when you get a tiny piece of GF bread for the same price. They told me they use the same toaster, because it’s a small kitchen, so maybe not ok for people with celiac, but so happy for meeeee.

I came on a busy day, but the staff was so kind and sweet.

They also have homemade pastries in the case, and house made focaccia had just been pulled out of the oven. I couldn’t eat any of it, but it smelled so good. My gluten eating friend got the biscuits and jam and absolutely loved it.

This place is such a gem, so full of heart, and has amazing coffee. They use artisan beans from Black Oak roasters which is up in Ukiah, so anything you order will be delicious. 🙏💕 Cannot recommend enough!”

“Amazing place to get a bite. I’ve had Spud’s for a few years now. Their clam chowder is the best I’ve ever had. I live 2 hours away, but make sure I get down to bodega bay every few months. The location is awesome, parking can be not great if it’s the weekend and it’s busy. It’s also great they have specials and locally caught seafood. If you haven’t heard of Spud’s then I’m sorry for ya. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone.”

“Great food and lots of it. It’s all good but my favorite is minestrone. Filled with veggies in a wonderful tomato broth. I always get at least one quart to go to eat throughout the week. Don’t forget the cookies”

“We had a wonderful dinner at The Altamont last night. Everything was fresh and we finally had a meal that was worth paying for. Steak sandwich, Ruben (specials they were offering), pork sandwich and a kids cheese burger. We also shared a side of fries. We will definitely make the trip back out again soon to enjoy more of their offerings. Also the building is beautiful! Bonus that it is kid friendly!”

“Cherie has brought her experience in interior design and with the fashion industry to this historical Lodge. Every room is high-end designed with personal outdoor jacuzzis and there is an adorable gift shop with reasonably priced goods. Rio Nido is quickly becoming a premier destination to suit vacation needs in the central Russian River. Rio Nido Lodge’s events are tastefully decorated and I am proud to own a home in Rio Nido nearby the Lodge after watching it be vacant and neglected for a handful of years.”

“I saw a post with pic of snickers cupcake and couldn’t stop thinking about them. Contacted Lana and ordered. Yum! Yum! Yum!! Moist chocolate cupcake with a light peanut butter frosting, drizzled with caramel then topped with bites of snickers! Even better than I thought they would be - thank you Lana! I will definitely be ordering again!”

“First time visiting, the setting is beautiful! The food is good and not over priced like so many wineries are. My only complaint are the pickles you get with your sandwich: the skin on them is so tough I could barely bite it. Also it would be nice if napkin holders were on the tables rather than in only one location.
Overall though I would definitely go back. The staff members are exceptional!”

“Do not pass this place up if you drive through the area! The owner brought us a sample of her salmon chowder while we waited for our food. The chowder is absolutely AMAZING! She shared awesome conversation of how she came about her salmon chowder. Great, family style atmosphere! We can't wait to return!”
