“We had a wonderful dinner at The Altamont last night. Everything was fresh and we finally had a meal that was worth paying for. Steak sandwich, Ruben (specials they were offering), pork sandwich and a kids cheese burger. We also shared a side of fries. We will definitely make the trip back out again soon to enjoy more of their offerings. Also the building is beautiful! Bonus that it is kid friendly!”

“We love staying at the Bodega Dunes Campground and walking to Terrapin Creek Cafe for dinner. The charred octopus salad is an amazing appetizer, which complimented our seafood stew and roast duck entrees. The waitress was wonderful and helped us select delicious wines. Be sure to reserve a table.”

“I had heard amazing things about this winery from other locals in Sonoma, but finally decided to check it out for myself! Laura was amazing in helping me select/book our tasting, as they have so many incredible options. We decided to book the ‘soaring’ experience, which included the most delicious, unique, flavorful food and wine pairings. I am truly still dreaming about every food pairing we had, I felt like I was in a Michelin star restaurant. The curry was definitely the star of the show for me, but every single bite/sip we had was truly exceptional.
Allie warmly welcomed us to the winery and made sure to encourage us to enjoy the (STUNNING) grounds both before and after our tasting, while handing us a delicious glass of bubbles to enjoy.
Taryn and Michael were the most personable, knowledgable hosts- we really enjoyed learning about the wines/winery, but also just talking and laughing with them. We never had empty glasses or had to wait for service- they were perfectly attentive while still giving us space to enjoy our experience.
The entire staff was very generous during our visit, including a few extra tastings of their personal favorite wines. I really appreciate that they invite every type of experience you could want- whether that be enjoying a bottle with friends while playing a board game, or treating yourself to a special food and wine pairing experience- all at a very welcoming price.

“My boyfriend had found this place as a recommendation for desert wines- wines that I prefer to drink. It had always been hard for me to find options at usual wineries as I feel most of them don’t carry desert wines, but luckily harvest moon winery did. The staff there were super friendly and educational on telling us all about their flight of desert wine they brought out for us, and we had a great time! The setting was absolutely stunning — quiet, serene, and surrounded by natural beauty. It was the kind of view that makes you want to take a deep breath and stay a while. The wines were just as memorable, especially the Zinfandels — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.

To top it all off, we were greeted by Poppy, the sweetest dog who made the whole experience even more charming. Between the warm hospitality, the incredible wines, and the peaceful ambiance, it was the perfect way to wind down our day.

“My husband and I have decided this is the best bar ever. We met some locals who were gardening out front (literally gardening lol) and they made us want to go in immediately. Speaking of, if anyone knows the gardeners name we cannot remember for the life of us! Which may be due to the very strong drinks and amazing 90s dance pop music. I ordered three street tacos—chorizo, chicken, and steak—and that steak taco? Buddy… it tasted like someone grilled the most excellent steak known to mankind, whispered words of encouragement to it, motivated it to reach its full potential, then sliced it into bite-size greatness. The salsa inside? So good I considered taking it home and introducing it to my family. My son ordered the happy hour cheese quesadilla, which came out perfectly toasted—crispy golden edges, soft cheesy center. Basically a work of art Picasso wishes he painted. Then we shared the habanero wings, which came with a medley of tomatoes and sliced cucumbers so fancy it felt like they were auditioning for a cooking show. The dressing? Absolutely delicious. I briefly thought about drinking it like a tiny salad smoothie. I didn’t… but I thought about it. In conclusion: If you’re not eating at The Hole in the Wall, are you even living? 🌮🔥🍗”

Jalapeño cheddar sausage: fun take on a sausage, great meatiness, recommend.
Oxtail: worth working on the bone for, smoky meaty, rich.
Pork ribs: melts off the bone and the muted saltiness of the meat gives you the opportunity to color your flavor palate however you want with their sauce.

The collard greens, Mac and cheese, jalapeño cornbread, and baked beans were solid side choices. For two people two got 2x two meat combos. The owners are dope, vibes are great, and highly recommend you visit!

Also: their potato salad is fresh, perfectly seasoned and less mayo forward to cut the fat of the meat. Their hit is probably their turkey which was so moist, we’ll be getting for thanksgiving!”
