“Great cocktails in a cool spot near the historic downtown Sonoma plaza. The perfect way to change things up during a wine tasting marathon. Quality, classy, yet modern and welcoming take on a speakeasy-ish cocktail bar. A perfect drink before dinner, or escape from the heat in summer. Check it out!“

“Great experience last night at this local Sonoma gem! Smallish menu with lots of starters to share and also some regular size entrees as well. The food was amazing. The service was great and friendly. We had a reservation for later in the evening but we called and they were happy to accommodate our request to come in earlier. I love sitting at the front window when we go with friends or sitting at the bar and watching the chef. Nice ambiance, kind of dark and moody with cool art on the walls. To start, we ordered the buratta. It was delicious. Served with pesto, Calabrian chilies and bread. We also ordered the raw oysters and a green goddess salad. For our mains - 3 of us ordered the boneless beef short ribs served with carrots and mashed potatoes and the other guest ordered the shrimp and grits. Needless to say we cleaned our plates! For dessert, we ordered the butterscotch pit de creme and a hot fudge sundae. I highly recommend this restaurant. Perfect location right on the Sonoma Plaza.“

“Huge recommendation to everyone for Kina’s.We dined at Kinas tonight after having been awol for a while. Wow! Just wow! The food is just great. We all shared the nachos as a family appetizer and the flavors were bursting in every bite.My daughter had the burger and loved it. It was enough that she brought 1/2 home and there were enough fries for the entire family to satisfy our craving. We both had the pozole (just one of 7 soups). The broth had a great mild spice and the soup was surely enough as a meal. They serve a side of chili oil to spice it up if you like. The food selection is great. I struggled to decide between the Fish Tacos and the soup. Plenty of parking. We have a couple of other regular spots around town and honestly, they simply don't match the flavor and quality of the food. Well done!!! We will be back for sure“

The Water Tower Bar Bistros • $$

“This is a poolside bar at the Fairmont Sonoma. You have a nice view of the pool and there is plenty of seating. I came here as soon as I got to the hotel for a quick bite. For a poolside bar I thought it was great. The white wine and cocktail were good and the hummus with naan and burger were just what we needed.“

Starling Bar Sonoma Bar • $

“Best "dive" bar in Sonoma by a mile. Great Vieux Carre and the team behind the bar are indeed mixologists. The pizza, hot dogs and meatball sandwich along with the chocolate chip cookies are some of the best bar food items you'll find anywhere. Live music most weekends and Sundays. This is the bar you want in your neighborhood....“

Town Square Inc Cocktail Bar • $

“A watering hole for the locals, it's a charming place with a jukebox to select your music. Dan, the bartender, is a nice guy who can provide a helpful ear if you wanna unburden yourself. Dan also makes a mean blood mary, which is described as the best in town on the directory board. I agree with that ad, twas a bloody good bloody mary ! You get a shrimp with it !!!!It's a small place with about 3-4 booths and easy to miss when walking in Sonoma downtown. We found it only coz it was 9:30pm and this was one of the few places open. FYI, its open till late night. Preferably, walk to this place. The locals are friendly and provide good stories you can sit and provide half an ear to when watching basketball or ice hockey. If you are interested, you can even watch star trek TNG.No food is available here though except for packaged chips. But deftly a lovely place to end your day at.A for sure return visit for me next time I'm in sonoma downtown.Parking: Parking is on the street around the town square which can fill up pretty quickly. And its only a 2-3 hour parking.“
