“A watering hole for the locals, it's a charming place with a jukebox to select your music. Dan, the bartender, is a nice guy who can provide a helpful ear if you wanna unburden yourself. Dan also makes a mean blood mary, which is described as the best in town on the directory board. I agree with that ad, twas a bloody good bloody mary ! You get a shrimp with it !!!!It's a small place with about 3-4 booths and easy to miss when walking in Sonoma downtown. We found it only coz it was 9:30pm and this was one of the few places open. FYI, its open till late night. Preferably, walk to this place. The locals are friendly and provide good stories you can sit and provide half an ear to when watching basketball or ice hockey. If you are interested, you can even watch star trek TNG.No food is available here though except for packaged chips. But deftly a lovely place to end your day at.A for sure return visit for me next time I'm in sonoma downtown.
Parking: Parking is on the street around the town square which can fill up pretty quickly. And its only a 2-3 hour parking.“

“I took my nephew to have lunch at the water tower bar. We had the best time. The bartender Dylan was amazing. The food was great. He made me feel comfortable about what was safe to order with the baby’s allergies.
Mariana the server was so kind and playful with my nephew. Great environment, good service, yummy food .“
“This restaurant is not anything like how it publicized itself! It is not Latin American. It is plain, run of the mill hotel food. Fine for hotel stayers convenience but not at all up to standard for the Sonoma restaurant options. We are locals and feel like we were lured here by the publicity and the expectation of trying tastes we don't normally run into. The one good thing is that the prices are extremely reasonable for Northern California.“

“Monday evenings at Layla have developed a loyal following, and after a recent visit, it’s easy to understand why.
Music Monday brings live local musicians to the patio while Burgers & Bordeaux offers an unusually civilized answer to the question, “What’s for dinner?” The combination creates a relaxed energy that feels distinctly Sonoma: good food, good wine, and no apparent rush to be anywhere else.
Inside, the dining room is bright and contemporary, softened by natural light and a welcoming staff who seem genuinely happy to see their guests. Service was attentive without hovering, polished without becoming formal.
The star of the evening for us may have been the Flor de Jamaica cocktail, served with a spicy rim (we asked for spicy version) and deep ruby color that practically glowed across the table. It was refreshing, slightly tart, and the sort of drink that makes you immediately wonder whether ordering a second is a brilliant idea or a dangerous one.
What impressed me most, however, was the atmosphere. Live music drifted in from the patio, conversations lingered, and tables seemed pleasantly reluctant to leave. In a region filled with restaurants competing for attention, Layla succeeds by making guests want to stay a little longer.“
“Beautiful property. Very nice suite rooms. Recommend this hotel for a visit in Sonoma.“
