This was the absolute pinnacle of our trip to Napa Valley. I'm glad we went here last, because if we had started here... everything else would have been a disappointment. If you visit one winery on your trip, make AXR the one.First, our wine host Melissa was a complete joy to spend 2 hours with. By the end of our tasting, she was like family. Wines and tasting experience were superb. Extra points for our host John - it felt like we were talking to an old friend, and certainly did not feel like we were there for over an hour and a half. The knowledge he imparted as a former member of the wine-making-team also provided a unique perspective. It almost made amends for him being a Celtics fan (almost). Can’t wait for a return visit, and catch up with John over glasses of vino.

On our last day at Napa on 12/29/2023 we visted this great winery. We had the pleasure and the honor of being hosted by both Don and Mark 2 of the Fab 4. They were both very attentive, generous, and made our visit very pleasant. Although they normally don't host visitors (according to them) we felt they did a magnificent job with respect to the tour and the tasting itself. We enjoyed several of their wines and took some home to enjoy once again. Highly recommended.
