“Driving through Occidental looking for lunch and saw the El Mariachi Café so we stopped in and had a meal! I had the huevos rancheros so simple and delicious, the fresh eggs cooked perfect! My son had chicken enchilada Verde and he loved his lunch as well! Nice and well kept out door dinning, clean and well maintained bathrooms. Appeared to be a two person operation and they we're doing a really good job! Highly recommend and will return for a meal?”

“We're locals and Negris is part of our family tradition! All minestrone soup and meat ravioli we eat elsewhere is critiqued against Negri's, they are the best. We were caught off guard last night when the main dining room (with its checkered table cloths, ball lights and metal rolling carts that deliver your dinner) is reserved now only for 15+ parties, and eating in the bar dining room was different for us... but within minutes we enjoyed the same lovely, genuine hospitality from the family, and the food was to die for! Why don't we go more often?...we always say with our overfilled bellies as we drive home.Kid-friendliness: Loud enough kids can be themselves... two pre-teens hung out at the fireplace while their parents enjoyed dinner. “Amazing experience! Our waiter was super kind and attentive to us. We got the rock cod, wok seared cabbage, and pad thai. They even gave us pandan soft serve on the house as we were celebrating a birthday! Will definitely be back in the future ☺️”

“We decided on this place for lunch, no reservation needed per yelp and website, wait time said to be 5 minutes. We were a party of 4, once we walked in we were told they were fully booked for the day, mind you that i Only saw two tables taken, however after speaking with the chef/owner, we convinced him that we wouldn't take more than 40 minutes to eat once the food was served and that we were exited to try some of their dishes, finally he agreed. We ordered several glasses of Jorden imported red wine and several dishes, the chicken kabobs were delicious, the lamb stew was also nice, the bean stew was very bland. It's not a big menu what you see on yelp is no longer there. I guess it's good that they don't over season the food, the fermented chilli sauce they provided did wonders to everything it touched! , we also got a mushroom dish that was hefty and delicious also Dungeness crab dumplings along with the other veggie dumplings. We were trying to rush because they were expecting several parties to arrive. The service slowed down after we got our food and as time passed we noticed other walk ins were getting seated with no hassles? Bigger parties than ours? I mean the owner came out to tell us we couldn't sit till we convinced him, so why was it that these other customers didn't get turned away as well? Anyhow after witnessing this I mentioned to our server that we were ready to pay so that we could clear the table, it was raining hard and still the place had several empty tables, this had me feeling some type of way, uneasy... Not the welcoming environment a good business would give. To be honest I've never experienced something like this. I'm glad I tried the food but the treatment in the beginning has me doubting to ever go back or to even recommend it to visitors in the area. Our server was friendly after he got to know us a little and so was the other young lady that was helping. One recommendation I can make is to please update the reservation status to: reservation only. No walk-ins, to prevent uncomfortable situations like mine.”

“We came by here after a birthing class, and the food/service were great. I also saw them accommodate a late to go order 15 min before closing! The food was spectacular, and we will definitely be coming back. We were fortunate, and were able to try a few things due to their restaurant week specials.We started with the lentil soup which was fabulous. The green salad with the mango salad was addictive. Husband had the lamb vindaloo and I had the Chana masala, both were excellent. The veggie samosa and sauces were fantastic. “So good! I knew how good their drinks were and have heard great things about the food so we have been dying to try it. My husband and I came in on a Saturday night and had our 2 year old with us... I let the host know my 2 year old was with us and that I was unsure if it was appropriate and he made us feel SO welcome. Overall the service was amazing, the drinks are exceptional, and the food is as good as we had heard. The smash burger is a must! :)”

“My wife and I wanted to try a restaurant we've not experienced and was able to find Redwood with the help of Yelp. The restaurant had a cool laid back feel. My wife is vegetarian and they had some nice choices. We started with a dish of Fried Chickpeas. Then the Route 1 Sourdough Bread and Butter was tasty. The Fried Potatoes were really temperature hot served with a nice aioli. Route 1 Pita & and Babaganosh was our favorite dish. I enjoyed the Yellowtail Crudo. The service was attentive and friendly. We look forward to returning:)”

Great location on Hwy 1, just north of the busy town of Bodega Bay before you get to the campground. I'll be back with my cycling buddies often. (Hrs: 8:30-2:30, Tuesday through Sunday). “I had the Herbal Mocha (brewed with roasted roots with reishi and maca added) and it was delightful. It was a rich and earthy bouquet without being bitter like some similar drinks can be. My barista (who I think was Emilou!) was very kind, and gave me some guidance on where in town I should check it because I haven't been in Sebastopol since 2007 and it's changed a LOT since then. “A perfect cafe, if such a thing can exist. Warm, wonderful, artful space with cool art and a great outdoor space. A great Skatepark right next to the cafe surrounded by redwood trees. The owners are the sweetest couple, the food is SO GOOD. Try the Beach Laffa, you’ll be glad you did. This is the only place in a 50 mile radius that can make a perfect Oatmilk cappuccino.”

“Went to Porter Creek during the Wine Road Barrel Tastings weekend in Sonoma. We were greeted at the parking lot by their two friendly dogs Poppy and Paco.We followed the little hosts (dogs) up the road to where they had set up the tent for the barrel tasting. It was rainy and cold but there were heaters to keep us warm.The barrel tasting of pinot noirs were pretty good. After that we went into the tasting room and tried the current pinot noirs. So good! We bought a few bottles to go.”

“During a business trip to Rohnert Park, we were fortunate enough to happen upon this gem! A menu with the right amount of variety. The food was absolutely delicious. The Walter Hansel Cuvee Alyce Chardonnay was breathtaking. I have never had better. The service was incredible. They had a small staff working to serve, but as soon as we finished a course, they were removing the dishes and delivering the next course, which was perfectly prepared. The restaurant is intimate, warm and inviting. It was very clear the entire staff enjoyed what they were doing and were proud of their work, as they should be! We look forward to the next opportunity to return, for sure. The only disappointing thing is that we live too far away to come here often.”

“Extremely tasteful, in every possible way. Natural wine focused, bottle shop and wine bar in Sebastopol. Very welcomed addition to the community and supports/stocks a lot of local, smaller, winemakers in Sonoma county I had never even heard of. From the moment you step in the décor feels welcoming and artisinal. Walls of wine create a canvas that would make even Matisse proud. The wine itself is like a mural of cultures - highlighting local producers in Sebastopol making avant-garde whites, to more non-traditional New Zealand umami-driven pinots, to Georgian funk fests. Punchdown imports it all and offers it here to share by the taste, glass and bottle. The key here is in the variety, yet the true life of Punchdown is in the unpretentious staff and afforable price points, allowing customers to indulge in such stimulating, global treats.”
